However, he has become very nauseous recently and has thrown up the last dosages I have given him. Also, he does not have much of an appetite and has lost weight.  His brain tumor keeps him bedridden because that's how the tumor has affected his mobility and gait.  When he sits up in bed he gets nausea. Thus, instead of curing nausea and increasing his appetite something seems to be creating the opposite effect--more nausea and vomiting.  Do you believe it could be the medical marijuana?  I mix his primarily THC with CBD oil and sometimes add a CBD tincture with the THC.  Would you please advise?\"\n_____________________\nYour husband is taking THC pills? Marinol? I would switch to a whole plant extract with CBD and THC that also contains the other cannabinoids and terpenes found in cannabis. This should be more effective.\n\nandrewvanmd\n_____________________\nSmoking or vaping cannabis can help with the immediate symptoms of nausea and vomiting. You can also put the oil on his gum and let it absorb through his mucous membranes. Obviously, this is a complex situation and there may not be one cause for his symptoms. YOu should also make sure the product you are giving him has been tested by a lab. CBD impacts the effect of the THC so you might try giving it independently. Again, inhalation can have an immediate impact on nausea.\n\ndneice\n_____________________\nUnfortunately in this population progression of disease can lead to these types of symptoms.  If you have not already done so, please contact your physician so that they can rule out acute issues such as hydrocephalus, acute bleed, increased edema, or rapid progression of disease.  Cannabis should assist with nausea and vomiting rather than exacerbate it.\n\nNP Joshua","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_11355-markdown","title":"Can I get a medical card in a state that THC is not legally available? Is obtaining a card possible without an address in a state that has this available?\"\n_____________________\nThis is a great question. This is highly dependent on the state and the laws in each state. Unfortunately, the laws are so different state by state that there is now way to know unless you look up the government regulations for that state. I would also do a back up check in with a dispensary within that state to make sure you do not go through the trouble and find no one will actually sell product to you.\n\nYou may not legally transport MM over state lines, this is illegal in every state.\n\nIn California, you can obtain a medical card as an out of state peron if you have the consultation with the doctor within state lines. That said, some dispensaries will still not serve you without a license. The dispensaries do not always follow the state laws, they often follow what they believe to be the state laws.\n\nI hope this helps!\n\npamelahadfield","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_11283-markdown","title":"is there a recommendation for ADHD, insomnia, anxiety? ","slug":"what-do-these-elixers-taste-like","content":"\"Do they taste like cannabis? Do you add them to a drink or just put them in your mouth? (I dislike the taste of cannabis).\"\n_____________________\nGreat question. They don't taste very much like cannabis, but rather a nice blend of various herbs. Each of them tastes different, but since they all have organic vegetable glycerin as the base, they're pleasantly sweet with a nice mouthfeel (the opposite of what you'd taste with an alcohol or olive oil extraction). Full Moon and Lullaby use the most bitter herbs, which helps with the physiological response of helping the body to ground. Some people put a dropper in a glass of water, but I'm a big proponent of taking them straight on the tongue. Bliss and Rock & Roll are generally the best tasting, but we suggest buying the elixirs based on the effect you're looking for. \n\nWe'll be hosting a demo/tastings at Green Door and Sonoma Patient Collective this Friday, and we'll have all the elixirs and topicals available to sample at our private Social Club in Napa Saturday the 23rd.\n\nherbabuena","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_11107-markdown","title":"How do you use this kief? Our kief is so refined it can also be dabbed though I think you lose some of its nuanced character in dab rigs, we have a lot of folks who add it to other concentrates. Supercritical CO2 is used for extraction of the plant material, which features our proprietary terpene separation process, allowing us to remove and preserve the natural terpenes prior to, and during the extraction process. The cannabis extract is then purified and converted into premium cannabis oil, which concentrates the cannabinoids and removes plant waxes and lipids. I have experience with a few different portable dry herb units, and have found that they all have different strengths (i.e: the DaVinci Ascent is a great unit for large groups of people due to it's bowl size.) When deciding to add a Firefly 2 to my collection, what should I expect it to excel most at? Is it more of a personal use vape, a session vape, or something else entirely? Thanks!\"\n_____________________\nGreat question!  My favorite use of the Firefly is to vape either by myself or with one or two other people.   The Firefly excels at creating very flavorful vapor - so it's great when you are in the mindset to sit and enjoy the experience.  \n\nOne bonus of the dynamic convection heating is that your material stops heating when you let go of the touch sensors.  This means you can take one or two hits off the Firefly, put it down for a while, and finish your session later.  \n\nWhile you can definitely use the Firefly in larger groups, I prefer to choose a few people to join me who will truly appreciate the quality of the experience.  I hope this helps!\n\nRachelDugas\n_____________________\nIn my opinion, the best way to use the FF2 is to play with the FF2 :)) Since there are many ways to get its full \"guts\"! It's mainly a vape that you sip and let on the side while you appreciate the taste, amazing that is. There are still some personal tricks to find to fit your usage and your goals. You have to somehow deserve the FF2's full capacity of vapor production. But what is cool with the FF2 is that you can adapt your pace or what you're looking for: session, one-hitter...You're not trapped in an single way of vaping! \nFYI the bowl is not that big so you can't be \"over-medicated\", unless you want to!\nIt's a nice portable vape that I personally use to manage my medication: \"need more\", \"just a sip and I'll be good\" that kind of use...really that type of \"à la carte\" use.\nMy advice would be just to play around with it, you see it'll be fun and you'll be able to really find your sweet spot after a little while! I believe it actually helps my ADHD as well as my anxiety, but I am beginning to wonder if it may be contributing to my problem. I have avoided more traditional pharmaceuticals. I would love to hear a doctor's input.\"\n_____________________\nThe answer is yes.  Several research  studies have demonstrated a negative effect of cannabis on learning and memory, attention, concentration, and abstract reasoning. The effects of THC on neurodeveolment appears to be dose related and may be greater when exposure is initiated in adolescence. It is unclear as to the long term consequences are in terms of chronicity and reversibility. One must keep in mind that anxiety, stress, and depression can adversely affect a persons ability to attend and that when these conditions improve, so does ones ability to focus.  While many patients report an improvement in their ability to focus when using cannabis, we cannot say that this isn't due to cannabis' ability to decrease stress and anxiety and elevate mood. I am not aware of studies showing that cannabis treats ADHD per se.  To the contrary, I have seen a number of adult patients with ADHD diagnosed in childhood who have not found cannabis to be effective in treating their distractibility though it has helped alleviate anxiety or pain. While you do not mention your age, how long you have been using cannabis, or how much,  I would suggest abstaining for a period of time while journaling your ability or inability to focus, attend, and stay on task.  It will be clear to you if your symptoms improve or not.\n\ndrfrye\n_____________________\nI agree with Dr Frye and also wonder about your age. Many children were diagnosed with ADHD and placed on drugs but now we have studies that if children are allowed to learn in the woods with activity all day, the kids are happy, creative, intelligent, secure and there is not a single child with ADHD but that is in another country where they may not be administering the massive number of immunizations we assault children with from birth. Then children are drugged if they can't sit still at 5 or 6 years old but that is punishing a child for being a child and needing activity throughout the day. Then when the child is an adult they are moved on to Adderall! So now I have a child whose reached adulthood and they haven't been allowed to go through the process of exploring who they are and they have just been told they are defective and drugged.\nIdeally, the cause of the anxiety should be treated with detoxification, nutritional balancing, high CBD, low THC cannabis and training to stay in present moment. \nI have delivered babies for 45 years and I have yet to deliver and anxious newborn, they are naked, happy little babies but then their family proceeds to give them ugly overcoats of worry and fear. That child does not know they should not wear the overcoat, that it is not theirs, the child wears the overcoat because it was given to him and anxiety and fear are well learned from the family members.\nYour body may be resisting being drugged because the real you is trying to evolve. We are spiritual beings having a human experience and we came here to do work to help each other. Find your mission in life and stay on your path, This CBD cannabis will help you with neurological stability along with vitamin D and possibly other nutritional supplements to make your genetic chart work right.\nIt is an exciting time in your life if you're waking up to you, have fun exploring who you are but look at everything with new eyes and drop the judgment of your past because it probably is not serving you well anymore and you can actually look at the bright story. For every dark side there is a light side, Your job maybe to find that light side in your past story and share your experiences.\nSativa cannabis with it's high THC level, is contraindicated in ADHD. You are the only one who knows how your body responds to cannabis and you must listen to the internal communication so you can find that calm spot in your yourself.\n\ndrolson","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_10674-markdown","title":"I have been experimenting with oils how does the potency amounts translate to inhales?","slug":"i-have-been-experimenting-with-oils-how-does-the-potency-amounts-translate-to-inhales","content":"\"I am looking for the best help for inlammatory neurogenic pain. Thank you\"\n_____________________\n     I have an experience working with patients with low body weight due to psychostimulant use and eating disorders. You might actually benefit from use of an appetite stimulating controlled dose of the cannabinoid THC in a pill form. Products like Kindcaps and the Daily Chill Pill contain 10mg THC in a gel cap or coconut oil capsule. Low dose THC can reduce the anxiety so many patients with ADHD experience as a principle symptom. Low dose THC can also spark focus, enhance attention and creativity and offer up to eight hours of positive mental attitude for a young adult.\n\n     It makes common sense that using a nutrition and calorie dense THC infused edible in a 5 to 10mg THC dose will offer both nutritional and therapeutic benefits of long duration.\n\n     I promise you that the best way to build lean body mass is to have your son work with a strength trainer using the hypertrophy formula. That is 80% of the maximum strength capacity for a select multipoint exercise. With proper progression you should see enlargement, sculpting and definition of muscles, increased bone density and an improved mood and appetite due to the natural increase in the hormones testosterone and growth hormone. \n     The complexities of authorizing a 13 year old to use medical marijuana can be a hurdle. I encourage you to talk first with your son's pediatrician about the idea of using medical cannabis in a reliable low dose pill form, rather than an inhaled method. When you have secured the support of your pediatrician you can search the web to identify medical cannabis doctors who are comfortable authorizing a minor with both parental consent and consent of the pediatrician. This is the standard that is currently being promoted in California.\n\ndrsumchai","image":null}}]}},"pageContext":{"limit":12,"skip":24,"numPages":4,"currentPage":3,"id":4918,"name":"Add/adhd","slug":"addadhd","country":"US"}},"staticQueryHashes":["3949754563","4179947113","4202924991"]}
