You can use them for back pain AND menstrual cramps. Just be sure to wear a panty liner that day!:)\n\nthehighnote\n_____________________\nThe main three things I recommend for menstrual cramps are tinctures, suppositories, and topicals. All can be used discretely if you choose the right product. \r\n\r\nMoxie Meds has a 4:1 CBD:THC tincture that has a very mild scent and is potent, so you don't need to consume a lot. It can be dropped in your mouth or added to a beverage. The high CBD ratio means you can experience pain relief while keeping psychoactive effects to a minimum. I use 2-4 drops under my tongue for cramps. \r\n\r\nForia offers suppositories for menstrual pain. These would be undetectable and provide relief from cramps and associated pain. \r\n\r\nTopicals are fantastic for lower back pain. Sweet Releaf offers a topical that has a very mild odor, it smells more like a moisturizing balm. At home after work I suggest Om Edibles topical oil paired with a hot water bottle or heating pad. The scent is slightly stronger with that oil, but it is very effective. This is the most effective treatment for lower back pain from cramps.\n\nandrea13","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_11347-markdown","title":"Do Terra Bites have a particular strain in them, or how do strains relate to edibles?","slug":"do-terra-bites-have-a-particular-strain-in-them-or-how-do-strains-relate-to-edibles","content":"\"I have read that I should be aware of what strain I am taking for best effect. I am dealing with persistent back pain from an injury.\"\n_____________________\nOur edible products (including the Terra Bites) all contain hybrid strains of cannabis- so you will have both sativa and indica effects from them. With edibles it's challenging to make products strain-specific because of the difficulty of scaling for mass production. The jury is also out on how much the strain really impacts the edibles experience. Here is an excellent article from Leafly about the impact of using specific strains on cannabis edibles. After some experimentation they concluded that people had trouble telling the difference between a pure sativa and pure indica edible experience. This may have something to do with the way human bodies process THC when eaten, and it may even be impacted by a person's expectations of the experience itself.\n\nhttps://www.leafly.com/news/cannabis-101/indica-vs-sativa-cannabis-edibles-will-they-affect-you-differentl/?platform=hootsuite\n\nchristiestrong","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_11323-markdown","title":"Can you use these products while pregnant or breastfeeding? Foria Explore and Foria Relief users are reporting anywhere from 4-24 hours of pain relief.   One suppository is one dose, so I recommend starting with that and up your dose if necessary.  Please be mindful that one suppository has 60mg of THC and 10 of CBD and although most people do not experience any psychoactive effect, more than one dose at a time can be a lot of cannabis for some. I have back pain, arthritis, headaches, copd and insomnia. What are some good strains for these - both daytime and nighttime?\"\n_____________________\nTo avoid psychoactivity and mental fog, use high CBD strains like ACDC or CBD:THC ratios of 1:1 or 2:1(Harlequin, Cannatonic, Medi-Haze). Topical cannabis salve is effective in relieving pain, inflammation, and spasm when massaged into the affected area - great for day or night. Small amounts of strains like Blue Dream are good for daytime pain and inflammation but have some psychoactivity that usually dissipates after an hour or so if you don't use too much. But for a full entourage effect, try to use a strain that has at least some CBD. CBD and THC act better together than either one does by itself. Acetaminophen potentiates the pain relieving effects of THC. NSAIDs diminish THC's pain relief. Indicas like Granddaddy Purple, Purple Haze, Purple Urkle, Critical Kush, Master Kush are excellent strains for nighttime. Not only do they relieve pain, muscle spasm, and inflammation but they facilitate falling and staying  asleep.\n\ndrfrye\n_____________________\nWell, for the day time you are going to want something that can give you the effects, but not something that puts you down energy wise. That's great at night, but what about if you have things to do? Sativas, they give you that creative boost as well as making life more bright and cheery. (Green crack is a great daytime medicine.  It helps with lack of appetite in my case. ) Indica is your night dosage. Helps you sleep kills pain for a relaxing finish to you day. Spent time with your family or play some video games. I need help fast!","slug":"what-is-the-best-medication-for-excruciating-back-pain-i-need-help-fast","content":"\n_____________________\nChronic back pain, be it caused by neuropathy, inflammation, or muscle spasm, can be alleviated with medicinal cannabis. A variety with a 1:1ratio of THC:CBD maximizes the analgesic, muscle relaxing, and anti-inflammatory activity, reduces anxiety, and elevates the mood . Patients who use this ratio remain clear minded, focused, and productive without feeling high or stoned. Topical cannabis salves and lotions are also very effective in reducing or eliminating pain. For more severe back pain, a bit more THC can be pain-distracting. Meaning, while pain may still be present, the patient isn't  \"bothered\" by it.\n\ndrfrye\n_____________________\nI am an osteopathic physician and have been doing integrated medicine and nutritional medicine with 45 years license experience so there are some very simple things that may have been overlooked in your care. First, be sure you correct your posture at least 100 times a day. Your nerves can't call you on the telephone to scream, \"get off us\" and if you drug this pain and it's just compression on the nerve, it has to scream louder because pressure on the nerve, kills the nerve. Second, add dehydration to the posture problems and you have even more pressure on the nerve. Long term dehydration, dehydrates the disc increasing the risk that simple movement can fracture the disc allowing the jelly center to extrude putting more pressure on the nerve especially when you add inflammation. Third, most humans are nutritionally deficient in vitamin D and they are under the delusional belief they can get enough sun to make up that difference. Our ancestors live naked outside all day, they did not wear sunscreen or shower frequently and we know wearing clothes, sunscreen and showering the oils off our skin when we come in from being outdoors actually reduces our vitamin D since we make the vitamin in our skin. Vitamin D really should be called hormone D because it is necessary for all healthy functions in the body. I find the lab values are wrong for vitamin D levels. The laboratory says 30 to 100 ng/ml a vitamin D3 is an okay level but that's if you don't mind Ricketts a devastating bone disease. For optimal health you must maintain your vitamin D3 serum level (25-OH D) above 55 ng/ml. If you have kidney disease your kidney clearance must be monitored. Why don't doctors talk about it more? Because in most doctors have never studied nutrition and have no clue how to help you get well but there's certainly well-versed on how the drug the symptoms away but then you lose a valuable feedback loop of your body communicating with you.\nIf you are well hydrated, stretch frequently and maintain good posture, increase Omega-3 and reduce all Omega-6 and Omega-9 in your diet, you will start to improve but adding high CBD cannabis will act as a very effective anti-inflammatory but it is just not instantaneous and takes about 2 1/2 to 3 weeks to get rid of most inflammatory cells. Then add the topical cannabis salve and you should start to feel well in a very short period of time.\nThere are many other natural tests that can be done to tell the state of your nutrition and are of great benefit in helping you get attain a higher state of health but most doctors are now employed by the insurance industry who dictates how your doctor will practice medicine for profit to the insurance company, after all, a well patient is worth no money. I have always believed if I help one person heal, that person sends 10 friends.\nGood luck on your journey to health. We're here to help you.\n\n\ndrolson\n_____________________\nTopicals! Cannabis topicals are amazing for pain. I'd recommend something like Xternal Balm, which is effective and very fast-acting. You can find this product at many dispensaries in California.\n\njaene\n_____________________\nCannabis can provide rapid relief for pain. Indica strains will provide the best pain relief, especially if they include CBD. You may want to try a topical, applied directly to the most painful area. Edibles can provide a longer duration of pain relief, while inhaled cannabis will be more rapid, but the effects will dissipate within a few hours.\n\nandrewvanmd\n_____________________\nAs far as medicinal cannabis goes I would try and find an AC/DC (or other high CBD strain with less than 25% THC) concentrate and combine that with a topical cannabis cream. That is my personal \"maximum strength\" pain relief. I enjoy the AC/DC concentrate because of how potent it can be and how quickly it reduces my pain. I do understand that a lot of people like to stay clear of concentrates. They can be intimidating and, in a lot of cases, far too strong in THC content for most users (normally AC/DC is low enough to not worry about it). If that is the case then vaping a High CBD strain will work as well. The topicals are great for local muscular pain and help to reduce local inflammation/pain, while the CBDs do a great job of reducing my body's muscle spasms over all.\n\nOn top of this I would also make sure that you are drinking enough water. A lot of back pain can be avoided by simply drinking enough water to keep the spaces between your joints, discs, vertebrae, etc. hydrated and properly cushioned. It is especially important to stay hydrated before you go to bed as this is when a lot of water has time to rehydrate hard to reach spots in your spine.\n\nryan\n_____________________\nHave taken Nnorco for 6 years for back pain and have cirvicogenic headaches. Is there a concern for the other meds?\"\n_____________________\nWhat we know from research is that Prozac is no better than a placebo but it costs more and has side effects but a placebo has no side effects. If you go off the Prozac you can stop it immediately but hold onto extraProzac because in about 4 to 5 days your body may scream for the medicine and you can give it one or two Prozac and then discontinue it again. In about a week your body will want more Prozac, this time you give it one and maybe one the next day and discontinue the medicine. Going back and forth like this you should be able to go off the Prozac very easily, quickly and successfully. You should be taking CBD cannabis the whole time you were going off the Prozac because the CBD should be much more effective in resolving depression unless the depression is due to a genetic problem or a dietary deficiency. The Trazodone is a much bigger problem but for that you definitely want to have a good Indica and probably a vape pen of Indica by the bed in case you awaken in the middle of tonight. Do not do Sativa in the later afternoon or your Indica will just keep bumping your THC backed up and stimulating your brain making it impossible to sleep.\nHappy dreams.\n\ndrolson","image":null}}]}},"pageContext":{"limit":12,"skip":60,"numPages":7,"currentPage":6,"id":4983,"name":"Back Pain","slug":"back-pain","country":"US"}},"staticQueryHashes":["3949754563","4179947113","4202924991"]}
