Want to stop using prescribed opiate pain killers, but need to get steady pain relief. Any suggestions?\"\n_____________________\nHi there!\nYour choices would be between either pure CBD products, or those with low concentrations of THC in relation to CBD. When searching for the latter—which should be somewhat more effective than pure CBD—look for ratios of between 10:1 and 20:1. Ratios indicate the parts of CBD vs parts of THC; most often, the first number indicates the portion of CBD; the second, the portion of THC. So, 10:1 would indicate 10 parts of CBD, per every part of THC. Therefore, a 10:1 product would contain a higher proportion of THC than would a 20:1 product. \n\nSome excellent products to consider:\nhttps://www.hellolift.com/products/5b57a71f02f1740001522f78/cbd-hemp-oil-capsules\nhttps://www.hellomd.com/products/58ed54d1c064b41c99fad29e/181-sublingual-drops\nhttps://www.hellomd.com/products/5bce4990644bb2fbfe167141/cbd-rich-wild-strawberries\nIf the pain is localized, I also recommend topical products with BOTH CBD and THC (topical creams won't cause psychoactivity):\nhttps://www.hellomd.com/products/5b6e09bd96120c00012c6935/13-releaf-balm\nhttps://www.hellomd.com/products/5b6e0e4a96120c00012c6946/31-releaf-balm\nI hope this helps!\n\ndrkim","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_8981-markdown","title":"What is the best form of CBD oil to use in chemo for Stage 2 breast cancer?","slug":"what-is-the-best-form-of-cbd-oil-to-use-in-chemo-for-stage-2-breast-cancer","content":"\"I tried some in dropper form but it caused a lot of abdominal cramping and gas.\"\n_____________________\nHi there! Cannabis has never been shown to cure cancer in humans. It has been shown to kill some type of cancer cells in a laboratory. There have been stories by many people saying that they have been \"cured\" of various types of cancers using some type of cannabis oil or product. What cannabis has been shown to do is help with nausea from chemotherapy treatements and well as increasing appetite. That being said, there is most likely no harm in using cannabis along with whatever treatment your physician recommends. I would suggest telling then that you are using it as well.\n\nPerry Solomon, MD\n_____________________\nAlthough there are no large, controlled, scientific studies to show that cannabis heals cancer (and I doubt there ever will be), many people claimed to been healed using cannabis. Most likely, they also did other things like correct their diet, supplements, maybe ozone therapy, etc. Research \"Rick Simptom Oil\", it's a potent cannabis oil, and doses that people state have healed their cancer is explained on various sites, such as this: http://phoenixtears.ca/dosage-information/ The instructions can be confusing, such as comparing doses to the size of a grain of short rice, but this is what I would use if I had cancer. My dog has cancer right now, so I've been researching all of this. \n\ncheryldell\n_____________________\nThe HelloMD answer, from Dr. Solomon, is meant to legally protect the website from Federal authorities. There have been some studies showing that THC and CBD may contribute to a decrease in disease progression. Hemp could increase the anticoagulant effect of blood thinners by inhibiting its metabolism. It directly affects the anticoagulant properties of platelets in the blood. Therefore it naturally acts as a blood thinner and should rather be a replacement for blood thinning meds. More studies and understanding of Cannabis oil is needed. The lack of knowledge of how to use medical marijuana effectively leads to the advice of rather not using cannabis oils for patients using blood thinners for their clotting deficiency or other cardiac medical conditions. Are you really asking for a cannabis oil to treat breast cancer that has reoccurred? \nYou can treat the symptoms with cannabis oil but I do not encourage you to treat cancer with Cannabis because there's no proof other than anecdotal stories (and that is not proof, only someone else's story) that cannabis may work.\nI have 45 licensed years experience doing integrated medicine and I do think many people have been led down the wrong road to believe that cannabis will cure their cancer but unfortunately I have watched too many of those people go on to suffer bad consequences.\nPlease, find an oncologist you can trust and fight the cancer with known Western medical treatments while supporting yourself with Cannabis for the symptoms. \nWith current medical treatments for breast cancer there is a high rate of recovery or at least long remissions buying you time for a potential cure. You can never let down your guard when you have breast cancer because it can return as much is 30 years later.\nIf you have fear over further surgical and chemotherapy treatments, you must face your fears and walk-through them, do the treatments and hold intentions to survive. \nI had a tremendous fear of chemotherapy and it made my treatment much worse, so I had to have a talk with myself to change my attitude and my chemotherapy from that point on was very easy and I feel I will live a long healthy life as long as I do regular follow-up visits and of course I'm doing my cannabis daily because I also believe in this medication and feel it helped save my life.\nConsider picking up your phone and finding that new oncologist today, your life may depend on it. You are allowed to decide who is not right to see you and keep moving on until you find the right person. I have fired several doctors because they didn't listen to me or they did not honor what I had to say about myself and my wishes in the time of turmoil.
