If it is 1/2 cup, then make the canna-oil (coconut oil works best) before hand, then measure out 1/2C for the recipe. Simply simmer the buds in the oil for 20 minutes, make sure it reaches 220* F if you want it activated, and then strain the leaves out. You can eat the leaves later for a nutritional boost. It is so variable how much gets in each \"piece\" of food. And edible foods infused with marijuana can make a person VERY stoned; it can come on quickly or slowly, and since the body must metabolize it as a food, it can take days to get \"un-stoned\". There is no anti-dote for being stoned.\nON the other hand, the tinctures or the \"terra bites\" have more regulated doses in the serving. This is the following recipe a past patient has given me that I've modified as I given it to various patients: 1) Obtain a crock pot/ slow cooker\n2) Measure out 1 cup of coconut oil (we've chosen this over the years b/c Costco\n has it on sale in large tubs); I'm sure other oils can be used too\n3) Patientshave then placed 15-17 grams flower material in the oil; this number is\n through trial and error. If you're new to this or weigh less than 120 lbs, you \n may want to use less. If you weigh more or think you have some tolerance, \n maybe a little more. Make sure there is a good mix of cannabinoids like CBD/ \n THC in the mix\n4) Slow cook @ 6 -8 hrs/ one work day between 200-300 degrees F to allow for\n the cannabinoids to \"decarboxylate\"/ \"release\" & \"activate\" from the plants\n5) Add essential oils but I would say sparingly and just individually at a time; in \n other words try diff. batches w/ diff. essential oils. From what I understand \n about aromatherapy, every scent is therapeutic in a diff. way\n6) Let us know how things work!
