In addition to this he is staying in my home in which I have a two patient grow, so it seems like getting him a recommendation would be the smartest move. How do I go about this? Do I have any chance, to beat my cancer with such a therapy?\"\n_____________________\nStudies on Medical Marijuana for Prostate Cancer and Other Cancers\nBecause Marijuana is illegal in the Federal US, it is hard to get proper clinical studies on this medication. In terms of prostate cancer, results from a study at the University of Wisconsin suggest that cannabinoid receptor agonists could be developed as a treatment for prostate cancer.\n\nA study (2) at Harvard University found that marijuana has an anti-tumor effect. The study was on mice that had been injected with human lung cancer. They injected the mice with THC for three weeks. They found that the THC in marijuana cut common lung cancer tumor growth in half and inhibited the ability of the cancer to spread. There was a reduction in cancerous lesions on the lung by 60%. The group was compared to a placebo.\n\nIn recent discussions, scientists reported that THC and other cannabinoids such as CBD (cannabidiol) can kill or slow the growth of certain cancer cells growing in laboratory dishes. Some studies involving animals also suggest certain cannabinoids may slow growth and reduce spread of some forms of cancer. The problem is that these substances have not been tested in humans. At this time there is not any scientific evidence from US controlled studies in humans that cannabinoids can cure or treat cancer in people.\n\nIn 2008, a team of scientists in a combined effort between Spain, France, and Italy conducted laboratory tests that they published in The Journal Of Clinical Investigation. The researchers showed THC as a cure for brain cancer as well as had the ability to terminate other cancer cells in the body. If your landlord specifies otherwise, then no you may not. He or she has the right under the federal Fair Housing Act to deny your smoking within his building. Although it is legal in CA to obtain medical marijuana with a doctor's recommendation, the federal Fair Housing Act operates under federal jurisdiction, and as we know, cannabis is not legal on the federal level. From what I understand, it is possible to be evicted for smoking marijuana in an apartment, depending on the rules of your building or how your landlord might react. Many now write marijuana use clauses into their leases, so it is important to check! This is similar to how landlords write in clauses regarding cigarette and cigar smoking.\n\nMy suggestion to you is to be fair to your neighbors and those around you and smoke outside away from the building. It you are involved in an incident at work involving public safety or property damage and testing is mandated you will undergo industrial drug testing that is highly sensitive and specific given the civil litigation impacts of false test results in such a setting. Hair samples can be tested that will yield positive results when blood and urine tests are questionable.
