I am to the age where I would like to expiriment w recreational use of marijuanna. I have a few times and it seems like the effects are more severe and long lasting on me, could this be because my body is less capable of processing the thc and other chemicals? The days after I get a dull pain in my abdoman right about where the liver is located. It could very well be all in my head bc I am a hypocondriac, but would just like a definitive answer as to wether or not recrational marijuanna use would be harmful to someone in my position. I am on a plethra of anti-rejection meds and what not, also have ulcerative colitis. Please help\"\n_____________________\nPast \"extant\" case reports in the literature state cannabis use in the transplant population is associated with conditions such as glomerulonephritis, heart arrhythmias like ventricular tachycardia and toxicity from anti-rejection meds like tacrolimus. However, newer studies seem to show survival rates for cannabis users for liver, kidney, lung, & heart transplants are the SAME as for non-users. With this information, I would just have an honest talk with the transplant team and ask if cannabis use is okay/not prohibited. I wouldn't, however, necessarily assume that I could get off my anti-rejection medications.\n\ndrpark","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_9177-markdown","title":"California medical marijuana identification card","slug":"california-medical-marijuana-identification-card","content":"","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_9169-markdown","title":"Has anyone gotten relief from Tinnitus and Anxiety associated with Tinnitus from medical cannabis?","slug":"has-anyone-gotten-relief-from-tinnitus-and-anxiety-associated-with-tinnitus-from-medical-cannabis","content":"\n_____________________\nI'm sorry that you or your loved ones are being forced to suffer through tinnitus. Although there are anecdotal cases of having tinnitus patients being successfully treated with cannabis products for symptom relief, the following prospective randomized control trial using a rodent model shows cannabis increasing, not decreasing the incidence of tinnitus : https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4364172/ However, if you still would like to explore cannabinoids as possible agents in dealing with tinnitus, I might recommend trying products with some of the lesser known/lesser \"tested\" compounds (i.e. CBN, THCA, etc). According to the literature, lessening the amount of caffeine, alcohol, and/or tobacco may be helpful. The literature also mentions Vitamin A & Niacin also potentially helping with tinnitus. I’m looking at starting her on Cannabis Oil ASAP. From what I’ve read CBD and THC work best together so I want to start her on 100mg CBD & 50mg THC in the day and 50mg CBD & 100mg THC at night (the night dose as a suppository). Over the month working up to 400mg CBD & 200mg THC in the day (perhaps in 2 doses) and at night 250mg CBD & 500mg THC, continuing that dose for the next few months. Obviously dependent on how she tolerates it. Does that sound about right? These doses are pure, So for example if the oil is 35% CBD, I’ll give her 100mls for a 350mg dose. \"\n_____________________\nI am very sorry to hear about your mother and I admire your efforts and support. I highly recommend working with a dispensary pharmacist for the best product, dosage, and administration recommendations to maximize your mother's treatment goals. HelloMD will gladly assist by first consulting with your mother for a medical cannabis card which can occur relatively quickly. Once the card is issued, your mother can register with the state and list you as a caregiver so that you both can work with the pharmacist moving forward. I hope you find this information helpful and best of luck. \n\njennifernp","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_9152-markdown","title":"How do i get a medical marijuana card?","slug":"how-do-i-get-a-medical-marijuana-card","content":"","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_9149-markdown","title":"Is there any cannabis product out there that will help with lupus and fibromyalgia?","slug":"is-there-any-cannabis-product-out-there-that-will-help-with-lupus-and-fibromyalgia","content":"\n_____________________\nyes\n\nplennoxht\n_____________________\nI'm sorry to hear about the lupus/fibromyalgia! There are a plethora of products that could be useful. For quick acting general analgesia/pain control and anxiety/mood management during the day, one could use vape-pens or tincture drops diluted in hot tea/coffee/soup. Make sure that along with CBD that there's a decent dosage of THC as well for the \"entourage effect\" seen at the receptor. Most fibromyalgia patients have problems sleeping and so I would also suggest micro-dosed edibles (still a decent amount of CBD but slightly increased amounts of THC and other sleep-inducing cannabinoids like CBN). Fibromyalgia requires a multi-modal response; in the past I've always suggested that patients have cognitive behavioral therapy and a mild physical therapy/exercise regimen daily in addition to medical cannabis. Patients should also refer to sites like FibroFacts.com to further educate themselves on their condition. Patients should also start omega-3's for anti-inflammation.\n\ndrpark\n_____________________\nYes offcourse. It has no specific predictable effect on blood sugar (except for increasing appetite which may lead to a rise in blood sugar from eating), and there is no clinical science I'm aware of showing diabetes occurs less often in cannabis users. Nevertheless, cannabis has been reported as helpful for patients experiencing diabetes complications like peripheral neuropathy, and may have some other specific benefits for patients with diabetes. Remember too that most chronic conditions do better when the emotional and mental side of life feel easier and cannabis can be helpful in moderating mood, reducing anxiety, and improving sleep.\n\ndrelkind","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_9129-markdown","title":"Can i get a medical cannabis card for my Anxiety, ADHD, and no sleep in the state of Pennsylvania?","slug":"can-i-get-a-medical-cannabis-card-for-my-anxiety-adhd-and-no-sleep-in-the-state-of-pennsylvania","content":"\"my anxiety is so bad i dont leave my house an my ADHD just makes it 10x worse because im hyper all the time but im to scared to go anywhere.
