An enlarged prostate can be caused from a variety of reasons, and one of the more common ones is from a condition called Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy (BPH). Unfortunately there isn't much scientific research exploring the link between the use of cannabis or CBD and BPH. Making some lifestyle changes can improve your symptoms. These include: regular trips to the restroom to empty the bladder, double voiding meaning emptying the bladder twice in a few minutes time, avoiding beverages close to bedtime, not holding in urine when you feel the urge to go, staying active, maintaining a healthy weight, avoiding alcohol and caffeine, eating a healthy diet, increasing lycopene intake, and considering a saw palmetto supplement. Best of luck!\n\ndrjacquelynlew\n_____________________\nHello my name is Thomas Karol , my husband was suffering from liver cancer, and the doctor's told me that there is nothing  they could do to save my beloved husband life. Then a friend told me about hemp oil , i told her that my husband liver cancer was in the last stage that i don’t think the hemp oil will be able to help, and she persuaded me to try, for the love of my husband, i decided to give it a try. I did some research and i found a doctor who helped me with the cannabis oil to cure my husband liver cancer and he assured me that after 3 months the liver cancer will be gone, and For the past one year my husband is perfectly okay and he is free from cancer, if you know any one who is suffering from cancer you can save his/her life by contacting Dr. Brown Nelson via his email : (brownnelson07@aol.com) it worked exactly as the doctor prescribed. A good article is from ProjectCBD.org, here is the link https://www.projectcbd.org/guidance/cannabis-oil-vs-hemp-oil\nFrom the feedback I have had from many members that have used both, CBD from cannabis strains seems more effective.  CBD from hemp lacks critical medicinal terpenes and secondary cannabinoids found in cannabis oil. The combination of factors you describe, including lack of knowledge regarding the exact ingredients used in making in the preparation you applied, make this a far too complicated problem to advise you about in any detail.  I would not apply anything at all to the area at this point until you get properly evaluated, and the presence of redness leading away from the area implies that you should be evaluated promptly.     \n\ndrelkind","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_9118-markdown","title":"I am seeking CBD treatment for a relative.","slug":"i-am-seeking-cbd-treatment-for-a-relative","content":"\"with MS, a lot of neurological damage causing psych issues, and PTSD.I was going to try the regimen that Dr. Sharon Olson suggested, 28:1, 5 drops, 4 times a day. I am not a Dr., and I don't have any personal experience in this, but while you're waiting for someone to share their experience here, I encourage you to check this out: https://www.hellomd.com/search?term=multiple%20sclerosis\n\nYou can read different questions, answers, articles, and comments from patients, and doctors re: Multiple Sclerosis. Hopefully you'll be able to find some useful content there.\n\nmelissa\n_____________________\n I'd suggest trying more THC in the preparation if you are seeking effects on mood and \"neuropsych\" issues.  This is achieved by increasing the dose or changing to a preparation with a greater concentration of THC.  I have had positive results in MS patients using inhaled cannabis, particularly for moderation of mood, reduction of muscle spasm, and improved relaxation.  These patients used THC dominant cannabis, although I would recommend the preparation include lots of CBD as this has an important moderating influence on THC effects.  If you are employing a vape pen these preparations are available in a wide variety of CBD:THC ratios.  There are also lots of orally absorbed and edible preparations available at different CBD:THC ratios.  I suggest cautious experimentation rather than considering cannabis recommendations a prescription, as patients commonly report having tried a number of things before discovering what is helpful.   \n\ndrelkind","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_9110-markdown","title":"Should cannabidiol hemp extract be used to treat sarcoidosis?","slug":"should-cannabidiol-hemp-extract-be-used-to-treat-sarcoidosis","content":"\n_____________________\nHi there! However, dosing of the CBD can be tricky, and there are known medication interactions between CBD and AEDs, so this is definitely a journey you need to undertake with the full cooperation of your neurologist. I would recommend a trial of a combination of CBD and THC in a 1:1 ratio starting with a low dose of 2.5mg and increasing slowly. Both of these naturally occurring organic compounds have been shown in limited laboratory and clinical studies to improve mood and learning capacity in certain types of memory disorders as well as benefiting those with history of traumatic brain injury.\n\ndrjacquelynlew","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_9087-markdown","title":"If I ingest CBD only products will it show up in a urine test at my employment?","slug":"if-i-ingest-cbd-only-products-will-it-show-up-in-a-urine-test-at-my-employment","content":"\n_____________________\nHello! Typical urine drug screens are screening for THC, so in theory, if you medicinally used pure CBD, it should not show up in the testing results. The concern, though, is that many CBD products that are used may contain some THC that could result in a positive test. Even if you use a product that states it is 100% pure CBD, it may still contain small or trace amounts of THC that may be detectible. \n\ndrjacquelynlew","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_9086-markdown","title":"CBD for motor problems in dementia?","slug":"cbd-for-motor-problems-in-dementia","content":"\"I have read this:  (copy paste)\n\n'To treat movement problems (Huntington’s disease, Parkinson’s, dementia): 3 to 5 mg of CBD oil per pounds of body weight daily. I give her about 200 mg of cbd and  it works fantastic for her agitation and anxiety but she walks even less now. Should increase the dose? any sugestion?\"\n_____________________\nYou do not say where that quote comes from and I want to be clear that there is no medical literature defining CBD doses for ANYTHING.  CBD is remarkably benign in the human body and there are essentially no reports of toxicity, but at the same time there is no body of clinical studies defining a dosage range for any condition.  Most reports of using CBD for various conditions are basically anecdotal, and the kind of dose-response information you are seeking is still folk medicine, not based on medical science.  It is also not clear to me what other factors might be affecting you mother's ambulation, so the best I can suggest is that increasing the CBD dose is unlikely to cause any adverse effects and if the lack of walking is from CBD related sedation her response will likely be to walk less.  If it helps, then I would not be concerned about a modest increase in dose unless other symptoms appear. \n\ndrelkind","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_9085-markdown","title":"Schizoaffective disorder: What is the best form of CBD? and dosage?","slug":"schizoaffective-disorder-what-is-the-best-form-of-cbd-and-dosage","content":"\"Dosage?\"\n_____________________\nSchizoaffective disorder= higher level of psychosis (delusion, paranoia, hallucinations) to mood disorder (usually bipolar type, what was called manic-depressive). CBD is remarkably non-toxic and there are essentially no reports of CBD toxicity in the medical literature.  At the same time, any suggestions of dosages are just that, suggestions, as there is no body of clinical studies to refer to in making a recommendation.   I'm assuming the patient is currently also on antipsychotic medication, and it would be important to discuss this with the treating physician before adding or removing anything from the treatment plan.\n\ndrelkind","image":null}}]}},"pageContext":{"limit":12,"skip":156,"numPages":66,"currentPage":14,"id":5084,"name":"CBD","slug":"cbd","country":"US"}},"staticQueryHashes":["3949754563","4179947113","4202924991"]}
