I started with a single drop per day. The second day at the middle of a migraine crisis, I took a drop and the intensity of the migraine doubled. The pain left me, after 33 hours and after I had taken three times the usual painkillers (relpax 40 mg and at the same time depon 1000 mg) I use. \nThe doctor that advises me told me that this was a random incident and advised me to start again altering the dosage to 3 drops (1+1+1) cannabis oil 10% in CBD. After 5 days of treatment, at the middle of a migraine crisis, when I took the drop of oil and within an hour the pain reached the sky. I do not ever remember myself having such an intense migraine. \nI did not know where I was and could not communicate. I was hospitalized. Pain stopped after 24 hours.\nI suspect the dosage is already too high for me. \nPlease let me know your opinion. I believe cannabis can help me. Am I wrong? \nThank you in advance. \nDora\"\n_____________________\nHi Dora, \nTo your question as to whether cannabis can help with migraines: Yes, I think it can. The thing is that every person's biochemistry is unique, so what may work for one person, will not necessarily work for you. The general advice is that you'll need to experiment with dosing, delivery method, strains and so on. \n\n\nlyp","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_8574-markdown","title":"Question about CBD dosage?","slug":"question-about-cbd-dosage","content":"\"I am wondering what is the regular percentage of CBD's per ml is. I make tinctures which are 7.4 mg/ml CBD. What would a normal dose of this be? (approximately)\"\n_____________________\nAll cannabis and the dosages for cannabis use varies per individual, there is no one-size-fits-all. You ask what is the standard dosage for CBD's in a tincture and as far as I know there is no standard dosage. This CBD I take contains 28 mg per 1cc with only 1 mg of THC per cc. I personally take that concentration because I sleep well with that dosage and I have had a history of cancer. I do think that the higher CBD dosage allows one to adjust how much CBD they're getting by doing a larger or smaller amount of tincture and this seems much easier than a low-dose CBD that you have to take large volumes to reach an effective amount of CBD. \nCBD is what makes you well but the THC is like icing on a cake, We all love our cake with icing because it more it it makes it more interesting and fun but the CBD's seem to be what gets you well so keep doing your CBD's. Keep in mind that a ratio of CBD: THC equivalent to 8: 1 is like ibuprofen.\n\ndrolson","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_8571-markdown","title":"Does cannabis from a topical show up on a drug test?","slug":"does-cannabis-from-a-topical-show-up-on-a-drug-test","content":"\"Does it matter if it is CBD and/or THC?\"\n_____________________\nCheck out this article, which states: \"Although rubbing a cannabis-infused topical on your skin will not get you high or cause you to fail a drug test, there are some stipulations to consider.\" Hope it helps!\n\nlyp","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_8570-markdown","title":"Canna Tsu - CBD","slug":"canna-tsu-cbd","content":"\"This seems to be a hard to find strain. Thanks in anticipation of your reply.\"\n_____________________\nHello. CBD is a potent inhibitor of CYP3A4. CYP3A4 metabolizes about a quarter of all drugs, therefore CBD may increase serum concentrations of some statins (atorvastatin and simvastatin, but not pravastatin or rosuvastatin). In addition, an acute and severe cardiovascular illness is a relative contraindication for medical marijuana, however, studies show that administering CBD shortly after a stroke protects neurons and astrocytes from damage, and leads to improved functional and neurobehavior recovery. Administering CBD shortly following an ischemic event caused about a 50% increase in the recovery of electrical activity in the brain and reduced infarct volume and improved brain functional outcome. Although it is relatively safe, please collaborate with your primary care physician in regards to your CBD consumption as an extra saftey precaution. \n\n\nhttp://www.nature.com/pr/journal/v64/n6/full/pr2008260a.html\nhttps://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4348386/\n\n\ntatiananp","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_8561-markdown","title":"Looking for cannabis (not just CBDs) that induces sleep, but NOT anxiety","slug":"looking-for-cannabis-not-just-cbds-that-induces-sleep-but-not-anxiety","content":"\"I am suffering from severe insomnia and looking to use cannabis to sleep, and taper off the pharmas. Thank you!\"\n_____________________\nHi, I tried the cbd’s for chronic insomnia, had to go to something stronger, I found you need to stay away from sativa strains, some hybrids ( which has is a crossbreed; the sativas and some hybrids can cause anxiety)but use any indica strain to help with sleep. Research some of the different types within the indica strains and you’ll be able to see if one makes you sleepy or relaxed, there’s a huge field to choose from, educate yourself\nabout the different types and that way someone doesn’t sell you something you don’t need! \n\nlbmenehune83\n_____________________\nSomething to remember is that there is a difference in being able to go to sleep and to stay asleep. They each can use different types of cannnabis. For difficulties going to sleep a tincture or a vape pen will have a faster affect and allow you to fall asleep. If you have no issue falling asleep but then wake up several hours later, then an edible may be the way to go. This is because an edible can take 1-2 hours to kick in and will last several hours. The effect also depends on what you have eaten for dinner and how long you take it before going to bed.\nI also suggest keeping a sleep journal where you keep track of what you ate (briefly), what type of cannabis you used, how you slept and what you felt like in the morning. You can titrate what you used to the effect that you want.\n\nPerry Solomon, MD\n_____________________\nMy favorite \"sleepy time\" strains include Bubba Kush, Zensation, Grape Ape and 9 LB Hammer. ","slug":"how-much-cbd-and-thc-is-good-to-help-heal-breast-cancer","content":"\n_____________________\nIf by \"heal\" you mean \"cure\" breast cancer, the answer in none. Cannabis has never been shown to cure cancer in humans. It has been shown to kill some type of cancer cells in a laboratory. There have been stories by many people saying that they have been \"cured\" of various types of cancers using some type of cannabis oil or product. What cannabis has been shown to do is help with nausea from chemotherapy treatements and well as increasing appetite. That being said, there is most likely no harm in using cannabis along with whatever treatment your physician recommends. I would suggest telling then that you are using it as well.\n\nPerry Solomon, MD\n_____________________\nAlthough there are no large, controlled, scientific studies to show that cannabis heals cancer (and I doubt there ever will be), many people claimed to been healed using cannabis. Most likely, they also did other things like correct their diet, supplements, maybe ozone therapy, etc. Research \"Rick Simptom Oil\", it's a potent cannabis oil, and doses that people state have healed their cancer is explained on various sites, such as this: http://phoenixtears.ca/dosage-information/ The instructions can be confusing, such as comparing doses to the size of a grain of short rice, but this is what I would use if I had cancer. My dog has cancer right now, so I've been researching all of this. \n\ncheryldell\n_____________________\nThe HelloMD answer, from Dr. Solomon, is meant to legally protect the website from Federal authorities.
