I've moved back to Ohio temporarily to get surgery and heal from automobile accident I was in back in February. Thankfully they've just passed medical marijuana here I believe just last month, however, it will take a month or so for it to go into effect. I was purchasing and taking the Kushy Punch chews which contained 60mg of CBD. I have to say - it showed incredible results for my anxiety and mild-depression without the psychoactive effects - EXACTLY what I need/wanted. It would help even greater now given the medical condition from the car accident I am in. \n\nProblem being is I'm pretty sure this was CBD from Cannabis, not Hemp. As hemp has extreme health benefits, from everything that I've read and the research I've done, it's significantly different than the cannabis strains. You really have to be careful when ordering CBD online because its easy to purchase something that is false and may or may not even be CBD. \n\nSince CBD is legal in all 50 states and I'm unfortunately not in SoCal at the moment, I'm looking to see if anyone can recommend a HIGH CBD vape or edible that may be the equivalent to what I was taking in LA that you can order online, has the same benefits (or greater) and is WORTH the purchase. I realize there are a lot of scam companies and I've come here to seek any fellow humans who also take CBD and who may have recommendations online. \n\nlove and light~\n\n\"\n_____________________\nGreat question and depending on who you ask and who you are as a person, the answer could vary wildly. Personally, I have not found that CBD products from hemp have nearly the benefit or effect as CBD from cannabis. I am always on the lookout for high CBD/low THC products as I feel the same effects that you mentioned and I think the combination of cannabinoids, which create the 'entourage effect', are what is responsible for a better outcome.\n\nIt is also true you need to be careful as to what you purchase not just because the quantity of high grade CBD can vary wildly but also because hemp is often unregulated, especially if your hemp product comes from China.\n\nThat said, the brand Evoxe, carries a high CBD pen that is from hemp. They also have a new CBD pen with THC which is great. You can find their business listing on our site:\n\nhttps://www.hellomd.com/biz/evoxe-laboratories\n\nYou may also try Auntie Dolores as I believe they just released a new high CBD brownie which is derived from hemp. I am not entirely sure, but I believe it to be so.\n\nhttps://www.hellomd.com/biz/auntie-dolores\n\nI am not a doctor and this represents only my opinion. It is always important to read the label as some manufacturers get the standard wrong. The standard is that it is CBD followed by THC. So this is a very high CBD product at 25 parts of CBD to 1 part THC. Most often the CBD in a high ratio is 20:1. It is also important to look at what the milligrams are so you know how much you are ingesting beyond just the ratio.\n\nHope this helps!\n\npamelahadfield","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_11355-markdown","title":"Can I get a medical card in a state that THC is not legally available? Is obtaining a card possible without an address in a state that has this available?\"\n_____________________\nThis is a great question. This is highly dependent on the state and the laws in each state. Unfortunately, the laws are so different state by state that there is now way to know unless you look up the government regulations for that state. I would also do a back up check in with a dispensary within that state to make sure you do not go through the trouble and find no one will actually sell product to you.\n\nYou may not legally transport MM over state lines, this is illegal in every state.\n\nIn California, you can obtain a medical card as an out of state peron if you have the consultation with the doctor within state lines. That said, some dispensaries will still not serve you without a license. The dispensaries do not always follow the state laws, they often follow what they believe to be the state laws.\n\nI hope this helps!\n\npamelahadfield","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_11351-markdown","title":"How is this extracted from hemp?","slug":"how-is-this-extracted-from-hemp","content":"\"What extraction process/method is used to extract the CBD from hemp? \n\nGlad to see you only use medicinal grade hemp, however, it's still against federal law (see: Controlled Substances Act 21 USC § 802(16)) to extract anything from the flowers of the hemp plant. Which is what leads me to wonder where all of these products which contain hemp-derived CBD actually obtain said CBD, seeing as the cannabinoid CBD is produced solely within the resinous glands on the flowers of the plant, leaving behind merely traces, if anything, upon the legally-usable parts of the plant.\n\nBeyond that, I have to ask, why use hemp? There's plenty of high-CBD, low-THC strains of cannabis available with a much richer, more diverse profile of cannabinoids. I would think it would take pounds and pounds of hemp stalks and seeds just to get an ounce of CBD oil, and then who knows what else you're getting. (Let's not forget hemp is a bio-accumulator)\n\nOf course, I know the answer to that last one, asking \"why hemp?\" is because it's legal and you can then ship it to other states, make more money, etc.\"\n_____________________\nThanks for your question and yes, there is a lot of confusion around hemp vs. cannabis.\n\nThe hemp we are using is from Colorado, and is actually a strain of cannabis that is a cross between Harlequin and AC/DC, with further refinement to remove the THC. It has been classified as hemp due to its very low THC content, which is below the .3% allowed for interstate shipments. \n\nThe extraction method used is a CO2 extraction process. It is not comparable to hemp extraction which does use enormous amounts of seed and stalk to extract. It is the full plant extract and contains all the rich terpenes and cannabinoids one would like to provide for their pets.\n\nFurthermore, this unique hemp is registered as medicinal grade hemp because it is specifically grown for medicine and is not industrial in nature. It is tested for and free of heavy metals and bio-contaminants.\n\nWe do not use cannabis strains higher in THC for two reasons: they contain above the .3% legal for interstate activity and we have dogs all over the US using this product who we would not be able to care for if we used cannabis strains higher in THC. Additionally, it is not advised to give dogs more THC than this amount due to the abundant receptors in their brains, their heightened sensitivity, and their propensity for experiencing static ataxia due to toxic levels of THC.\n\njuliannacarella","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_11349-markdown","title":"What is a suggested brand for a good sub lingual CBD spray?","slug":"what-is-a-suggested-brand-for-a-good-sub-lingual-cbd-spray","content":"\n_____________________\nBhang makes a great tasting CBD mint spray...we will have it on the menu soon at www.cannabizon.com !\n\ndeniseb\n_____________________\nDefinitely like the Bhang spray! Could it be that I have more cannabanoids or my CB1 and CB2 receptors work more or less than other people's? Is it related to anandamide? \"\n_____________________\nHello! \r\n\r\nThis is a great question and its a topic that we are becoming more educated on as cannabis professionals. I have to first say that I am not a doctor but I am a cannabis user and operate a delivery service and that does it's best to stay read on new research on the nuances of cannabis effects. \r\n\r\nI have a couple follow up questions for you:\r\n\r\n1. I understand that smoking has not been a positive experience, are there other ways of consumption that has yielded positive effects? \r\n\r\n2. If the answer is yes, what are they? (Edible, tincture, topical... )\r\n\r\nHere are a few things I have found about the range of effects of cannabis as well as a few tips I give our members in choosing their medicine and method of use that might help and add some perspective:\r\n\r\n-Research is finding that while THC and CBD are some the most widely known cannabinoids, CBN is also an active cannabinoid that contributes to sleepiness.\r\n\r\n-Terpenes - Essential oils produced in all plants, and is what provides the aromatic experience is one of the greatest variable in the effects that strain.\r\n\r\nThe best thing that I have found for myself as a cannabis user is to listen to my body. Some people do not like the smoking experience, the direct hit of THC to the blood stream from the lungs can be shocking to some peoples systems. Other people don't need to consume it at all and there body responds better to topical. \r\n\r\nHope this helps some, there is still more research that needs to be done.\n\nninaparks\n_____________________\nHave you ever smoked a high CBD flower before? My brother is so sensitive to THC that he can only tolerate smoking high CBD low thx flower so that the CBD helps take the edge off of the thc. I'm not sure if there is a biological reason behind his intolerance or if he's just too nervous about it. Cannabis seems to amplify what we already feel. I've noticed that nervous smokers generally stay nervous, while people that are comfortable with their environment and cannabis in general are more inclined to have more favorable effects.\n\ncannabear","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_11341-markdown","title":"I suffer from extreme insomnia and schizoaffective dissorder, what CBD products are good for these conditions ","slug":"i-suffer-from-extreme-insomnia-and-schizoaffective-dissorder-what-cbd-products-are-good-for-these-conditions","content":"\"strengths do I go for, right now I live in a state that cannabis is illegal, I have been using some very strong flower, but this gets very expensive driving back and forth to a state that I can buy. The super high CBD/low THC is legal in all 50 states so you could acquire the high CBD cannabis as long as it is super low in THC and classified as hemp since this formulation would likely give you relief from your symptoms. You will need to take the high CBD cannabis for about 3 weeks before you can feel the benefits although the cannabis will be working for you. \nIn the meantime, consider having your genetic chart done since you may have a neurotransmitter problem that predisposes you to have the symptoms you are having. \nConsider reading Dr Amy Yasko's book, 'Feel Good', available on Amazon for $15.\nWhen you are feeling better and more stable, join the people in your state fighting for legal cannabis or consider moving to a legal state because it may be a while before cannabis is legal in all 50 states.\n\ndrolson","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_11330-markdown","title":"Why does THC or CBD cause me to lose my desire for alcohol?","slug":"why-does-thc-or-cbd-cause-me-to-lose-my-desire-for-alcohol","content":"\"I had been consuming alcohol on a daily basis until I started to micro dose with CBD tincture. I started at 6 drops and worked up to around 15 drops. I am a real lightweight. After using the drops for about a week I began to have really bad dreams. I started going back to just 4 or 5 drops. Still get the bad dreams. Do you have any ideas on how to bypass these bad dreams? \n\nAny suggestions on other products I could try?\"\n_____________________\nI have heard that once stopping THC use some people experience lucid dreams. To a certain extent, I have experienced it myself. Not necessarily bad dreams, bu very realistic. Something about THC makes me sleep in a way that makes me either not dream, or forget dreaming. So my advice would be to try something with a little THC in it and see if that will suppress your dreams. It does for me.\n\ncannabear\n_____________________\nYes, it can! To many, this is a surprise as people equate cannabis to a restful sleep and to many it is. The right amount of THC is linked to a shorter REM sleep and a deeper deep sleep cycle. Too much can cause anxiety and paranoia, the right amount induces sleep. \n\nSo what about CBD? CBD on its own has actually been shown to promote wakefulness which could be putting you into a longer and more active REM which is related to dream activity and the actual memory of that REM cycle.\n\nA few possible solutions. One, you could take CBD very early in the day and see if this diminishes your reaction. The other option might be to introduce THC into the equation close to bedtime. Take your drops and try a tincture or sublingual spray that is for sleep. Start very low and slow so you don't make it worse. I do one spray of a sublingual THC sleep spray and this helps me sleep through the night, like a log! Lastly, I find the way I react to different products varies. You may want to try a different brand and see if there is a change in how you react. I have noticed this myself, which is why I suggest this.\n\nEveryone reacts differently. I'm not a doctor, this is only my opinion based on my own knowledge.
