My daily symptoms include (neuropathic) headaches, sleep disturbances, neurocognitive disorders, psychological problems, and more. Cannabis with (higher) THC helps me like no other medicine in the world. However, cannabis acts only for few hours then all symptoms come back. On the Internet, I read that the main difference between THC and CBD is that THC substitutes a function of natural \"receptors\" (works only symptomatically), but CBD restores their function (works currativelly). Unfortunatelly a dose of CBD does not give me any relief. My question is: is it please possible that my symptoms might gradually disappear with long-term therapy only on CBD or do I have to keep combine with THC to feel the effect?\"\n_____________________\nWell, as far as I've experience the CBD product, it gave me really good relief from my symptoms.\nI would like to say that if you want relief permenantly, you should wait and watch. CBD may give you temperory effect on your symptoms, but it will surely cure your diesease.\nTalking about THC, I really suggest you not to take the CBD product which include THC. Because THC simply makes you high and is illigel as well.\nYou can take any CBD product which contains less than 0.3% THC.\n\nI suggest you to take Green Roads World's CBD Oil (https://www.greenroadsworld.com/collections/cbd-cannabis-oils) for that.\n\nsebastianwross\n_____________________\nUnfortunately there is no 1 size fits all with cannabis and no 'silver bullet'. Most often symptom relief for any medical condition comes by slowly figuring out what combination of products, cannibinoids and possible ratios work for you. Many people believe that CBD is more effective when used in combination with THC and all the other cannbinoids-CBN, CBG, THCA and so on. This is called the entourage effect. THC can be very minimal and not cause a psychoactive high, especially when in combination with CBD.\n\nIn my experience talking with people, LYME is most often 'cured' by something other than cannabis-alternative treatments, etc. People I have spoken with indicate that cannabis is best for symptom relief for the inflammation, insomnia and pain associated. I am not a doctor but I would caution you if anyone says cannabis is a cure for your medical condition. I like to say it is a tool for potential health and wellness when used appropriately. \n\npamelahadfield","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_8687-markdown","title":"I Have Chronic pain. It would be best to try strains that are higher in CBD. It would be important to consult with a psychiatrist and inform them if you're using cannabis and it is very important to be monitored closely. Chronic pain is defined as any severe debilitating pain that the practitioner determines degrades health and functional capability; where the patient has contraindications, has experienced intolerable side effects, or has experienced failure of one or more previously tried therapeutic options; and where there is documented medical evidence of such pain having lasted three months or more beyond onset, or the practitioner reasonably anticipates such pain to last three months or more beyond onset. Migraines may be a chronic disease for some, which can significantly diminish quality of life. More than 4 million adults experience chronic daily migraine – with at least 15 migraine days per month. Medication overuse is the most common reason why episodic migraine turns chronic. \n\ntatiananp","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_7778-markdown","title":"Do cannabis transdermal patches work for chronic pain of the leg and hip muscle?","slug":"do-cannabis-transdermal-patches-work-for-chronic-pain-of-the-leg-and-hip-muscle","content":"\n_____________________\nYes transdermal patches are great for chronic pain. Topical creams may be better for you since your pain is more localized. I am quoting from an article from our website regarding transdermal patches: \n\"Transdermal patches are medicated adhesive patches designed to be placed on the skin in order to release small amounts of medication into the bloodstream over a longer period of time. Patches should be placed on a venous area of skin for proper absorption and offer a different type of relief than topical creams. “Topical creams can typically be absorbed by the top 1-3 layers of skin and may offer pain relief locally, to say a shoulder or knee,” Graham Sorkin, of Mary’s says. “Transdermal patches differ from topical creams in that the medicine goes thru all 7 epidermal layers of skin and enters directly into bloodstream. Transdermal patches deliver systematic rather than localized relief.”\n\nhttps://www.hellomd.com/health-wellness/cannabis-transdermal-patches-easy-to-use-effective-for-pain\n\nHowever, this mode of administration is not available in all states. We started HelloMD because I suffered from pain, migraines and some other issues. After trying cannabis I found I was relatively pain free. Everyone is different so what works for me, may not work for you. My solution has been a daily regime of high CBD to THC tinctures. I typically ingest a 20:1 tincture a few times a day as well as a 4:1 tincture. CBD is an anti inflammatory and an analgesic among other fantastic properties. Small amounts of THC also help with pain. Vaping a high CBD pen of 1:1, 2:1 or 3:1 also helps. If I can not sleep I micro dose THC in small doses - typically under 5mg. All of these things together have helped me. I am not a doctor and can only say what has worked for me.
