Can I come to your location for consultation and cannabis formula recommendation and purchase? I live in Northern California but will be in Palo Alto the end of next week.\"\n_____________________\nI'm sorry to hear that you are suffering so much. I am not a doctor but I am part of HelloMD and we are so glad you chose our service. At HelloMD we do not offer personalized consultations for product recommendations at the moment, past our initial consult. You have asked your question on the Le Shoppe business listing, which has a location in Palo Alto. However, they are delivery only.\n\nIt sounds as if you need a personalized approach. Two suggestions:\n\nFirst, if you are located in or around Santa Rosa, you can see one of HelloMD's favorite doctors, Dr Sharon Olson. If you look within our Trust Pilot reviews you will see how much patients appreciate her advice. You can also check out all of her answers here to see her approach:\n\nhttps://www.hellomd.com/people/DrOlson\n\nAnother option is to have a consultation with GreenHealth Consulting, which is run by a woman named Eloise Theisen. She consults with individuals to help them find the best approach for their condition. Given your age and your condition finding the right product and dosage is critical! Here is an article I wrote about Eloise:\n\nhttps://www.hellomd.com/health-wellness/medical-cannabis-counseling-helping-dementia-and-cancer-patients-find-relief\n\nThe other option is to go to a dispensary storefront and speak to the staff. If you choose this route, i would go to a dispensary that has a lot of familiarity with medical consumers. The most well known dispensary in all of California is called Harborside. They are located in the East Bay and have a knowledgeable staff.\n\nThis answer represents my opinion and I am not a doctor, but I hope this helps you.\n\npamelahadfield\n_____________________\nI am a physician doing Integrated or Functional medicine and I do offer private services in Northern California since I am based in the Santa Rosa area if you need more personalized care. I do work for HelloMD but our consultation, if you see me locally, will be outside the HelloMD business. I work with a couple other doctors doing consultations for people using cannabis who need additional help with their medicines. The office is listed under Dr Hulter in Santa Rosa at 3806 Sebastopol Ave.\n\ndrolson","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_11317-markdown","title":"looking for help with chronic migraines. Its a miracle worker. If you arent into smoking I'd recommend a High CBD lower THC tincture. A couple drops under the tongue and your relief is on its way. Thats whats worked for me, and my girlfriend who suffers from chronic migraines.\n\ncannabear\n_____________________\nI have suffered from migraines for years and now cannabis helps prevent them and treat them when they happen. I wrote this article for HelloMD last year about the topic:\n\nhttps://www.hellomd.com/health-wellness/migraines-how-i-got-off-pain-meds-and-found-relief-with-cannabis\n\nFor myself I have a daily regime of CBD tincture at a 20:1 ratio 2-3 x a day. I use a high CBD vape pen if I have a migraine and occasional a low dose edible at under 5mg. I also find topicals can help with shoulder and neck pain.\n\nI am not a doctor, this is just my opinion. Is high CBD/low THC best for pain?","slug":"i-have-acute-flare-up-of-a-chronic-jaw-bone-infection-is-high-cbd-low-thc-best-for-pain","content":"\" Does marijuana work as antibiotic? \"\n_____________________\nWith a jaw bone infection sublingual tincture would provide good relief. Each patient responds differently to cannabis. Strains and formulations are quite variable and my suggestion is to try a few different strains and methods of ingestion. Many compounds in cannabis have shown anti-biotic properties.\n\nandrewvanmd\n_____________________\nI agree with Dr Vanderveer, CBD is great for pain but you may want to be certain you have enough Vitamin D3 to help your immune system to function properly and you may want to consult with your budtender/cannabis consultant on CBGA or CBC & CBG since these fractions of cannabis, especially taken raw have antibiotic effect on the body and CBG protects the bone as well as CBC. I always encourage my patents to put heat on the are because localized heat will alert your immune system to, \"come here, and clean up this infection\" and that is why the body will have heat around an infection, it is an internal communication. The body is a fine tuned machine and it must have the nutrients to support doing the right think to get healthy. If you are over 60 years old, your immune system could be low from low pituitary output but you may do interval training to pick up your IGF-1 to support your pituitary to overcome the infection and protect the bone also. Good luck, you can do this!\n\ndrolson\n_____________________\nWhile I do agree with Dr. Olson and Vanderveer's responses, I would also suggest that if you been followed by a physician or dentist who diagnosed your \"chronic jaw bone infection\", that if you have a flare up, it could be caused by lingering bacteria in the bone itself. Sometimes this type of lingering bacteria can cause osteomyelitis in the bone which requires antibiotics, sometimes for several weeks. I would suggest notifying whoever it is that has been following your condition.\n\nPerry Solomon, MD","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_11235-markdown","title":"How many drops for a chronic headache?","slug":"how-many-drops-for-a-chronic-headache","content":"\"Morning - I've had a chronic headache (24/7) for 15 years, finding CBD is VERY encouraging. Rae \"\n_____________________\nSo many different products and formulations are available, and each patient will respond differently, so there is no standard dose. Reserch the product that you are using, what kind of cannabis was used in its production? How was this cannabis extracted? Were pesticides used? My advice would be to start with a small dose a few times a day and observe for results. Have you had your cough evaluated by a doctor? What is the reason for your chronic cough? A Firefly vaporizer, is not known as a device used to eliminate chronic cough, so I would have to say that this seems very unlikely.\n\nmark\n_____________________\nThe Firefly is not considered a device to help reverse symptoms of chronic cough. To alleviate the symptoms, please visit a doctor for proper diagnosis and treatment. Preventing chronic cough from smoking can be as simple as just stopping smoking, staying hydrated, and sanitizing mouthpieces before and after use. If your chronic cough persists, I would vape at lower temperatures or completely refrain from using any forms of smoking, including concentrates or vaping.
