Chronic pain is defined as any severe debilitating pain that the practitioner determines degrades health and functional capability; where the patient has contraindications, has experienced intolerable side effects, or has experienced failure of one or more previously tried therapeutic options; and where there is documented medical evidence of such pain having lasted three months or more beyond onset, or the practitioner reasonably anticipates such pain to last three months or more beyond onset. Migraines may be a chronic disease for some, which can significantly diminish quality of life. More than 4 million adults experience chronic daily migraine – with at least 15 migraine days per month. Medication overuse is the most common reason why episodic migraine turns chronic. \n\ntatiananp","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_7788-markdown","title":"Will a CBD cream help with the pain from hip bursitis? Topical creams may be better for you since your pain is more localized. I am quoting from an article from our website regarding transdermal patches: \n\"Transdermal patches are medicated adhesive patches designed to be placed on the skin in order to release small amounts of medication into the bloodstream over a longer period of time. Patches should be placed on a venous area of skin for proper absorption and offer a different type of relief than topical creams. “Topical creams can typically be absorbed by the top 1-3 layers of skin and may offer pain relief locally, to say a shoulder or knee,” Graham Sorkin, of Mary’s says. “Transdermal patches differ from topical creams in that the medicine goes thru all 7 epidermal layers of skin and enters directly into bloodstream. Transdermal patches deliver systematic rather than localized relief.”\n\nhttps://www.hellomd.com/health-wellness/cannabis-transdermal-patches-easy-to-use-effective-for-pain\n\nHowever, this mode of administration is not available in all states. Please visit your state website to look up what is approved. For NYS specifically, transdermal patches are not approved: https://www.health.ny.gov/regulations/medical_marijuana/faq.htm\n\nrachelnp","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_7756-markdown","title":"I am interested in the Lord Jones high CBD gum drops. We started HelloMD because I suffered from pain, migraines and some other issues. After trying cannabis I found I was relatively pain free. Everyone is different so what works for me, may not work for you. My solution has been a daily regime of high CBD to THC tinctures. I typically ingest a 20:1 tincture a few times a day as well as a 4:1 tincture. CBD is an anti inflammatory and an analgesic among other fantastic properties. Small amounts of THC also help with pain. Vaping a high CBD pen of 1:1, 2:1 or 3:1 also helps. If I can not sleep I micro dose THC in small doses - typically under 5mg. All of these things together have helped me. I am not a doctor and can only say what has worked for me. Some people have had success with a 20:1 but in my opinion a higher THC works well with the CBD. If you try a 1:1 ratio, you might have some psychoactive effects but probably mild, so try taking a number of small doses rather than one large dose.
