What are some of the best dispensaries in the state?*”**\n\nSamantha G.\n______\n\n![Untitled18-min.png](https://hellomd-cms.s3.us-west-2.amazonaws.com/Untitled18_min_cddd7e34ce.png)\n\nThere are plenty of great dispensaries to choose from in Ohio. When choosing a dispensary, you [want to consider](https://www.hellomd.com/articles/choosing-a-cannabis-dispensary-or-delivery-service) which ones have an **appealing atmosphere**, **knowledgeable staff**, and a **wide variety of quality cannabis products**. Some offer discounts and loyalty rewards to help you save money and keep you coming back. I live in Cincinnati and shop at [Sunnyside](https://www.sunnyside.shop/). They always make the check-in process simple, and there isn’t usually a very long wait, unlike some other dispensaries. \n\nI really like that it’s a very comfortable experience to visit the Sunnyside dispensary. They have **discounts for veterans** and sales on flower to make you a loyal customer. In addition, they have my favorite edible, [1:1 Caramelized Chocolate Marshmallow Graham Bar](https://www.sunnyside.shop/product/498880). Sunnyside has locations in Chillicothe, Marion, Newark, and Wintersville.\n\nDana W.\n______\n\n![Untitled21-min.png](https://hellomd-cms.s3.us-west-2.amazonaws.com/Untitled21_min_4c38a723e0.png)\n\nWhen I walk into a dispensary, I want to know that I will get the best cannabis products that meet my expectations. In Jackson, some dispensaries stand out, such as [Buckeye Botanicals](https://www.buckeyebotanicals.com/). It’s an excellent dispensary that focuses on customer service, a welcoming environment, and high-quality products. If it’s your first time visiting, I recommend going in person to discuss with the pharmacist before making your purchase. \n\nOnce you know what product you like, it will be simple and easy to order online and walk in for pickup. They have discounts and daily deals to help you save money on products such as **vapes**, **tinctures**, **flower**, and **edibles**, in the Dayton area [Pure Ohio Wellness](https://www.pureohiowellness.com/rd/). They even have my favorite stain, [Monkey Paste](https://www.pureohiowellness.com/rd/index.php/menus/dayton-oh-menu). Monkey Paste is an excellent strain for calming down after a long workday - keep calm, have some laughs, and enjoy some incredible food with your family or friends.\n\nParker K.\n______\n\n![Untitled20-min.png](https://hellomd-cms.s3.us-west-2.amazonaws.com/Untitled20_min_e01536dd55.png)\n\nThere are about 58 medical dispensaries in Ohio. To purchase marijuana, you must be registered for a [medical card](https://www.hellomd.com/get-started/ohio/). You want to make sure that you have one of the state’s [qualifying conditions](https://www.hellomd.com/articles/the-qualifying-medical-conditions-for-a-medical-marijuana-card-in-ohio). The best dispensary in Columbus, in my opinion, is [Terrasana](https://terrasanacannabisco.com/). Terrasana has an excellent rewards program, and you can earn points per dollar spent as they add up; you can save money towards accessories such as grinders and vaporizers. Since **smoking is not allowed in Ohio**, flower vaporizers are popular among consumers. Find a dispensary that best suits what you are looking for, that carries the products that best suit your needs, and a staff that is always willing to answer your questions and recommend products.\n\nRight now, some of the best strains that are featured at Terrasana are [Designer Rntz](https://terrasanacannabisco.com/menus/columbus-menu/?dtche%5Bproduct%5D=designer-rntz-28749) and [Cake It Easy](https://terrasanacannabisco.com/menus/columbus-menu/?dtche%5Bproduct%5D=cake-it-easy-93912). Designer Runtz is a rare hybrid strain - it has an incredible fruity flavor, and the smell profile is like a big bag of sugar and candy. Terrasana has Cleveland, Fremont, and Springfield locations if you are not in Columbus. \n\nBecause smoking is not allowed in Ohio, vaporizers such as the [Pax 3](https://terrasanacannabisco.com/menus/columbus-menu/?dtche%5Bproduct%5D=pax-3-complete-kit-sage) or [Puffco](https://terrasanacannabisco.com/menus/columbus-menu/?dtche%5Bproduct%5D=puffco-peak-vaporizer) are great devices that are sometimes offered as deals at some of these great dispensaries.\n\n[The Botanist](https://www.shopbotanist.com/locations/canton/hours-and-info/) is another beautiful dispensary within Ohio. **They have their brand of cannabis products** – their gummies are gluten-free and vegan, they come in a variety of delicious flavors. They also create their tinctures, vape cartridges, and grow their flower. They offer monthly deals and specials and have Cleveland, Canton, Akron, and Wickliffe locations.\n\nSome of my favorite [strains](https://www.hellomd.com/articles/the-7-best-medical-marijuana-strains-in-ohio) include [Granddaddy Purple](https://www.hellomd.com/strains/granddaddy-purple). It is a common strain that many people use for sleep. Another personal favorite strain is the [Purple Urkle](https://www.hellomd.com/strains/purple-urkle) – great for cozy body buzz that will get you relaxed for the night.\n\nVanessa D.\n","image":{"childImageSharp":{"fluid":{"base64":"data:image/png;base64,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","aspectRatio":1.1428571428571428,"src":"/static/06d4decc673404d979e6cc5405aa272d/ee604/4618ab4cb7734c68ee7105f21bb65a88.png","srcSet":"/static/06d4decc673404d979e6cc5405aa272d/69585/4618ab4cb7734c68ee7105f21bb65a88.png 200w,\n/static/06d4decc673404d979e6cc5405aa272d/497c6/4618ab4cb7734c68ee7105f21bb65a88.png 400w,\n/static/06d4decc673404d979e6cc5405aa272d/ee604/4618ab4cb7734c68ee7105f21bb65a88.png 800w,\n/static/06d4decc673404d979e6cc5405aa272d/f3583/4618ab4cb7734c68ee7105f21bb65a88.png 1200w,\n/static/06d4decc673404d979e6cc5405aa272d/bfb51/4618ab4cb7734c68ee7105f21bb65a88.png 1250w","srcWebp":"/static/06d4decc673404d979e6cc5405aa272d/58556/4618ab4cb7734c68ee7105f21bb65a88.webp","srcSetWebp":"/static/06d4decc673404d979e6cc5405aa272d/61e93/4618ab4cb7734c68ee7105f21bb65a88.webp 200w,\n/static/06d4decc673404d979e6cc5405aa272d/1f5c5/4618ab4cb7734c68ee7105f21bb65a88.webp 400w,\n/static/06d4decc673404d979e6cc5405aa272d/58556/4618ab4cb7734c68ee7105f21bb65a88.webp 800w,\n/static/06d4decc673404d979e6cc5405aa272d/99238/4618ab4cb7734c68ee7105f21bb65a88.webp 1200w,\n/static/06d4decc673404d979e6cc5405aa272d/4d702/4618ab4cb7734c68ee7105f21bb65a88.webp 1250w","sizes":"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px"}}}}},{"node":{"id":"Question_12618-markdown","title":"Best medical marijuana dispensaries in Ohio?","slug":"best-medical-marijuana-dispensaries-in-ohio","content":"***What are the best medical marijuana dispensaries in Ohio?***\n\nSharon W.\n\n-------------------\n![Budtenders help marijuana consumers to select products](https://hellomd-cms.s3.us-west-2.amazonaws.com/Screen_Shot_2022_03_01_at_2_25_11_PM_7eb7be32de.png)\n\nThere are a lot of great dispensaries in Ohio. Terrasana has a robust [rewards program](https://terrasanacannabisco.com/faq/visiting-the-dispensary/terrasana-rewards/). The only legit cannabis in Louisiana is medical marijuana. To buy it, you must have [your medical marijuana certification](https://hellomd.com/get-started). To get your certification requires going to a state-licensed physician for either an in-person visit or Telehealth appointment. If you meet one of the [qualifying conditions on the state's](https://norml.org/laws/medical-laws/louisiana-medical-marijuana-law/) list, you will most likely be approved for certification. After this, the doctor adds you to the state's cannabis registry.\n\nOnce you're registered with the state, the certification is sent to dispensaries. At this point, you choose a dispensary to visit and purchase your marijuana. \n\nAs for the best dispensaries in Louisiana, it really depends on where you live. This also makes sense, since the endocannabinoid system (ECS) is largely devoted to maintaining homeostasis (the tendency of organisms to auto-regulate and maintain their internal environment at equilibrium).\nhttps://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2630898\n\nAs of yet, there are no clinical studies evaluating CBD's or THC's specific effects on thyroid function. However, I would hypothesize that CBD would reduce the body's self-attack on the thyroid/ reduce circulating thyroid antibodies, but would have less, if any, of a direct effect on the manufacturing and secretion of thyroid hormone. CBD has been shown to have profound immunomodulatory properties. However, CBD does not meaningfully interact with the CB1 receptor, and thus, would not directly affect thryroid releasing hormone neurons in the method described in the above 2009 study. \n\n\n\ndrkim\n_____________________\nAs far as dosage goes: In general, I would recommend between 10 and 20 milligrams of CBD twice per day. \nFor Hashimoto's (and most chronic conditions without acute symptoms) I generally recommend an oil or edible over inhalation methods.\n\nhttps://www.hellolift.com/products/5b57b4c702f1740001523089/cured-full-spectrum-raw-oil\ncontains about 0.83mg of CBD/drop: take 12 drops (10mg) to 23 drops (20mg) twice/day.\n\nhttps://www.hellolift.com/products/5b57a71f02f1740001522f78/cbd-hemp-oil-capsules\n1 pill (15mg) twice per day.\n\nPlease consult with your physician before starting any cannabis regimen.
