However I notice my memory seems to be more impaired at times and my levels of motivation...\"\n_____________________\nCbd's should not affect ur memory. Its non psychoactive.    Try the pen.   Always organic seems to work the best for my nerve pain.  I was extremly against smoking and my boyfriend finally talked me into trying the pen.  Now i have 2 and they are always with me.   Wow. I couldnt believe how well the pen works.  Just a few puffs and i can feel the pain going away then i can go about my activities.  It doesnt affect my head at all.   I also use cbd capsules.  U can get them with no thc in them.    The pen for immediate relief and the capsules to help u stay pain free for longer.\n\nsraelane\n_____________________\nDoses will vary a lot based on the individual and the type of CBD medication you are trying to use. I want to follow up and ask what are you taking before I try and help suggest what to do. It will be helpful to know if you are trying tinctures, or flowers, or pills etc. and what ratios they are. My answer will depend heavily on what medicines you have tried that have left you feeling this way.\n\nI will also say that anxiety is a very motivating emotion that causes people to act on a situation. As your anxiety drops with the CBD, you may feel less on edge and have a less of a drive to immediately react to situations as a result of adjusting to your reduced levels of anxiety.\n\nryan","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_7064-markdown","title":"my dog has epilepsy and I give cbd's which help but I feel if he had a steady dose it might work better?","slug":"my-dog-has-epilepsy-and-i-give-cbds-which-help-but-i-feel-if-he-had-a-steady-dose-it-might-work-better","content":"\n_____________________\nA CBD:THC ratio of >20:1 tincture given twice a day would give your dog full efficacy after 2-3 weeks into treatment.  Of course, you would continue to give the tincture twice daily, but may have to titrate the number of drops up after each 3 week period if you find break through seizures are occurring.  Just a reminder...to treat seizures you must cross the blood-brain-barrier which entails you using a ratio of >20:1.\n\ndrb","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_7054-markdown","title":"Stage 4 prostrate cancer survivor","slug":"stage-4-prostrate-cancer-survivor","content":"\"As a cancer survivor, I would like to know the dose and frequency of THC for a maintenance program. As a foot note I was taking 1/2 gram twice daily for sixty days, after thirty three days had a PSA drop from 96 to 2.9 after the sixty days had  clear PET scan.\"\n_____________________\nCongratulations! \nKeep in mind cancer is a sneaky disease and I think you want to stay on treatment, as long as you're not having negative side effects, for at least six months before you consider reducing your dose. Cancer can mutate and adapt for its own survival and you would not want to lower your dose and allow any cancer cells to adapt to the presence of the THC because then the THC could become ineffective should you need to use it again in the future. The cancer may have been driven into remission within 60 days but that does not necessarily mean you have been cured so I would advise you to stay vigilant. The PET scan is only a scan of the cancer activity in the area being scanned. My suggestion of 6 months for your cannabis use is just a suggestion and you should do what feels right for you since there are no human clinical trials to investigate this issue with cancer treatment using cannabis.\n\ndrolson","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_7048-markdown","title":"what opening dose of CBD oil should be given to treat schizophrenia?","slug":"what-opening-dose-of-cbd-oil-should-be-given-to-treat-schizophrenia","content":"\n_____________________\nI would try a whole plant extract of CBD rich cannabis in tincture form. On paper the HMBLDT pen seems great, but my Mother has limited lung capacity (she has had trouble drawing vapor from other pens) and $100 is an expensive proposition on a product that may, or may not, work.  Can anyone give me any assurance that the HMBLT pen might be worthwhile for her to try? \"\n_____________________\nI would recommend the hmbldt pen for your mother. I have one on my desk. Compared to other vape pens, the hmbldt pen is extremely easy to drag on. Also, it has very precise dosage with the little vibrating feature, and so this is good for elderly people that want to be aware of how much they are consuming. \n\nAlthough at $100 per pen, it seems like a lot, when you consider that each pen has 200 doses, that works out to 50c per dose, which is really very affordable.\n\nmark","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_6978-markdown","title":"What if the pen does not vibrate or stop?","slug":"what-if-the-pen-does-not-vibrate-or-stop","content":"\"Sometimes when I take a dose, it does not always vibrate. Constructed using medical grade components and a specially designed microprocessor, a patient using the dose pen simply inhales from the end of the dose pen containing the window and the vaporization process is activated.  After three seconds, a slight vibration indicates that the dose is complete.  By carefully limiting the time of vaporization, controlling the temperature ramp of the vaporization coil, metering the airflow from inhalation and maintaining a consistent flow of our need state formulated oil to the vaporization element the device is able to deliver a repeatable dose to the patient on each activation.  After 200 complete doses, the dose pen can then be recycled at one of our dispensary or delivery service partners to receive a $5 discount on their next hmbldt dose pen purchase.\n\njeremygreen","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_6899-markdown","title":"Are Terpenes inactivated when chewed and swallowed? And what is a safe dose in an edible?","slug":"are-terpenes-inactivated-when-chewed-and-swallowed-and-what-is-a-safe-dose-in-an-edible","content":"\n_____________________\nThe terpenes found in cannabis are widely found in the plant world. So, chewing them and swallowing them don't inactivate them per se. Whether they are absorbed into your system is another question. You would have to drink concentrated form of terpenes before any safety concerns arose, so don't do that ; )\nMost, if not all, of the major terpenes found in cannabis are consumed by people everyday in the fruits and vegetables they eat. Most edibles use extracted THC or CBD so you aren't getting the whole plant extract with its spectrum of cannabinoids and terpenes in a typical edible. If you send me an email at info@calstatecaregivers.com I can send you a list of the major terpenes, what their medicinal effects are, and what other foods they are found in. Aromatheraphy is the most effective way to dose with terpenes and have been shown to have great medicinal benefits when absorbed through the nostrils.\n\ndneice","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_6848-markdown","title":"If I am dosing CBD for nerve pain (sciatic nerve) how often do I need to dose?","slug":"if-i-am-dosing-cbd-for-nerve-pain-sciatic-nerve-how-often-do-i-need-to-dose","content":"\"Is there a half life? Most patients find medications with equal parts CBD to THC (1:1) to be most effective for pain relief. If you are comfortable with that level of more minimal psychoactivity, a lower dose 2-3x/day seems ideal for most patients seeking chronic pain management.\n\njessicapeters\n_____________________\nThere are many formulations of CBD rich cannabis. I would suggest a whole plant CDB rich tincture with some portion of THC. All of the cannabinoids and other compounds work together to provide a synergysic effect. If you are inhaling, you may want to dose every few hours, tinctures should used around every 5 hours and edibles maybe two or three times a day. Topicals can be applied many times per day. Suppositories can be used a few times a day as well.\n\nandrewvanmd","image":null}}]}},"pageContext":{"limit":12,"skip":96,"numPages":15,"currentPage":9,"id":5206,"name":"Dosage","slug":"dosage","country":"US"}},"staticQueryHashes":["3949754563","4179947113","4202924991"]}
