The worst symptom of all these, combined, is chronic insomnia.  I typically don't fall asleep until 2:30-4:30am, sometimes I don't fall asleep at all and will watch the sunrise. This is after taking multiple types of meds (antihistamine, melatonin, benzos, etc) at about 10:30 at night. I don't drink alcohol or caffeine, nor do I nap during the day, in the hopes that I am able to actually sleep at bedtime.  Nothing works and I'm very concerned about the amount of medication that I'm taking.\n\nI haven't been anywhere near any type of cannabis for almost 30yrs, so I have no clue where to start.  \n\nMy first question is; I live in AZ.  If I am able to obtain an ID card here, am I able to consult and purchase from you?\"\n_____________________\nWe do not sell any cannabis products but we do keep you informed about cannabis products especially from our cannabis partners and you will see those advertised on our website.\nIn order to purchase products from California, you must be in California because I don't think any cannabis company will ship across state lines. To obtain a California recommendation you must be physically present in California at the time of your interview.\nIn order to answer your question regarding your chronic insomnia, you would have to pose the question as a new one since I can only answer once for your current question.\nI would like to know what treatment plan you're using currently that isn't working. Are you doing Sativa followed by Indica? If so, you're just bumping your THC up over and over again and stimulating your brain. When you are doing Sativa and you want to go to sleep, add a healthy dose of CBD and it will combine with a high THC in the Sativa to make an Indica. If you go to sleep and can't stay asleep then you may need CBN. If you have a stressful day I doing courage that you use CBD through the day to help with your sleep at night.\nIf you need additional information, please send it in another question or you can wait and see if I other doctors and answers this question you have posed.\n\ndrolson","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_7241-markdown","title":"What type of cannabis is recommended for fibromyalgia?","slug":"what-type-of-cannabis-is-recommended-for-fibromyalgia","content":"\n_____________________\nHello there! My name is Dr. Park, and I've had some training in pain management so allow me to help you out.  How long have you had the fibromyalgia?  Are you getting treatment relief and if so, what class of medications have you tried?  Fibromyalgia is a very complex issue but the latest research seems to indicate a three prong attack:  1) Something must be done to provide analgesia/pain relief.  The standard of care is a medication called Lyrica but of course, cannabis can be helpful (the literature I've seen suggested that items higher on the THC end) might be good.  2)  Patients need to have a mild daily exercise routine (water aerobics are popular but so is tai-chi)   3) All the literature really points to the need for behavioural training (CBT/DBT/gestalt therapy) or talk therapy.  If you have further questions, please come over and we'd love to help you more!\n\ndrpark\n_____________________\nHI, I had Fibromyalgia since 2006. I have been on every drug recommended by my Doctor and also some natural medications, it helps for a few but now nothing helps, is so hard for to rest and sleep, the pain on my lower back, hips and shoulders is out of control my doctor keeps increasing the dose on all my medicine Gabapentin 300mg 3/day, Cymbalta 60mg 2/day, tramadol 50mg, 2 - 3 times a day, trazodone 50mg 1.5 bed time, Celebrex 2/day. Honestly I'm so tired of all this medicine that is not helping any more. \n\nbetoven","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_7181-markdown","title":"The Right Cartridge For Fibromyalgia ","slug":"the-right-cartridge-for-fibromyalgia","content":"\"I just looked at the strains that are good for Fibromyalgia, I have been using a vape and the names for the cartridges are different. maybe I'm just confused, new at this, the dispensary that I went to was not very helpful and did not seem to know much about the cartridges. Please look for a high CBD oil, AC/DC, Harlequin in Cannatonic are three of the more popular high CBD oils to vaporize to get you out of pain almost immediately. At the same time you may start oral CBD's since they do take about a month to become fully effective but they are working to get rid of the inflammatory cells.\nThe real healing in cases like fibromyalgia is to recognize that this problem is most likely due to vitamin D deficiency so to fully resolve the problem the vitamin D deficiency must be addressed. Ideally the blood level for vitamin D to overcome chronic pain would be above 55ng/ml, but do not take your vitamin D on the daily you're having your blood tested or could appear erroneously high.\n\ndrolson","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_7170-markdown","title":"Fibromyalgia, chronic pain and GERD.","slug":"fibromyalgia-chronic-pain-and-gerd","content":"\"First time on the webpage and its time for me to get some product. We have received overwhelming support for the new Kiva CBD products, and you're certainly not the first to ask about a CBD terra! While we currently are working on some new, innovative micro dose THC products, we are always aiming to provide what our patients are looking for! In the mean time, I would suggest picking up one of our 1:1 CBD/THC bars. For lower dosing, we have a 60MG dark chocolate espresso bar that has 60MG of THC as well as 60MG of whole plant, cannabis derived CBD. The full size bar comes with 4, 15MG squares. How many terra bites are you taking? An easy way to break down the CBD bar to match your Terra consumption; each square is 3, 5MG servings. The flavor is similar to our terra bite espresso beans, but is smooth, rich dark chocolate. We also have a 120/120MG dark chocolate ginger bar available as well! Is obtaining a card possible without an address in a state that has this available?\"\n_____________________\nThis is a great question. This is highly dependent on the state and the laws in each state. Unfortunately, the laws are so different state by state that there is now way to know unless you look up the government regulations for that state. I would also do a back up check in with a dispensary within that state to make sure you do not go through the trouble and find no one will actually sell product to you.\n\nYou may not legally transport MM over state lines, this is illegal in every state.\n\nIn California, you can obtain a medical card as an out of state peron if you have the consultation with the doctor within state lines. That said, some dispensaries will still not serve you without a license. The dispensaries do not always follow the state laws, they often follow what they believe to be the state laws.\n\nI hope this helps!\n\npamelahadfield","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_11280-markdown","title":"What is the best cannabis for fibromyalgia?","slug":"what-is-the-best-cannabis-for-fibromyalgia","content":"\n_____________________\nWe actually just wrote an article on the effectiveness of cannabis for those who siffer with auto immune disorders such as fibromyalgia:\nhttps://www.hellomd.com/health-wellness/can-cannabis-help-autoimmune-disease-sufferers\n\nIn a recent study by the National Pain Foundation 30% of patients reported using cannabis for pain, which is not surprising given that traditional pharma drugs often mask pain but often have numerous negative side effects including addiction.\n\nIn terms of what is best for fibromyalgia, I can speak from my own personal experience but everyone is very different with cannabis, and it is most often a trial and error experiment. What I can say is that many people, including myself swear that cannabis helps combat fibromyalgia.\n\nMy personal suggestion is to try a high CBD product during the day such as a tincture or high CBD vape pen. CBD is an anti inflammatory and for me this really seems to work. If pain is consistent, then a higher potency edible at night can help you sleep through the night. I always start at 5mg THC and then go up from there.\n\nI have also found that diet has had a profound effect on fibromyalgia. I took out soy and gluten and the pain diminished. I also practice yoga regularly and take Vitamin B and Magnesium regularly.\n\nHope this helps!\n\npamelahadfield","image":null}}]}},"pageContext":{"limit":12,"skip":24,"numPages":4,"currentPage":3,"id":5252,"name":"Fibromyalgia","slug":"fibromyalgia","country":"US"}},"staticQueryHashes":["3949754563","4179947113","4202924991"]}
