The benefit of having a medical cannabis recommendation is that it allows you to shop at medical dispensaries. Right now, a lot of cities/counties are not yet ready to go with recreational dispensaries, and so many dispensaries are still operating as medical dispensaries. To shop at these they still require a medical cannabis recommendation.\r\n\r\nIn addition, if you are interested in applying for your state issued MMIC to receive a tax break on your cannabis, you need to have a recommendation to apply for one. To do this, you need to take the recommendation you have, and apply with your local county.\r\n\r\nWe wrote an article not too long ago on this topic. Although there are anecdotal cases of having tinnitus patients being successfully treated with cannabis products for symptom relief, the following prospective randomized control trial using a rodent model shows cannabis increasing, not decreasing the incidence of tinnitus :   https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4364172/  However, if you still would like to explore cannabinoids as possible agents in dealing with tinnitus, I might recommend trying products with some of the lesser known/lesser \"tested\" compounds (i.e. CBN, THCA, etc).  According to the literature, lessening the amount of caffeine, alcohol, and/or tobacco may be helpful. The literature also mentions Vitamin A &  Niacin also potentially helping with tinnitus. Good luck and please let us know how things progress in the future. \n\ndrpark","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_9158-markdown","title":"Hi There, ","slug":"hi-there","content":"\"Ive been looking online for a store in Oregon which has a high THC content. One that I found with 75% THC and 7.5% CBD is in a vaporiser. Is that suitable to use for medical purposes either orally or as a suppository? I assume the liquid has other contents but not sure what. This is for cancer treatment and I’m not able to get it medically. I’ve found a pure high dose CBD oil but can’t find the same for high dose THC, similar to Rick Simpson Oil. I need to order it from Oregon and have it delivered also but it’s been a bit hard finding the best place. It has no specific predictable effect on blood sugar (except for increasing appetite which may lead to a rise in blood sugar from eating), and there is no clinical science I'm aware of showing diabetes occurs less often in cannabis users.  Nevertheless, cannabis has been reported as helpful for patients experiencing diabetes complications like peripheral neuropathy, and may have some other specific benefits for patients with diabetes.  Remember too that most chronic conditions do better when the emotional and mental side of life feel easier and cannabis can be helpful in moderating mood, reducing anxiety, and improving sleep.\n\ndrelkind","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_9130-markdown","title":"Do I have to be a california resident to get a medical card","slug":"do-i-have-to-be-a-california-resident-to-get-a-medical-card","content":"","image":null}}]}},"pageContext":{"limit":12,"skip":48,"numPages":41,"currentPage":5,"id":5495,"name":"Medicinal Cannabis","slug":"medicinal-cannabis","country":"US"}},"staticQueryHashes":["3949754563","4179947113","4202924991"]}
