I get migraines also and I have used cannabis for my migraines with great success.\nTypically you become aware that a migraine is coming because you will start to get neck pain with muscle spasms in your neck as a warning sign, so please, put high CBD topical salve on your neck to start to break the neck spasm. You also want to drink a large glass of water in case you're dehydrated and if it does make you vomit at least it will just be water and it will start to break the migraine. I drink a large mug of black coffee or black tea but careful if you are sensitive to caffeine. Then I will vaporize Jack Herer and my migraine is usually gone in about 15 to 20 minutes. I always reflect on what I have eaten or taken that has free glutamates since Glutamate's are neurologically toxic especially to migraine sufferers.\nConsider visiting www.truthinlabeling.org for more information. \nPlease be aware that once you do use Sativa During the day, you should not follow it with Indica that night because you will just bump the THC back up and you'll have a party in your head all night so please follow Sativa with CBDs. The CBD's will mind with the high THC You already have in your body and it will make a very powerful Indica and you likely will be asleep within an hour and wake up refreshed the next day. As you continue to take high CBD's you will notice that the severity and frequency of your migraines will greatly reduce and you will be able to get rid of the migraine much faster because you have more CBD's in your body.\n\ndrolson","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_8000-markdown","title":"I have never used any type before and I am interested in the creams. Medical marijuana is a great pain reliever, anti-inflammatory and sleep aid. Plus, THC is combined with the CBD which helps soften THC's psychoactive effect and other less desirable effects. \n\ntatiananp","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_7830-markdown","title":"I have a card in Ca for migraines, I also live in NY, can I use this as a recommendation for chronic pain?","slug":"i-have-a-card-in-ca-for-migraines-i-also-live-in-ny-can-i-use-this-as-a-recommendation-for-chronic-pain-1","content":"\n_____________________\nUnfortunately, the answer is no, in accordance with the California Proposition 215, your recommendation authorizes the use of medical marijuana only in the state of California. Chronic pain is defined as any severe debilitating pain that the practitioner determines degrades health and functional capability; where the patient has contraindications, has experienced intolerable side effects, or has experienced failure of one or more previously tried therapeutic options; and where there is documented medical evidence of such pain having lasted three months or more beyond onset, or the practitioner reasonably anticipates such pain to last three months or more beyond onset. Migraines may be a chronic disease for some, which can significantly diminish quality of life. More than 4 million adults experience chronic daily migraine – with at least 15 migraine days per month. Medication overuse is the most common reason why episodic migraine turns chronic. \n\ntatiananp","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_7730-markdown","title":"I have chronic pain, migraines, fibromyalgia, neck, shoulders and carpal tunnel. We started HelloMD because I suffered from pain, migraines and some other issues. After trying cannabis I found I was relatively pain free. Everyone is different so what works for me, may not work for you. My solution has been a daily regime of high CBD to THC tinctures. I typically ingest a 20:1 tincture a few times a day as well as a 4:1 tincture. CBD is an anti inflammatory and an analgesic among other fantastic properties. Small amounts of THC also help with pain. Vaping a high CBD pen of 1:1, 2:1 or 3:1 also helps. If I can not sleep I micro dose THC in small doses - typically under 5mg. All of these things together have helped me. I am not a doctor and can only say what has worked for me. Looking at the current literature for cluster HA treatment, I would say the tincture drops you are using can be used as soon as HA symptoms start. As for dosage, I go by the old adage \"less is more.\"; try using tincture drops and adding them SL (sublingual--> under the tongue) or try adding them to non-caffeinated chamomile tea (it might taste better). Titrate until effect; that is slowly add more tincture drops until you have achieved a blood level where symptoms are managed but don't go over this amount. This \"titration point\" will differ with every individual based on body weight , tolerance/ exposure to cannabinoids, and other factors. I would advise using cann every single day as tolerance/ risk of psych dependency &/or abuse can also happen. You might also want to talk to your MD about oxygen therapy for the home or trying a safe blood pressure medicine also used for cluster HA's called verapamil for prophylaxis.
