My primary doc won't work with me on CBD. Would I be safe in just cutting my 20mg of atorvastatin in half? I have seen a D.O. who will work with me but I would rather not change doctors. Thanks very much!\"\n_____________________\nHello. CBD may increase serum concentrations of some statins (atorvastatin and simvastatin, but not pravastatin or rosuvastatin). It is unfortunate that your primary care physician will not treat you if you are on CBD. However, I would not recommend you cutting your medication in half. It is important to leave that up to your physician as they are trained to interpret and monitor your blood cholesterol levels in conjunction with prescribing the appropriate dosages of medications. I would prefer you change doctors, or find a provider that will monitor your cholesterol while taking CBD. Overall, Cannabis is generally well-tolerated, and serious adverse effects are rare.\n\ntatiananp","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_7803-markdown","title":"I have charlottes web hemp infused oil","slug":"i-have-charlottes-web-hemp-infused-oil","content":"\" I am also taking prozac. After simmering the water, oil and ground cannabis, strain the product and let it sit refrigerated over night. Once hardened, the butter will separate from the water, allowing you to lift the infused butter from the water. Discard the remaining water after removing the hardened butter.\n\ntatiananp","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_7795-markdown","title":"Can you recommend a CBD oil that is extracted without the use of neurotoxic materials?","slug":"can-you-recommend-a-cbd-oil-that-is-extracted-without-the-use-of-neurotoxic-materials","content":"\"Also, what is the recommended dose for a cancer patient?\"\n_____________________\nHello. 'CBD Biocare' and 'CBD Integrity and Trust' are two companies among many, that state that their products are produced using the CO2 extraction process. This is non-hexane and non-butane, the cleanest and purest way to produce Cannabidiol isolate. \n\nFinding the right dose of medical cannabis is a personalized task. Dosing is best achieved when patients have professional guidance. According to the Mayo Clinic \"To increase appetite in people with cancer, 2.5 milligrams of THC has been taken by mouth with or without one milligram of CBD for six weeks. In people with cancer and chronic pain, 5-20 milligrams of delta-9-THC has been taken by mouth daily\".\n\ntatiananp","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_7790-markdown","title":"I recently purchased some cannabis oil, can I make an edible with it?","slug":"i-recently-purchased-some-cannabis-oil-can-i-make-an-edible-with-it","content":"\n_____________________\nYou can, but it depends on the kind of oil you've purchased. Generally, cannabis oil products that are intended for ingesting are safe to use in cooking. Just make sure that your recipe includes a fat or oil such as butter or vegetable oil, and a sweetener to offset the cannabis oil's bitter taste. Cannabis oils that are made for topical applications may not be safe for making edibles, though. That's because these oils may have been extracted using toxic chemicals, or they may contain other ingredients that make them risky for consumption.\n\njeanmckinney","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_7789-markdown","title":"Is mixing cannabis oil with hemp effective?","slug":"is-mixing-cannabis-oil-with-hemp-effective","content":"","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_7772-markdown","title":"Can taking CBD oil help reduce stress?","slug":"can-taking-cbd-oil-help-reduce-stress","content":"\"Will it work better if it has some THC in it? How much should I take to get relief but still be functional during the day?\"\n_____________________\nI take CBD multiple times a day to prevent my migraines. As a side effect I have noticed a marked decrease in anxiety and a more relaxed state of being. This tracks with new research on CBD. CBD comes in many different forms. You can take a tincture, a capsule, edibles or vape for instance. It really depends on what form works best for you. I like sub lingual tincture and vape cartridges. Dosage is personal but as long as you stay at a 4:1 ratio of CBD to THC in say a tincture, and titrate dosing throughout the day, you should not get high and should be fully functional. Try it on a weekend to make sure. I am not a doctor and this represents my experience only. I hope this helps!
