Consider visiting www.truthinlabeling.org for more information.  \nPlease view: www.youtube.com/watch?v=iL4SD5f2toQ\nNow on to cannabis: try Jack Herer, it is a Sativa but tends to be mild and can wipe out a migraine in about 10 minutes with a couple puffs off a vape pen. The other effective medication is ACDC in a vape pen but since it is a high CBD, it must be vaporized at lower temperature so you must have an adjustable vape pen or you destroy the benefits of the CBD. \nI find that taking CBD regularly as a tincture helps me greatly in both frequency and severity of the migraines but avoidance of the triggers is the real way to prevent migraines. \nYou must also stay hydrated and use the cannabis salve, I like the 2:1, CBD: THC, on the back of your neck to stop the muscle spasms so the migraine can resolve.\nThere are some interesting findings that suggests CBD does protect your brain from the chemicals that cause the migraines but of course more studies need to be done.\n\ndrolson","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_9891-markdown","title":"Can you have an allergic reaction to cannabis?","slug":"can-you-have-an-allergic-reaction-to-cannabis","content":"\"I took Bliss pure Cannabis oil last nite 15:1 ratio CBD to THC. It could be related to the cannabis extract itself, which contains thousands of chemicals, or in the chemicals that are used to extract and formulate the liquid itself.  If you have taken other cannabis products in the past without a problem, it could be related more to the other ingredients used to make the medicine.  Definitely check out the list of ingredients, and compare to things you may have taken in the past, but generally it's safest of course to avoid anything that might give you an allergic reaction.\n\ndrbultman","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_9881-markdown","title":"Does Hemp seed oil contain CBD?","slug":"does-hemp-seed-oil-contain-cbd","content":"\n_____________________\nThe overall cannabinoid content in industrial hemp is very low and is not a bountiful source of cannabidiol compared to CBD-rich cannabis (which Project CBD defines as strains that have  a minimum of 4 percent CBD). To get the most therapeutic effect go with high CBD strains of cannabis. Some examples are: AC/DC, Harlequin, Suzy Q and there are many more...\nHere is a good article by Martin Lee from ProjectCBD which talks about hemp vs cannabis.\nhttps://www.projectcbd.org/cannabis-oil-vs-hemp-oil\n\nPiantaTinta","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_9880-markdown","title":"Would you recommend that I ingest cannabis oil rather than smoke cannabis?","slug":"would-you-recommend-that-i-ingest-cannabis-oil-rather-than-smoke-cannabis","content":"\"I'm dealing with cancer.\"\n_____________________\nYes, my personal opinion is that those who take cannabis oil by ingestion have far better results than smoking. Smoking is fine for pain that you want immediate relief, but the oil stays in your system longer. I have some members who are dealing with various cancers, and the ones taking tinctures/oils vs. smoking or vaping are getting much better results!\n\nPiantaTinta\n_____________________\nYour body can only absorb 6-7% of ingested medicine. CBD has been excellent for treating severe pain. However the THC appears to be better for anxiety. The plan was to habituate to the THC by gradually increasing the dose. However despite daily use I still feel very effected i.e. spaced out, depersonalised and lethargic and have not been able to up the dose at all.  Am I extra sensitive to THC? (I take quite a big dose of CBD oil along side it, to try and minimise effects of THC)\"\n_____________________\nThere are alot of people like yourself that hit a plateau with the oil and cannot take a higher dose...I was going to suggest taking a higher dose of CBD, but you said that you already take CBD with it. There is a natural supplement that you can get at a health food store that is called Citicoline, which can help neutralize the uncomfortable effects of the THC oil. Also, there are a few natural foods that can also help counteract the effects, this info is from Dr. Ethan Russo. Cold lemonade, peppercorns, pine nuts and calamus root. They all contain terpenoids that help counteract the unwanted effects...hope this helps!!\n\nPiantaTinta","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_9853-markdown","title":"Can smoking marijuana cause bloating?","slug":"can-smoking-marijuana-cause-bloating","content":"\"Hi, I've had my MM rec for almost 5 years now, and have used it off and on for pain, anxiety, stress, you name it.. but recently, I've experienced SEVERE bloating in my abdomen every time I use it (especially if I smoke it). It's  like my stomach swells up like a balloon and feels like it's gonna pop. I'm feeling the pressure in my chest now too. I usually use the vape pens, and I make my own cannabis infused coconut oil, that I use to make edibles. The swelling is less with those. When, or IF, I try to smoke any flowers, I don't do a lot.. but I wonder why I'm having this reaction to it. Anyone know what could be going on? \n\n\"\n_____________________\nIt sounds as if you are having some of the cannabis smoke entering your stomach, in essence \"swallowing\" the smoke. This may result is some burping as you release it. With the other methods you spoke of, the amount of smoke that enters your stomach may be less. Other then that I cannot think of a reason why that stomach bloating would occur.\n\nPerry Solomon, MD\n_____________________\nI have similar symptoms that you described and there are possibilities -- that do not include \"swallowing smoke\", especially since you said it also happens more mildly with edibles.  Consider that it might be a mild form of Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome.  Its seldom documented medically unless patients present at ER with non-stop vomiting that is oddly only relieved by hot showers. Like you, the only symptoms I have are extreme bloating. If I stop smoking, within about 24-48 hours the bloating subsides and I look and feel as though I lost 30 lbs.\n\nvch881\n_____________________\nI have the same issue as vch881. I have trouble with marijuana and I am trying to reduce consumption. When I smoke daily, I end up with a bloated feeling in my stomach a sort of swolen throat feeling. It is not painful but there is a constant feeling like there's something stuck in my throat and I need to swallow. I also feel the need to drink a lot of water when I am smoking marijuana so that contributed to the bloated stomach. If I stop consuming marijuana for a day or two it all subsides and my stomach and throat feel fine again. This is just a personal anecdote from my experience with marijuana over the years. \n\nRedwhite85","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_9841-markdown","title":"Can anyone recommend the best source for CBN oil (products)?","slug":"can-anyone-recommend-the-best-source-for-cbn-oil-products","content":"\n_____________________\nYou can go to the \"Products\" tab on HelloMD's website and search specifically for CBN by entering it in the search field. Should I be taking it once daily, or throughout the day? Should I take with or without food?\"\n_____________________\nThere's a lot of potential components at play here but the first thing I would suggest is that many patients find their medications more effective when used throughout the day instead of as a single dose. I personally recommend splitting your dose into 3 portions  - am, afternoon, and pm - so that you are consistently metabolizing the medications. If your approach to dosing is 3x/day, as opposed to more acute need single or \"one off\" dosing, then you could take your CBD oil with food to hopefully reduce the stomach upset. I would also consider the plant sourcing, extraction methodology, other ingredients, concentration and lab test results of the medication you are taking...while that's a lot to consider, it may be useful information to assess this stomach upset response.\n\njessicapeters","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_9789-markdown","title":"What oils are available for pain (hip)?","slug":"what-oils-are-available-for-pain-hip","content":"\n_____________________\nWe create two types of CBD-rich liquid tinctures that many patients find successful for pain management. We make Moxie Meds Relief 1:1 and Recovery 4:1 oral medications with full plant organic ethanol extraction, using CBD-rich flowers (not trim) grown following organic standards. The rest of our non-cannabis ingredients are certified organic and are added to increase therapeutic efficacy. If you have either severe pain or some level of THC tolerance, you'll likely find even parts CBD to THC (like our Relief 1:1) the most effective/strongest analgesic but there will often be some level of psychoactivity. If you are new to cannabis or need a less to non-psychoactive option for daytime needs, our Recovery 4:1 might be a better choice as most patients find it effective at reducing inflammation as well as pain, all without accompanying psychoactive effects. You could also consider utilizing the Recovery 4:1 during the morning and afternoon and the Relief 1:1 in the evening so that you get the best reduction of inflammation and pain relief possible hopefully without feeling a lack of focus or disruption to your workday. Finally, I would also suggest considering a topical medication in addition - to \"double up\" in the pain management, so to speak.\n\njessicapeters","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_9778-markdown","title":"Can you vape RSO (Rick Simpson Oil)?","slug":"can-you-vape-rso-rick-simpson-oil","content":"\n_____________________\nFrom personal experience, I have vaped RSO oil that I have made. It is important to know how it was produced and what solvent was used for extraction. We use 190 proof non-gmo ethanol...pure alcohol. There are some other people that use other toxic solvents like hexane, butane and many more. Personally I would not want those in my system, so make sure you know how and what was used for extraction. Secondly, because RSO oil is thick like molasses, many vape pens cannot handle the thick oil, so either find a vape pen that can OR thin down the RSO oil with some organic vegetable glycerin, which will make it easier to vape.\n\nPiantaTinta","image":null}}]}},"pageContext":{"limit":12,"skip":252,"numPages":38,"currentPage":22,"id":5583,"name":"Oil","slug":"oil","country":"US"}},"staticQueryHashes":["3949754563","4179947113","4202924991"]}
