At our dispensary, we have found that patches work better for neurological pain, and not so much for skeletal, but that is just anecdotal. Patches are good for keeping the cannabinoids available to your system, but also consider other modes of administration, including tinctures and/or edibles. \nWe have a wide variety of patches available, CBD alone, 18-1 CBD to THC, Tetc.We have found our THCa product, Cannamin, works well, but it comes in pill form but as the benefit of not being psychoactive ( It is raw cannabis juice that has been dehydrated) Again, you are going to have to find out what works best for you and I would consider including other modes of administration in your dosing protocol.\n\ndneice","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_6878-markdown","title":"How do i get rid of pain caused by inflammation?","slug":"how-do-i-get-rid-of-pain-caused-by-inflammation","content":"\n_____________________\nIf your pain is caused by inflammation then let's start by getting rid of that inflammation! There are many forms of cannabis that could help you out!\n\nTopicals are a great way to fight local inflammation and I use them on my back and wrists every week! I am still blown away by how well topicals work for relief from pain caused by inflammation.\n\nSmoking or vaping is another good way to fight inflammation, though I have found this less effective than topicals for my back and wrists.\n\nEdibles are another fantastic way to fight chronic inflammation and they are generally stronger and last longer than vaping or smoking. I kind of think it as a time release version of inhaled cannabis. I always caution new users to start very low with edibles. They can be very strong! \n\nMany find relief through tinctures as well. I am the least experienced with these so I can only comment in a limit capacity. I know that many find them effective and they are probably the best way to start with cannabis.\n\nryan\n_____________________\nI'm not a professional in this field, but I would recommend using CBD of some sort. Ingesting it and using it topically would both probably help. \n\njudahhanh","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_6874-markdown","title":"I have...anxiety induced OCD and depression and joint pain. Depending on your comfort level with cannabis, you could start on a 1:1 ratio tincture. Also, if you are going to smoke or vape, finding the right strain is important. I would recommend a tincture for daily use and then finding a strain(s) that work best for whatever acute symptoms you are experiencing.\n\ndneice","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_6861-markdown","title":"I have peripheral neuropathy of both feel. A ratio of 1:1 - equal parts CBD to THC will likely provide the most pain relief without having you feeling overwhelmed by the THC.\n\njessicapeters\n_____________________\nKiva confections offer a variety of delicious chocolate edibles starting at 5 milligrams of thc up to 180mg in a kiva bar. It is all hit or miss?\"\n_____________________\nFor your needs, I would consider lower doses with greater frequency. Most patients find medications with equal parts CBD to THC (1:1) to be most effective for pain relief. If you are comfortable with that level of more minimal psychoactivity, a lower dose 2-3x/day seems ideal for most patients seeking chronic pain management.\n\njessicapeters\n_____________________\nThere are many formulations of CBD rich cannabis. I would suggest a whole plant CDB rich tincture with some portion of THC. All of the cannabinoids and other compounds work together to provide a synergysic effect. If you are inhaling, you may want to dose every few hours, tinctures should used around every 5 hours and edibles maybe two or three times a day. Topicals can be applied many times per day. Suppositories can be used a few times a day as well.\n\nandrewvanmd","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_6837-markdown","title":"What is your dosage recommendation for Multiple Myeloma?","slug":"what-is-your-dosage-recommendation-for-multiple-myeloma","content":"\"My dad is on morphine for pain and is being treated with Velcade and Deratumamab. Some people have no intention of changing what they are doing and you need to be okay with his wishes. The higher CBD should help with pain relief but it seems to take about 3 weeks to get maximum benefit from a High CBD/ Low THC.\n\ndrolson","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_6836-markdown","title":"What cannibis would be good for severe poly neuropathy and another for bone pain?","slug":"what-cannibis-would-be-good-for-severe-poly-neuropathy-and-another-for-bone-pain","content":"\n_____________________\nI would recommend starting with a whole plant extract of CBD rich cannabis in tincture format. Dosage will vary, but generally you would apply a few drops under the tongue and let that dissolve in your mouth. Wait half an hour and apply a few more drops. There are so many different varieties and growing methods, that I would also suggest trying several types of cannabis and decide what works best for you. Vaporization will provide more immediate results and topicals might also be beneficial for your neuropathy.\n\nandrewvanmd","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_6825-markdown","title":"I want the pain benefits from my oil without being too sleepy. We recommend using a CBD oil during the day for pain relief and then a CBD/THC oil at night to continue the pain relief while inducing sleep at the same time. This combination of products will allow for pain relief during the day without drowsiness and pain relief at night with a bit of a sleep aid.
