Please help\"\n_____________________\nPast \"extant\" case reports in the literature state cannabis use in the transplant population is associated with conditions such as glomerulonephritis, heart arrhythmias like ventricular tachycardia and toxicity from anti-rejection meds like tacrolimus.  However, newer studies seem to show survival rates for cannabis users for liver, kidney, lung, & heart transplants are the SAME as for non-users.  With this information, I would just have an honest talk with the transplant team and ask if cannabis use is okay/not prohibited. Each city and county may have differing rules regarding medical and recreational use as well.\n\nThe 15% California cannabis tax is charged on all regardless of state card or online Dr. rec.  The remaining city and local taxes usually were being waived for medical uses with either a card or a rec.\n\nIt seems that tele-health providor recommendations are being held valid in California. However some retail organizations I know are claiming you must have a state issued card to be exempt from the city and state franchise taxes.\n\nAlso be aware there is a clause related to the ownership of firearms for anyone possessing a state issued medical cannabis card.\n\n\n\nhighlandfarms\n_____________________\nHere's a short article that goes over the MMIC--Medical Marijuana Identificaiton Card. Many locations in California won't be ready for Jan 1.  Basically all cannabis businesses will need licenses from their county and CA. But CA won't give out licenses until the counties do it first, and many counties are still figuring out what their rules will be! So people may not be able to just stroll into a dispensary come January. Some other reasons to keep/renew your medical card: medical marijuana will be cheaper than recreational cannabis; a medical rec gives you access to a doctor, who can give you expert advice on treating any conditions you're dealing with (budtenders are great and knowledgeable, but they're not doctors); you have to be 21 to consume recreational cannabis, but only 18 to qualify for a medical card; because of the regulations, some dispensaries will be medical only.
