Please check out this previously answered question on the matter that also includes a link to an article on the subject:\n\nashleigh\n_____________________\nCannabis appears to provide many benefits for patients with MS.  These benefits include reduction of spasticity, improvement of urinary symptoms, reduction of pain, improvement of mood.  The medical literature is full of small studies that demonstrate these effects (https://scholar.google.com/scholar?q=cannabis+multiple+sclerosis+study&hl=en&as_sdt=0&as_vis=1&oi=scholart&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwirhP_V6PPYAhVL2mMKHaIrBkgQgQMIJzAA), although the effects are not always profound.  I believe THC is extremely important in producing these effects, and the presence of sufficient CBD is also important.  I do not think there is yet clinical science supporting a particular ratio of CBD:THC, but 1:1 is probably a good place to start, varying the ratio and amount taken to discover what is most helpful.  Many such preparations are available for inhalation or ingestion.  I wish you great success in reducing the discomfort of your MS symptoms.\n\ndrelkind","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_7230-markdown","title":"I am new to this....my Dr suggests \"Tincture\"? There are a variety of tinctures available in California, and you can obtain them in different strengths and THC:CBD ratios. \n\nHere is a great article that talks a little more about tinctures and how they can benefit you: https://www.hellomd.com/health-wellness/598c7958c760c43045c3375c/cannabis-tinctures-what-they-are-and-why-you-want-them \n\nI hope this information helps! :-) \n\nVeronicaB","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_11457-markdown","title":"Can I take CBD or THC regularly to eliminate the pain from no knee cartilage and stay active running, etc?","slug":"can-i-take-cbd-or-thc-regularly-to-eliminate-the-pain-from-no-knee-cartilage-and-stay-active-running-etc","content":"\n_____________________\nI am not a doctor, so this represents my opinion and experience only.\n\nThe answer to your question is yes, you can use CBD and THC and stay active. It is really up to you and your tolerance as to how active you can remain while taking medical cannabis. I do not like to get high and I use CBD/THC everyday for pain and inflammation. I would recommend if you are sensitive to THC and do not want to get high that you try a high CBD product with moderate levels of THC and also use a topical cream. \n\nYou will need to experiment to see what works. My guess is is you have no knee cartilage that maybe swimming might be better though! ;-)\n\nI just wrote a new post on how to use cannabis without getting high:\n\nhttps://www.hellomd.com/health-wellness/leaving-your-lover-not-getting-high\n\nHope this helps!\n\npamelahadfield","image":null}}]}},"pageContext":{"limit":12,"skip":0,"numPages":1,"currentPage":1,"id":5709,"name":"Running","slug":"running","country":"US"}},"staticQueryHashes":["3949754563","4179947113","4202924991"]}
