I have been using edibles for sleep and anxiety only in ghe evening. Lately I have had slight twitching/pulsing sensation in both eyes from time to time. I have a pretty hectic work schedule but have been on vacation resting for a week, so I don't know if it's stress or fatigue or if it's connected to marijuana. And, of course, if it is something to be concerned about. Just wanted to see if this was a common symptom.\"\n_____________________\nEyelid twitching is actually quite common. If you have never had this before it is often associated with stress, lack of sleep, caffeine, alcohol, allergies or sporadic and is benign. If other parts of your body also begin twitching with muscle weakness you may want to get this looked into. Side effects of cannabis; however, can be muscle twitching. Therefore see if you can make the association with any of the benign causes or when you are using cannabis.\n\ndrb","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_11532-markdown","title":"Is there an ideal flower for productivity?","slug":"is-there-an-ideal-flower-for-productivity","content":"\"I work in a high-performance tech startup environment, where my workdays entail a blend of extreme concentration, strategic thinking and creative marketing work. I've used CBD capsules with some success for concentration and stress management, but are there hybrid flowers I should consider for this \"Goldilocks\" blend of prolonged calm focus, creativity and strategic thinking?\"\n_____________________\nYou're looking for quite the flower! On a certain level, every strain effects everybody differently so what works for one person may not work for another person. From a personal standpoint, I tend to prefer the 1:1 THC:CBD strains that lean a bit more towards the Sativa side of things when I am working heads down on a big, project that requires a strategic and creative focus. I might suggest that you try a few different phenotypes of In The Pines. Nothing too strong on either the head or body side of things.\n\nadams\n_____________________\nI've had good luck with Blue Dream - though I've noticed it's a bit THC heavy at times. I might recommend vaporizing some Blue Dream or a similar sativa along with taking a tincture under the tongue of 4:1 CBD:THC. Be aware that the tincture will take anywhere from 15-45 minutes to kick in, so you may need to play with the timing!\n\ndpan\n_____________________\nWe get this question frequently since a lot of people are looking for the same thing as you: a flower that alleviates  stress while at the same time boosts creativity. We've heard rave reviews from our customers that the following flowers of ours fulfill this need: Cactus Cooler, Pineapple Express, Sour Diesel, and Jack Herer. \n\ngreendoorwest","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_11478-markdown","title":"Is the Moxie Meds 4:1 tincture psychoactive?","slug":"is-the-moxie-meds-4-1-tincture-psychoactive","content":"\"I am looking for something for daytime stress relief that will not effect me at work.\"\n_____________________\n4:1 and psychoactivty, a personal experience- \nI used to have a very high tolerance to THC when I was much younger, meaning I could medicate and still function and have focus throughout the day. In the last several years I have become very sensitive to THC, so sensitive that I tend avoid it unless it's balanced out with significant amounts of CBD. When I first started taking Recovery 4:1 during the day I didn't feel \"high\", what I really felt was the absence of stress and anxiety. People who usually function throughout the day on coffee and anxiety alone will understand that the absence of that hectic energy can feel pretty euphoric! I've been taking the 4:1 every night for a long time now. This not only keeps CBD in my system on a regular basis to help with anxiety and overall wellness, but it has also built up my THC tolerance enough that when I take a few drops of 4:1 during the day it helps take the edge off without making me slow down all together. I like to tell the newbies to take the baby steps, one drop at a time, as it's worth finding out what will work for your individual needs.\n\nnadia","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_11027-markdown","title":"Vaping Medical Cannabis","slug":"vaping-medical-cannabis","content":"\"I live in San Diego and I am wondering the cost of everything needed to vape medical cannabis? What is the cost range of the vape pen and the medical cannabis to use for vaping? Also, I would like a good recommendation for the vapor type of medical cannabis that helps with anxiety and stress and gives a LITTLE of a high/relaxed feeling immediately? \"\n_____________________\nI would suggest you start with a low cost vape pen (around $40 or so) with a resin cartridge of your choice. This would be a low cost way to experience vaping and see if its right for you. Also, there are many strains you can get for the resin contents, which means you could experiment with different combinations of CBD / THC and others to find the right fit for your headaches and anxiety.\n\nHere is a disposable model for $35\nhttps://www.speedweed.com/product/w-vape-disposable-vape-pen/\n\nW-Vapes also makes the rechargeable models which are awesome.\n\nOnce you have narrowed your choices to strains, and psychoactive combinations, if you choose you might invest in one of the higher priced vaping outfits like a Firefly, Pax or other. These are hundreds of dollars, but can provide for superior taste and other benefits. \n\nYou also might try a good tincture, or edible which could also be helpful for the anxiety and headache conditions you describe.\n\nmark","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_11021-markdown","title":"What is a doctors recommendation to remedy these conditions. My son he just bought a vaporizer that is coming in the mail. \n\nthanks\"\n_____________________\nFirst, I would caution that High THC could present a problem by increasing the risk of psychosis but CBD cannabis is antipsychotic. How old is your son? Has he been using high dose THC? Whether THC causes psychosis remains controversial. CBD is more likely safer than THC in this situation but the medicine, like Cannatonic, AC/DC, or other cannabis that is approximately 30 to 1, CBD to THC ratio are likely to be the best varieties for most people wanting an antipsychotic treatment but at night a larger dose of CBD may be indicated or a 1:1 THC:CBD tincture may be very effective for sleep. There is no reason to smoke or vape CBD since it does not get a person high and it works well by MCT tincture.\n\ndrolson","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_10907-markdown","title":"What strain is best for daytime use?","slug":"what-strain-is-best-for-daytime-use","content":"\"I use cannabis for stress and anxiety relief, but do not like feeling \"sleepy\" during the day. Getting well we'll be up to you.\nTake your CBD cannabis with low THC so you are not high but you are stopping the inflammation and pain, supporting the bones muscles, muscles, joints and immune system. Slather the topical CBD salve at the point of pain but also along the spine to effectively interrupt the pain cycle, 2-6 times daily.\nIs there a way to avoid the repetitive strain? Try to do things differently to avoid a reinjury. If all else fails, consider changing your job or your line of work since life is too short to be miserable.\nYour muscle system is the process of applying empowering-directed movements and actions so I wonder if you feel that you have lost your power to make movements or actions. It is possible that the underlying cause of your repetitive stress may be found when you see what is disempowering you.\nWhat would you really like to do with your life? And, what is really holding you back?\n\ndrolson\n_____________________\nI have had excellent results using a similar product on an Achilles tendon injury from playing squash. \n\nRubbed in as massage, every night for two weeks solved the issue. This after no amount of rest or pain medications had any effect. I was playing squash again without pain afterwards.\n\nNot quite repetitive stress injury, but still an excellent result.\n\nmark\n_____________________\nHow well a topical will work for repetitive stress injury really depends on which type of injury and whether or not you've been able to stop doing the motion that triggers the pain in the first place. For instance, sore shoulder muscles from doing something new that required the same motion over and over for a short period of time will often respond very well to topicals with THC for the pain and THCA for the inflammation. When the inflammation is addressed, it also relieves pain so the two in combination can nearly double the feeling of relief. \n\nThis THC/THCA combination also works on sore muscles and even tendons that hurt because of continuous overwork for longer periods of time. As an injury deepens so does the level of pain which results in a lessening of the topical's effect. Finally, using a topical on a repetitive stress injury without stopping the repetition will more than likely result in very little pain relief. That's because the body needs rest at the location as well as application of medicine to help bring down high pain and inflammation levels and give the body's natural resources a chance to restore healing to the area.\n\ndidi","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_10776-markdown","title":"I have a lot of stress and anxiety and wonder if OG Kush may be a good strain to try for this?","slug":"i-have-a-lot-of-stress-and-anxiety-and-wonder-if-og-kush-may-be-a-good-strain-to-try-for-this","content":"\"I used to smoke marijuana years ago and always liked it. Lately, I have thought it might be good to try it again as some friends tell me they use it to reduce stress. Is OG Kush considered a good strain for stress and anxiety? \"\n_____________________\nIf you have never tried OG Kush, I would caution you, starting with that one. To start, I think it's wise to take CBD cannabis to calm the stress and anxiety and to keep the CBD levels steady, then you can add OG Kush. Since OG Kush is high in THC and low in CBD, your stress may improve but you could be vulnerable to anxiety. You do not want to do a high dose of CBD close to the time you take your OG Kush or you will end up with high CBD, with high THC, potentially making you go to sleep.\nOG Kush does not have a lot of negative effects, mostly it is uplifting, relaxing and can even make you happy but consider having some drops of CBD cannabis on hand so if you experience anxiety put one or two drops CBD tincture under your tongue for calming. \nIf your body is cannabis friendly, you could just try the OG Kush as long as you have drops of CBD available for buffering. \nGood luck in your experiment and remember any bad experience will wear off in a couple hours. Once you know how your body responds to CBD as well as THC, you will be in control.\n\ndrolson\n_____________________\nIf you're taking up cannabis again after a long break, my first advice would be to start slow no matter which strain you try - just one hit, then see how you feel. Strains vary greatly in strength and amounts of THC and CBD - figuring out what works with your body and mind is an experiment, so take note of the type of cannabis you try, how much you smoked, and the results. \n\nOG Kush is a high THC strain known to produce euphoric feelings and is reported to reduce stress, anxiety, and help with depression. People report feelings of happiness and calm and say it produces a strong high that comes on quickly - like a rush of energy. It's a predominantly indica strain, which should give you more of a body high and may be better for night time or any time that you don't have much to do. \n\nIf you'd like to treat anxiety with a strain that produces a more mellow psychoactive effect, I suggest something with high CBD. \n\nWhichever you choose, starting with a small dose is the key to a good experience. CBD counteracts the psychoactive effects of THC, so keep a CBD tincture on hand in case anxiety arises, and enjoy your experimentation!\n\nandrea13","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_10733-markdown","title":"I am using cannabis as an alcohol replacement. ","slug":"i-am-using-cannabis-as-an-alcohol-replacement","content":"\"I find that it makes me less irritable - especially being around my family, dealing with stress from work etc. My question is whether I should be concerned about frequency of use? If I used it several times a week, will that have negative effects on my health / motivation etc?\"\n_____________________\nI think this is a great question, I too replaced alcohol with cannabis. I can not answer this question from a doctor's perspective, because I am not one but I know a lot about cannabis.\n\nThere is always a debate around alcohol vs. marijuana and which is better or worse for you. Obviously, alcohol is a drug that is completely acceptable within the realm of our society, whereas cannabis still has a stigma surrounding it i.e., you're a stoner etc.\n\nLet's start with some basic facts alcohol:\n\n* 88,000 die every year from alcohol consumption\n* it is known carcinogen\n* it destroys the liver\n* it interacts negatively to other drugs more readily (opiates, etc)\n* damages the heart - stroke, high blood pressure, arrhythmia\n* causes inflammation to the pancreas\n* ages the skin (who needs that!!!!)\n* weakens the immune system\n* your ability to process alcohol decreases with age\n* rates of addiction hover at around 15%+\n\nSome possible negative effects with marijuana:\n\n* possible paranoia and anxiety\n* can irritate the respiratory system -but can also be known to be a bronchodilator\n* can cause hallucinations in large quantities\n* can increase heart rate\n* rate of addiction hovers at around 9%\n* if you ingest cannabis that is not lab tested you may be taking in pesticides or other chemical nasties\n\nNo one has ever died from smoking marijuana-ever. Many people never experience negative health consequences from cannabis use. In fact many people see an improvement in the quality of life, BUT this is highly variable. Only you can judge if your overall quality of life is enhanced. Many people find that it reduces stress and is less damaging than alcohol-such as myself. I think you can see for yourself if you are less motivated. To some it is demotivating and I speak to others who become highly motivated.\n\nHere are the questions I ask back to you:\n* Do you experience withdrawal when you don't have it?\n* Do you feel a loss of control?\n* Do you only hang out with others who smoke?\n* Do you feel you spend too much time getting high?\n* Are you able to cut back easily?\n\nThese are common questions that are asked to assess addiction. \n\nI started to replace alcohol as I felt alcohol was detrimental to my system and cannabis worked really well for me. The way I ingest it takes the edge off of stress as well as pain I may feel. I use cannabis on a weekly basis but almost never get high. I use very low levels of THC and high CBD which creates a sense of relaxation and helps with chronic pain issues. If you are very concerned about ingesting too much you may try cutting back or using it in different forms like low dose edibles, low dose tinctures, sprays, etc.\n\nHope this helps!\n\n\npamelahadfield","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_10720-markdown","title":"Marijuana helps me manage stress and anxiety really well but it makes me very tired.
