It has been two weeks and not working yet. Do you think the doctor meant one dropper instead of one drop?\"\n_____________________\nThere is no one size fits all when it comes to dosing...the general rule is to start off with a low dose and slowly increase the drops until you get the desired effect. I am not a doctor but have seen many patients with pain issues and they start with one or two drops of a tincture and if no relief, then increase it by a drop until you get pain relief. I also depends on the strength of the tincture. Some tinctures are very concentrated and you only need a few drops while others are much weaker and may need a whole dropperful.\nBe open to experiment!!\n\nPiantaTinta","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_7757-markdown","title":"I took cannabis to help me sleep, but instead it kept me up! You can try 1/2 tsp and go into your dispensary and discuss the effects with a pharmacist. I am quoting from @eeknight which may help from our \"Insomnia\" discussion board:\n\n\"Most people do not find CBD helpful for sleep. Most high CBD strains are sativa strains which tends to stimulate and uplift rather than relax. High CBD is great for daytime but for night time, I would suggest a High THC tincture, but use a low dose. With a low dose you get the benefit of body relaxation without the \"high\". With tinctures you can control the dose very easily. Most of our tinctures use Indica strains which are body relaxing and perfect for sleep. I find for myself THC tinctures help me sleep deeper and longer throughout the night.\"\n\nrachelnp","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_7695-markdown","title":"Please recommend the best CBD tincture, oil, or tablet for my chronic pain? However, congratulations on beating cancer and being a survivor. A study published in the Journal of Molecular Medicine, conducted by a team of researchers from Italy and the UK reported that cannabis extracts high in cannabidiol (CBD) can help prevent the genesis and spread of colon cancer in mice. According to their results high levels of CBD inhibited the growth of tumor cells, but not healthy ones.\n\nnptherasse","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_7672-markdown","title":"What dosage of CBD oil or tincture would be helpful for chronic nerve pain?","slug":"what-dosage-of-cbd-oil-or-tincture-would-be-helpful-for-chronic-nerve-pain","content":"\"What titration schedule should I use?\"\n_____________________\nMedicinal Cannabis is great at providing nerve pain relief. Its two major cannabinoids are Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and Cannabidiol (CBD). These two cannabinoids work the best together for pain relief at a 1:1 ratio. I would start you on 5mg, titrating upward in milligrams as needed.\n\ntatiananp","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_7670-markdown","title":"How do I make my own tincture? They are both carriers for the cannabinoids, nothing more, so match whichever vehicle fits your recipe best. Most baked items use butter or oil, but I prefer to use tincture in tea, or anything without fat in it. Thank you!\"\n_____________________\nI have had alot of members tell me that a 3:1 or 1:1 CBD/THC tincture is the best for their chronic pain. Some people have had success with a 20:1 but in my opinion a higher THC works well with the CBD. If you try a 1:1 ratio, you might have some psychoactive effects but probably mild, so try taking a number of small doses rather than one large dose. It really is an individual thing, as everyone responds differently so don't be afraid to experiement.\n\nPiantaTinta","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_10539-markdown","title":"What are tinctures?","slug":"what-are-tinctures-1","content":"\n_____________________\nMarijuana tinctures are cannabis extracts dissolved into an alcohol base.
