I’m looking for something that can instantly relax my anxiety, any recommendations?”** \n\nKatherine C.\n\n__________________________________ \n \n![Untitledval114.png](https://hellomd-cms.s3.us-west-2.amazonaws.com/Untitledval114_dc4366f6e0.png)\n\nSuppose you’re looking for immediate relief from something like a sudden anxiety attack. In that case, [vaping CBD oil](https://hellomd.com/articles/how-to-vape-marijuana-safely) in a cartridge may be a good idea as the effects kick in almost immediately. Vaping is one of the most popular ways to consume CBD. A CBD vape pen provides fast relief from symptoms of anxiety, calming your body and mind almost instantaneously. \n\nVaping is also an excellent choice for those who’ve used cigarettes to cope with their anxiety in the past and are now looking for an alternative to smoking. Because vaping simulates smoking in many ways, it can feel comfortable for smokers who want a healthier but familiar method to combat their anxiety. [Verilife](https://www.verilife.com/ma/menu/shrewsbury-recreational) has a great selection of CBD and THC vapes on their website and in their multiple dispensaries.\n\nAnother great way to take CBD for your anxiety is through [CBD tinctures](https://hellomd.com/articles/cannabis-tinctures-what-they-are-and-why-you-want-them). If you’re looking for a straightforward and versatile way to take advantage of CBD for anxiety, a tincture is perhaps your best bet. You can consume tinctures in various ways. \n\nFor fast-acting relief, apply a few drops under your tongue. Alternatively, you can add CBD tinctures to just about any recipe to easily add CBD’s stress-relieving effects to your daily routine. [HelloMD](https://hellomd.com/) has many great [recipes]( https://hellomd.com/articles/diy-recipes-3-tasty-cbd-snacks-for-summer) to look through on their website.\n \nYour next option would be [CBD capsules](https://hellomd.com/articles/cannabis-capsules-why-they-might-be-right-for-you); these are best to control dosing. While vaporizers are a great way to get fast-acting relief from anxious symptoms, their dosage can sometimes be hard to control. This issue is easily solved with CBD capsules. With each capsule, you’ll know precisely how much CBD you’re consuming. \n\nTaking capsules makes it very easy to determine what amount of CBD is right for you. There are various capsules on the market, each with varying amounts of CBD. A great place to start is capsules with a high CBD to THC ratio. [Verilife](https://www.verilife.com/) has an excellent option for this, [Matter capsules](https://www.verilife.com/ny/menu/verilife-amherst-ny) containing 1.7mg of THC and 25mg of CBD per capsule.\n \n[Edibles](https://hellomd.com/articles/consuming-cannabis-edibles-to-improve-your-health) can be challenging to navigate as each person reacts differently to them. Everyone metabolizes cannabis differently, so some people may experience a relaxing, soothing effect from an edible while others experience an energizing and focusing effect. For anxiety, edibles higher in CBD content rather than THC have been said to be the best. Keep in mind that edibles can take 1-3 hours before they begin to work. \n\n\nA product that some report has a quicker result time, such as 20 minutes, is [Kiva Petra Mints](https://www.kivaconfections.com/products?brand=petra&product-type=mint). They’re highly portable, decidedly poppable, and precisely dosed cannabis mints with rich flavors ranging from spicy to sour to sweet. Each mint contains just 2.5mg of THC or less per serving, making it easy to find your optimal dose. \n \nVictoria L.\n\n__________________________________ \n\n![Untitledval115.png](https://hellomd-cms.s3.us-west-2.amazonaws.com/Untitledval115_81561f0be5.png)\n \nThere really isn’t a “best” way to consume cannabis for anxiety; it is highly subjective to the person consuming the marijuana and their specific needs. As aforementioned, each consumption technique has its benefits and downfalls; it’s up to you to decide which one best suits your needs. If you’re looking for rapid relief, a **CBD vape pen** will do the trick, but the effects of a vape pen won’t last very long unless you continuously rip it. If you want something more versatile, a **tincture** can be used sublingually or in any food, making it easy to consume daily; it also does not require smoking. \n\n![Untitledval110.png](https://hellomd-cms.s3.us-west-2.amazonaws.com/Untitledval110_025ea61e92.png)\n![Untitledval102.png](https://hellomd-cms.s3.us-west-2.amazonaws.com/Untitledval102_5ec448864c.png)\n\nIf you want to smoke **flower**, the [Harle-Tsu](https://hellomd.com/strains/harle-tsu) strain is a great option; with a ratio of 20:1 CBD to THC, it’s exceptionally calming without psychoactive properties. **Capsules** are another great way to consume CBD for anxiety, just take them with your daily pills and be on your way. If you’re looking for something to take where urgent relief isn’t needed, **edibles** will be your best option.\n\nAlisson M.","image":{"childImageSharp":{"fluid":{"base64":"data:image/png;base64,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","aspectRatio":1.3245033112582782,"src":"/static/a419dad080665c429afb3be3e1637a03/ee604/c1f1077e8f7fbd7d0e3c9454ef303f46.png","srcSet":"/static/a419dad080665c429afb3be3e1637a03/69585/c1f1077e8f7fbd7d0e3c9454ef303f46.png 200w,\n/static/a419dad080665c429afb3be3e1637a03/497c6/c1f1077e8f7fbd7d0e3c9454ef303f46.png 400w,\n/static/a419dad080665c429afb3be3e1637a03/ee604/c1f1077e8f7fbd7d0e3c9454ef303f46.png 800w,\n/static/a419dad080665c429afb3be3e1637a03/f3583/c1f1077e8f7fbd7d0e3c9454ef303f46.png 1200w","srcWebp":"/static/a419dad080665c429afb3be3e1637a03/58556/c1f1077e8f7fbd7d0e3c9454ef303f46.webp","srcSetWebp":"/static/a419dad080665c429afb3be3e1637a03/61e93/c1f1077e8f7fbd7d0e3c9454ef303f46.webp 200w,\n/static/a419dad080665c429afb3be3e1637a03/1f5c5/c1f1077e8f7fbd7d0e3c9454ef303f46.webp 400w,\n/static/a419dad080665c429afb3be3e1637a03/58556/c1f1077e8f7fbd7d0e3c9454ef303f46.webp 800w,\n/static/a419dad080665c429afb3be3e1637a03/99238/c1f1077e8f7fbd7d0e3c9454ef303f46.webp 1200w","sizes":"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px"}}}}},{"node":{"id":"Question_12561-markdown","title":"What is more economical, vaping, tincture, gummies?","slug":"what-is-more-economical-vaping-tincture-gummies","content":"**Vaping, tinctures and gummies are my favorite ways of consuming cannabis. Which method gives you the best bank for the buck?**\n\nMolly P\n\n---------------\nCost is not the most reliable method of comparing these methods of ingestion. I think you have to ask yourself, which one works best for you as far as onset, duration and potency. And do you prefer inhaling the product, putting drops under your tongue or in drinks, or consuming it as a tasty gummy or other edible?\n\nBut if you want to look at cost, [Headset](https://mjbizdaily.com/chart-price-per-milligram-of-thc-varies-between-cannabis-infused-products/), a Seattle-based analytics company has done a report comparing the cost of THC in different various products. The average price per milligram of THC in edibles is 20 cents (the same price for capsules), while it is 32 cents for tinctures, sublinguals, and topicals.\n\nThe price of THC in tinctures, sublinguals, capsules and topicals could be higher because of the ratio of THC to CBD in those products. For example, a tincture with a 1:2 ratio of THC to CBD might have a higher price point for the THC.\n\n\n\nAgain, it depends on consumption methods, but if you compare vaping cannabis to smoking it, usually vaping is considered less costly because it is more concentrated and stretches your supply longer.\n\nOf course, with vaping you have to take into account costs for the type of vaping pen you use, the heating method, battery life, how you choose to smoke (for example, buds, distillate or live resin), accessories, and the ongoing cost of oil cartridges, if you use them.\n\nIn considering which method of consuming cannabis is more “economical” for you — including [how quickly CBD works](https://www.cnet.com/health/nutrition/cbd-products-explained/) in edibles, topicals, vaping and oils — it may be worthwhile to consider other factors. For example, [vaping](https://hellomd.com/articles/the-benefits-of-vaping-medical-marijuana) may be the fastest way to feel the effects of consuming cannabis, usually happening a few minutes after inhalation. \n\nAgainst this there are some health concerns. Some vape cartridges contain propylene glycol (also found in e-cigarettes), which can break down into formaldehyde, a possible carcinogen, at high temperatures. However, there are \"solvent-free\" oils available that don't use propylene glycol. \n\nBy comparison, [edibles, including gummies, ](https://hellomd.com/articles/9-foolproof-rules-for-consuming-cannabis-edibles) may take a longer time to get into your system, with onset taking 30 to 90 minutes, and perhaps even longer in some cases. Onset time can also be affected if you've eaten something before this. But against this, there is a huge variety of edible products available for every taste, from sweet to savory. And if you get a packaged edible with ingredients listed, this can help you with dosing for medical marijuana needs.\n\nGummies are one of the most prevalent types of edibles out there, so it is easy to find one with the right THC:CBD ratio you want, as well as the amounts of these cannabinoids in each piece.\n\nA [tincture](https://hellomd.com/articles/how-medical-marijuana-tinctures-helped-melt-away-my-anxiety-and-stress) is a liquid cannabis concentrate made using alcohol for the extraction. It is the second-fastest way to feel the effects of the cannabis — usually 30 minute or less after administering it under your tongue with an eyedropper. \n\nAgainst this, some people may not like the lingering aftertaste of tinctures (although different flavors may help with this). Dosing can sometimes be a bit tricky, which can be minimized with a labeled dropper.\n\nI hope that helps.\n\nNurse Talli\n![Screen Shot 2021-10-11 at 9.36.36 AM.png](https://hellomd-cms.s3.us-west-2.amazonaws.com/Screen_Shot_2021_10_11_at_9_36_36_AM_8e3eb9e84e.png)\n","image":{"childImageSharp":{"fluid":{"base64":"data:image/png;base64,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","aspectRatio":1.7699115044247788,"src":"/static/5050430dd6d5873fbfce1334b44851df/ee604/51f56af574e64baf24f420fc585f3677.png","srcSet":"/static/5050430dd6d5873fbfce1334b44851df/69585/51f56af574e64baf24f420fc585f3677.png 200w,\n/static/5050430dd6d5873fbfce1334b44851df/497c6/51f56af574e64baf24f420fc585f3677.png 400w,\n/static/5050430dd6d5873fbfce1334b44851df/ee604/51f56af574e64baf24f420fc585f3677.png 800w,\n/static/5050430dd6d5873fbfce1334b44851df/f3583/51f56af574e64baf24f420fc585f3677.png 1200w,\n/static/5050430dd6d5873fbfce1334b44851df/ef8e7/51f56af574e64baf24f420fc585f3677.png 1318w","srcWebp":"/static/5050430dd6d5873fbfce1334b44851df/58556/51f56af574e64baf24f420fc585f3677.webp","srcSetWebp":"/static/5050430dd6d5873fbfce1334b44851df/61e93/51f56af574e64baf24f420fc585f3677.webp 200w,\n/static/5050430dd6d5873fbfce1334b44851df/1f5c5/51f56af574e64baf24f420fc585f3677.webp 400w,\n/static/5050430dd6d5873fbfce1334b44851df/58556/51f56af574e64baf24f420fc585f3677.webp 800w,\n/static/5050430dd6d5873fbfce1334b44851df/99238/51f56af574e64baf24f420fc585f3677.webp 1200w,\n/static/5050430dd6d5873fbfce1334b44851df/f95bf/51f56af574e64baf24f420fc585f3677.webp 1318w","sizes":"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px"}}}}},{"node":{"id":"Question_12353-markdown","title":"Addiction question","slug":"addiction-question","content":"\"My husband and I are trying a CBD/THC tincture 20 to 1 for pain management. We each started with five drops a day as recommended by the helpful MD we talked to on this website. I’m taking 5 drops in the morning and my husband is taking it at night because that’s when our pain is worse. I’m noticing a slight bit of pain relief but what I’m really noticing more is my sleep cycle has become slightly longer. Not a problem. My husband has noticed no change in his sleep and no pain relief. He is worried about addiction, since it seems to be changing my sleep cycle. Is addiction a concern if I stopped taking the tincture? I am trying to ease up on Celebrex. I haven’t smoked pot in many years. Any feedback appreciated. \"\n_____________________\nAny substance that alters your experience can be habit-forming, but CBD on its own is not considered addictive. In fact, one of the least understood benefits of CBD oil is its possible effectiveness in treating symptoms associated with alcohol and drug addiction.\n\nIt is common, over time, to require more CBD to achieve the desired effect as your body develops a tolerance to the cannabinoid. This is particularly true for new consumers.\n\nKevin P.\n_____________________\nHi there!\nThere is absolutely no potential of developing an addiction to cannabis when using such a low THC-concentration-containing product, such as the 20:1 tincture you and your husband have been using. CBD has no addictive potential; heavy and frequent use of THC may cause a psychological dependence, but not physical dependence, as alcohol,  benzodiazepines and opiates can cause. You and your husband are not even on the map of those engaged in heavy THC use. \n\nAlso, five drops of that tincture likely has between 0.1mg and 0.3mg of THC, which would be imperceptible for most likely everyone. Many don't even notice 3mg.  Also, you can/should be taking the oil on an as needed basis. Taking the oil once per day would not provide relief for more than 6 hours at the most. I usually recommend taking the oil at least twice per day. Also, most should at least 10 drops of a 20:1 tincture/dose, as 5 drops likely contains less than 3mg of CBD, and functionally, zero THC. \n\nSince it seems your husband has difficulty sleeping due to more noticeable pain in the evening, an oil with a higher THC concentration would likely be more beneficial. In general, after learning more about the patient's situation, I would recommend a 1:1 or 2:1 oil if THC is acceptable to the patient. I recommend starting no higher than 2.5mg of THC per dose. Also, 1:1 is, by far, the most studied ratio, including in studies regarding pain issues. For sleep, THC is what causes sedation.\n\ndrkim\n_____________________\nSo, for example, if we wanted to keep the CBD dosage at 10mg/dose, we would choose the ratio of the product that provides the amount of THC that is acceptable to the patient. Many patients want no perceptible psychoactivity during the day, while some psychoactivity during the evening is acceptable. In this situation, many would use a\nhigher ratio during the day, such as\n10:1, which would provide 10mg of CBD and 1mg of THC. Most patients do not perceive psychoactivity when taking 1mg, or less of THC \n\nThen as a sleep aid, a more balanced ratio, such as 1:1, which would provide 10mg of CBD, and 10mg of THC. 10mg is considered a \"standard dose.\" Most new patients report 10mg of THC to be moderately to extremely psychoactive. So, when starting, it's always a good idea to start low, and go slow.   In general, 2.5mgs of THC would be a good \"test dose.\" 2:1 is also a popular evening ratio (10mg CBD, 5mg THC). \n\nRatios of between 10:1 and 30:1 are rarely psychoactive, so this ratio-range would be a good choice for most when psychoactivity is to be avoided, such as during the daytime, or if the patient prefers to avoid any psychoactivity. \n\nRatios of between 4:1 and 8:1 are considered mid-range ratios. In general, products in this range would cause mild psychoactivity, noticeable anxiety relief and a boosted mood, without feeling \"high\". \n\n\ndrkim\n_____________________\n2:1 and 1:1 are more balanced ratios. In general, this range provides the most pain relief and is the better choice for sleep issues. \n\nOils:\n1. Place the oil under your tongue.\n2. Use your tongue to gently “paint” the tincture around your inner cheeks\n3. Wait 60 to 90 seconds before swallowing.\nEffects should peak in about 15 minutes, and should last between 2 to 4 hours \n\nEDIBLES:\nWait at least 1 hour to gauge efficacy. When you are on an empty stomach, peak effect is reached in about one hour. However, if you have had a large meal, especially a fatty meal, it can take up to two hours to reach peak effect. Effects should last between 4 to 10 hours. \n\nWhen choosing products, make sure that the product label specifies the amount of CBD and/or THC per drop or dropper-full. Many products simply state the total amount of CBD and/or THC, which leads to unnecessary confusion. \n\nI hope this helps!\n\n\ndrkim","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_12352-markdown","title":"I’ve recently been diagnosed with Chron’s disease. Deficiency or malfunction of the ECS has become a focus for researchers seeking treatment options for several maladies—especially those that have few, if any, effective pharmocotherapeutic interventions, such as celiac disease, MS, fibromyalgia and IBD (Crohn's disease and and ulcerative colitis). In fact, the scientific community has recently termed the ECS malfunction \"Clinical Endocannabanoid Decifiency,\" or CECD. CBD works by balancing and supporting the ECS through its subtle effects on cannaboinoid receptor-1 (CB1) and cannaboinoid receptor-2 (CB2) receptors, as well as other receptors that modulate serotonin, GABA, dopamine, and many more.\n\ndrkim\n_____________________\nIn IBD and GERD, inflammation is central to both the etiology and symptomology of the respective disease. CBD is well known as an effective immunomodulator and anti-inflammatory, and those properties still do apply to GI inflammation. However, unique to the GI tract, are specialized nerve cells called enteric glial cells— \"the glue of the nteric nervous system (ENS)\"—which, when overactive, also contribute to acute and chronic GI inflammation. Recent pre-clinical research suggests that CBD may lower GI inflammation by controlling reactive gliosis in the ENS. Or, in other words, CBD restores homeostasis in the gut by reducing hyperactivity in enteric glial cells.\nThe enteric ENS is an extensive network of neurons supported by enteric glial cells (the above mentioned \"glue\" on the ENS). Two neural plexuses comprise the ENS: the myenteric plexus, involved in motility/peristalsis; and the submucosal plexus, involved in intestinal and gastric secretions. CBD works to restores homeostasis in the ENS via modulation of enteric glial cells (as mentioned above), the myenteric plexus, and the submucosal plexus.\n\ndrkim\n_____________________\n\nFurthermore, several studies show that among patients who seek medical attention for IBS or IBD, around 70% of IBS patients, and 30% of IBD patients, have psychiatric comorbidity—depression and generalized anxiety disorder being most common. CBD increases serotonin signaling at the 5-HT1A receptor—the same neurotransmitter and receptor that SSRIs like Prozac influence—which is mostly why CBD has antidepressant and anxiolytic properties. In fact, SSRIs and tricyclic antidepressants (which also increase serotonin signalling), have been shown to alleviate anxiety and depression symptoms, as well as alleviate some of the abdominal pain and bowel symptoms involved in IBS, IBD and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), which is why SSRIs and TCAs are commonly prescribed for IBS and IBD. \n\nWhen choosing products, make sure that the product label specifies the amount of CBD and/or THC per drop or dropper-full (such as the product Kevin recommended). Many products simply state the total amount of CBD and/or THC, which leads to unnecessary confusion.\n\nI hope this helps!\n\ndrkim","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_12348-markdown","title":"What is most effective product for sedation?","slug":"what-is-most-effective-product-for-sedation","content":"\"I am a 66 year old male, 170 lbs. You should try to aim for an indica strain which has a more of a sedating and relaxing effect. Sativa is more energizing and better used in the day time. You should look for a product that has a mid to high range THC (if no contraindications) and I would advise you dose in an oil form as the effect will last longer but of course the onset is much slower than inhalation. Follow sleep hygiene rules and you don't want to develop a sleep dependency issue with any sleep agents, and lastlly I would advise that you consider a referral for a sleep study from your primary care provider. \n\nAmyT","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_12298-markdown","title":"Best cbd tincture for insomia","slug":"best-cbd-tincture-for-insomia","content":"\"@Insomnia \"\n_____________________\nIf you're looking for a tincture that is only CBD, my favorite is the Cured Nutrition Raw Full Spectrum oil. Or was there a different process used to extract and then MCT oil added?\"\n_____________________\nHi there!\nThat tincture was made via a method called 'supercritical CO2 extraction', which is easily the most preferred and safe method of extraction. CO2 (carbon dioxide) is the inert gas we all exhale during each breath. In order to extract each cannabinoid, CO2 is manipulated by applying specific pressure and temperature points, individualized for each cannabinoid.\n\nThough less common today, butane and other petroleum-based solvents were utilized via a similar process. However, petroleum is not inert, which leads to a much more dirty and harmful end-product. Furthermore, most petroleum-based extracted end-products possess the odor and taste of butane. And in contrast to those products created via CO2 extraction, petroleum-based extracted products are known to cause respiratory problems when vaporized. So, make sure that all of the cannabis products you consume — such as vaporizer cartridges, edibles, sprays, oils and tinctures — were produced via CO2 extraction.\nI hope this helps! \n\n\ndrkim","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_12207-markdown","title":"Is an alcohol based cannabis tincture safe to use in conjunction with morphine, larazepam and Prozac for a cancer patient?","slug":"is-an-alcohol-based-cannabis-tincture-safe-to-use-in-conjunction-with-morphine-larazepam-and-prozac-for-a-cancer-patient","content":"\n_____________________\nHello, \nYes, there is no need for concern about drug interactions, nor the miniscule amount of alcohol.
