Patients describe their experience of Tinnitus as hearing noise of ringing in the ears without any evidence of external stimuli – no actual external noise. Most times, Tinnitus is a symptom of other underlying conditions like ear infection, or hearing loss. I strongly recommend that you follow up with your primary health care provider for proper evaluation and treatment of this symptom and other possible underlying medical conditions that may be associated with it.\n\nYemisiNP","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_9169-markdown","title":"Has anyone gotten relief from Tinnitus and Anxiety associated with Tinnitus from medical cannabis?","slug":"has-anyone-gotten-relief-from-tinnitus-and-anxiety-associated-with-tinnitus-from-medical-cannabis","content":"\n_____________________\nI'm sorry that you or your loved ones are being forced to suffer through tinnitus. Although there are anecdotal cases of having tinnitus patients being successfully treated with cannabis products for symptom relief, the following prospective randomized control trial using a rodent model shows cannabis increasing, not decreasing the incidence of tinnitus : https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4364172/ However, if you still would like to explore cannabinoids as possible agents in dealing with tinnitus, I might recommend trying products with some of the lesser known/lesser \"tested\" compounds (i.e. CBN, THCA, etc). According to the literature, lessening the amount of caffeine, alcohol, and/or tobacco may be helpful. The literature also mentions Vitamin A & Niacin also potentially helping with tinnitus. Would cannabis help ALL of those?","slug":"ive-got-anxiety-and-depression-but-also-life-long-tinnitus-would-cannabis-help-all-of-those","content":"\n_____________________\nThere is conflicting evidence regarding the effectiveness of cannabis in treating tinnitus, however based on my own experiences as well as many others I've spoken with cannabis can definitely help with the anxiety and depression. My understanding is the anxiety and depression can actually be side effects of lifelong tinnitus, so treating those symptoms, while perhaps not addressing the tinnitus directly, could still be highly beneficial.\n\nCBD has shown effectiveness treating anxiety, while the mood boosting effects of THC can help with depression. A balanced ratio of CBD and THC creates a synergistic 'entourage effect' that is greater than the sum of its parts, so I would personally recommend starting with products containing a roughly balanced ratio. These products also have more mild psychoactive effects if you happen to be sensitive to such. \n\n*Note: If you want a non-psychoactive medication you will want CBD only. Many people report his is highly effective for the anxiety.\n\nPersonally I have experienced great success treating my anxiety and depression with the Banana Smoothie vape cart from Kurvana's Infusions line as it has elevated levels of CBD to quell my anxiety but enough THC to give me a mood boost without interfering with mental function. It is quickly becoming one of our best-selling products at Sessions. You can check it out here - https://sessionscc.com/shop/kure-botanicals-kurvana-infused-cartridge/\n\nWe also offer two tinctures - one purely CBD (non-psychoactive, especially good for anxiety as mentioned above), the other a CBD/THC balance - that may interest you - https://sessionscc.com/shop/cbd-one-tinctures/ \n\nHope you find something that works for you! Take a look at the article below and be sure to read the comments of some patients that have had success, as well and some that have not. With dosing, I always suggest starting low and slow with 5mg of THC or less and titrating your dose up as you are comfortable. https://www.hellomd.com/health-wellness/lasting-relief-from-tinnitus-with-medical-marijuana\n\nkivaanastasia","image":null}},{"node":{"id":"Question_10742-markdown","title":"Can cannabis help ease tinnitus?","slug":"can-cannabis-help-ease-tinnitus","content":"\"I suffer terrible tinnitus and have tried everything to get rid of it. So this time of year you may have more problems if you have allergies. \nConsider eliminating all high allergenic foods from your diet, increasing your water intake.
