Browsing the internet for actual studies on the effects of cannabis on MALE fertility is like looking for a needle in a haystack.  There is not much good information out there for men, as it seems mostly focused on pregnant women.  I'm mostly using balanced thc:cbd ratio cannabis tinctures or vaporizers to medicate, however I'm curious what effect that could be having on my sperm and fertility as a whole.  I would like to continue to medicate my symptoms, but would like to also be sure that I'm doing the right thing for my future children by doing my due diligence here in researching possible issues with this use.\r\nIs using cannabis as a man trying to conceive something I should be concerned about?  \"\n_____________________\nNo cannabis will not decrease the likelihood of you and your wife conceiving a child. Have you heard of \"reefer madness\"? Cannabis has undergone the biggest smear campaign in history, and is still thought by some people to cause cancer, brain damage, male breast development, laziness, mental health diseases, and a decay of society. I call bull**** on all of this. Cannabis is the oldest, safest, best medicine on the planet. It is safe during pregnancy and for children. However, belief is a powerful thing, and if you and your wife believe that cannabis will hamper your ability to conceive a child, what you believe may influence the outcome.\n\nandrewvanmd\n_____________________\nActually, I have read the opposite, regular use of cannabis can interfere with male sperm production and tends to promote a larger number of abnormal sperm that are not capable of fertilization. Have you actually had your sperm analysis done to prove that you have a problem? That is usually the first test that's done because men are much easier, less expensive and less invasive to test.\r\nThe other question is, to achieve what you want isn't it worth it to consider going off your cannabis for a couple months? Please advise.\"\n_____________________\nThe reason you do not read about dosage is that dosage is incredibly individual with cannabis. The term 'low and slow' is used a lot and that means take some and wait and see how you feel and then possibly take more. The problem is is that my tolerance may or may not be anything like yours. \n\nWith ACDC there is no THC and if there is it is neglible. You won't get high, you may however get very very relaxed. I have a very low tolerance for cannabis and with my ACDC vape pen I have gone at it until I felt pain relief. Again, this is subjective as what gives me pain relief may not give you pain relief.\n\nACDC is a high CBD strain. My experience with CBD is that it takes awhile to build up in the system. I might suggest that you try a high CBD tincture and use that on a daily basis and try a vape pen that is CBD but with a small ratio of THC for ongoing pain. It is kind of a creepy way to buy cannabis, but you can buy the oils in syringes (i guess their technically applicators... anyways I wish they would do it in a way that wasn't so creepy looking). You will want to double check that the oils have been decarboxylated as well. That way they are active when you ingest them.\n\nIf we do some quick math: I can find in a popular dispensary in SF, that a cannabis cookie of 120mg THC is $12. You can buy a gram applicator that is 70% THC for $40. That works out to 700mg for $40. We can already see the cost savings :)\n\nYou can also get a bit scientific with this and try to use edibles that are fatty to increase the bioavailability of your oil.\n\nBuying concentrates intended to be vaped or smoked will not work if they have not been properly decarb'ed, so you cannot just grab any hash oil unless you plan on decarboxylating the oil yourself. Care by Design makes a great 4-1 CBD:THC.
