With Nortriptyline being a tricyclic antidepressant, the reported undesirable side effects are higher than with newer antidepressants. Low doses of THC have been reported to produce desirable effects, however, high doses of THC can increase anxiety.  Also, CBD counteracts many adverse effects of THC. There is significant preliminary evidence that suggests that CBD may be useful to combat anxiety, depression, and other psychiatric disorders.
