The same qualities that make cannabis a great medication for a variety of conditions can also lead people to feel anxious, uncomfortable and even paranoid. Cannabis has a biphasic effect, meaning low and high doses of marijuana can have very different effects on people. In small doses, cannabis can help reduce stress and anxiety related to conditions like PTSD. But in high doses, it can lead people to feel extremely anxious, uneasy and nervous. \n\nMaureen Dowd, a well-known _New York Times_ columnist, is now infamous for her [marijuana trip down the anxiety-laced rabbit hole](http://www.forbes.com/sites/daviddisalvo/2014/06/09/why-eating-a-marijuana-candy-bar-sent-maureen-dowd-to-paranoia-hell/#5e15f4c93e65). Dowd bought a cannabis-infused chocolate bar from a Denver dispensary in 2014 and had a most unfortunate experience after consuming the majority of the chocolate.\n\nIt's important to note that the chocolate bar she consumed was intended to have 16 individual doses, but she gobbled it all up, which led to her paralyzingly paranoid experience. Dowd wrote about her living-personal-hell experience; it went insanely viral online, and she got lambasted publicly for her stupidity.\n\n\n_Dowd's bad experience with marijuana made her an internet sensation._\n\nYet, Dowd's experience basically comes down to a lack of education. She was unaware of:\n\n* how much to take\n* how long to wait before consuming more\n* what to do if she had a bad experience\n\nThese are all things that people should be aware of before consuming marijuana.\n\nFOLLOW US ON [FACEBOOK](https://www.facebook.com/pg/hellomdcompany/posts/) & [INSTAGRAM](https://www.instagram.com/hellomd_com/?hl=en)\n\nCannabis-induced anxiety can echo traditional physical stressors that are experienced by people when they have anxiety attacks. Symptoms like a racing heartbeat, sweating, chills, chest pain, weakness, tingling, numbness and trouble breathing are all physical symptoms of marijuana-induced anxiety. They're harmless, but they can be scary at the time they're experienced. Feeling these physical symptoms can also cause a person to panic, even though they're in no real harm. There has still never been a documented overdose death due to marijuana. \n \nIf you're trying a higher dose of cannabis than you usually take, prepare for the chance that you may experience cannabis-induced anxiety by consuming your marijuana in a safe space with people you trust.\n\n### Tips on How to Manage Your Cannabis-Induced Panic Attack\n\nThe most important thing to remember when experiencing a cannabis-induced anxiety attack is to stay calm if you may feel completely out of control. Keeping calm can help anxiety pass more quickly. Keeping a high-ratio cannabidiol (CBD) tincture on hand is also helpful as it can typically help take the edge off much more quickly. \n\nFor many, CBD, a non-psychoactive cannabinoid, can help decrease the anxiety-producing, psychoactive effects of the THC found in marijuana. Perhaps if Dowd had had some handy, she may have been able to circumvent some of her paranoia hell. What's most important though is to remember that most of the time, less is more, especially for first-time cannabis consumers. \n\nRemember: You can't overdose from marijuana, even if it feels like it at the time of an anxiety attack. Cannabis-induced anxiety doesn't last long, usually 30 minutes to an hour. However, this does depend on the person and how much and what you've consumed.\n\nIn Maureen Dowd's case, she probably felt out of it for 24 hours based on the extremely high dose she took. In most cases though, if you're experiencing cannabis-induced anxiety, remind yourself that you're in no real danger and the feeling will pass. \n\nIt's also important to remove yourself from situations that could worsen your anxiety. For example, if you feel like you're unsafe where you are, this will lead to more anxiety. Also, cannabis-induced anxiety can feed off personal stressors, like social situations that may normally make you anxious. \n\nFocusing on self-care can help your anxiety become more bearable. Engage in an activity that helps you relax and feel comfortable through the anxiety you're experiencing. Whatever it is that can help you feel calm and safe will help your anxiety dissipate more quickly. For example, you could:\n\n* Listen to music that makes you happy\n* Watch an episode of a light-hearted or heart-warming TV show\n* Eat your favorite meal\n* Drink a hot cup of tea\n* Settle into your bed \n\nThough cannabis-induced anxiety may feel inevitable at times, it's important to be aware of how different doses of cannabis affect you so you can try to avoid it in the future. If you've tried a new strain or dosage, and realized that it triggered anxious feelings, make note of it so you can avoid that in the future. Some people are particularly vulnerable to cannabis-induced anxiety. But for most people, anxiety is caused by a specific factor from the marijuana dose they consumed. \n\nTry to recognize if the size of the dose was larger than what you typically consume or if it was a different marijuana strain with higher levels of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) that may have caused the problem. Many people find it helpful to keep a journal of their cannabis consumption, so they have a record of what and how much they've consumed.\n\nIf you're new to cannabis and want to learn more, take a look at our [Cannabis 101](https://hellomd.com/tag/cannabis-101/) post. She wanted to buy one right away and take it home to try. “Whoa, Mary” we said. “Let’s talk about how this might work for you.”\n\nWe spent about twenty minutes counseling Mary. We learned about her history of THC use (none). We talked about the value of trying different ratios of the two most prominent cannabinoids, CBD and THC. We discussed how dosing is different for everyone and that the patient has to find the right dose.\n\nMary was very happy to have the information. She thanked us and walked out with a 60 mg (thc) strawberry- banana sucker, in a zip-lock bag for storage between uses. “Mary! Keep in touch and let us know how it worked for you!” We called out as she practically sprinted out the door. Two days later, Mary comes back to report the bad and the good news. \n\nFOLLOW US ON [FACEBOOK](https://www.facebook.com/pg/hellomdcompany/posts/) & [INSTAGRAM](https://www.instagram.com/hellomd_com/?hl=en)\n\nThe first night she did exactly what Grace did: She sucked on the sucker for 30 seconds, putting it back in the zip-lock bag on her night stand. She slept like a baby until about 3 am and then woke up “higher than a kite” as she put it. Gulp. Not the result she wanted.\n\nBut Mary, being a scientifically-minded woman, tried sucking on the candy the following night for only 10 seconds. Bingo! She slept like a baby till morning, with no fog-brain or “dopey” feeling. Mary had found her dose!\n\n### One Third of US Adults Experience Insomnia\n\nOf the many negative health effects of living in a stress-drenched culture, the most common has got to be insomnia. One-third of all adults in the U.S. report that they experience insomnia at one time or another with an estimated one billion sufferers worldwide. Two times as many women as men are affected and over half the people with insomnia are over 65 years old.\n\nPeople seeking insomnia remedies will spend $32 billion annually on products or techniques to help them get to sleep and stay asleep. They are desperate and for good reason. Lack of sleep impacts quality of life in many ways. It increases irritability, lack of concentration, depression, heart disease, diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure, among other things.\n\nRELATED: [MEDICAL MARIJUANA EASES INSOMNIA](https://www.hellomd.com/health-wellness/55959b7130633100060c0000/no-longer-sleepless-in-seattle-medical-marijuana-eases-insomnia)\n\n### The Cannabis Cure?\n\nAfter years of working with patients suffering from insomnia, we advocate using traditional herbs such as cannabis that have been used for many centuries to help people relax, get to sleep and stay asleep. We now know that the hundred known cannabinoids (chemical compounds) in the plant are most effective when they work together, and in combination with the terpenes and flavonoids also present in the plant. Finding the right combination, and the right dosage, is the goal of every patient, when possible with the help of an experienced cannabis patient counselor.\n\nRELATED DEAL: [25% OFF FIRST PURCHASE WITH TRUE FARMA](http://truefarma.com/hello-md/)\n\n### Dosing & Delivery\n\nWe recommend micro-dosing THC through the membrane of the mouth. Try using suckers, candies, oil and tinctures – any delivery system that enters the blood stream through the oral mucosa -- in order to transport those healing cannabinoids to our body’s endocannabinoid receptors.\n\nMicro-dosing is critical. Most patients do not want to experience psychoactivity. That “high” feeling usually keeps people awake. THC is a great relaxation herb in low doses. But the rule should be “go low, go slow” with all THC-dominant medicines. THC is even more effective when combined with CBD, cannabidiol. In combination with THC, CBD can mitigate against some of the possible psychoactive effects of THC, and bring calm and clarity to the mind.\n\n### Simple Rules to Follow...\n\nHerbal medicine is different for everyone. EVERY INDIVIDUAL is a unique organism, requiring different ratios of chemical compounds in their cannabis medicine, different doses, different delivery systems. Figure out what works best for you.\n\nTake the holistic approach. Look at every aspect of your life to identify the root causes of your sleeplessness such as stress, worry, and anxiety. Start to imaginatively address the root causes while you are treating your daily symptoms sensibly.\n\nMany natural responses to sleep issues are effective: These include the full spectrum from acupuncture to yoga, herbs like Ashwaganda and chamomile tea, massage, mindfulness-based therapies including meditation, Tai Chi and Qi Gong, exercise and healthy eating habits. Sometimes a simple thing like not drinking caffeine after 2 pm can make all the difference (or quitting caffeine and sugar entirely).\n\nAvoid those treatments that cause harm. Most pharmaceuticals come with side effects. Is it worth compromising your liver or kidney function by becoming dependent on chemicals that also leave you with fog- brain, constipation, depression, and worse?\n\nTake charge of your health. Consider placing traditional medicines such as cannabis herbs at the center of your treatment. You will be glad you did.\n\n_____________________________________________________________________\n\nIf you are new to cannabis and want to learn more, take a look at our [Cannabis 101](https://www.hellomd.com/health-wellness/56201c206430320006bb0000/cannabis-101-your-quick-guide-to-medical-marijuana) post. Some of the most prominent medical properties of cannabis are its pain fighting and anti-inflammatory abilities, but marijuana is also full of cannabinoids, terpenes and antioxidants that help promote health and wellness. Many proponents of cannabis also advocate that cannabis can be an important component for a healthy lifestyle.\n\nFOLLOW US ON [FACEBOOK](https://www.facebook.com/pg/hellomdcompany/posts/) & [INSTAGRAM](https://www.instagram.com/hellomd_com/?hl=en)\n\n### The Endocannabinoid System\n\nThe [endocannabinoid system](https://www.hellomd.com/health-wellness/what-is-the-endocannabinoid-system) is one of the largest and most extensive systems found in the body. Endocannabinoid receptors assist the body in maintaining homeostasis by aiding in the bodies’ response to internal and external stimuli. Stimulating the endocannabinoid system through consuming cannabis can create balance, encourage creativity, and promote calm or alert feelings. \n\n### Creativity, Patience & Spirituality\n\nOne of the biggest advocates of using cannabis for wellness is Steve DeAngelo, the founder of Harborside Health Center in California. DeAngelo has long been a cannabis advocate and has continued to educate people on marijuana while running the largest medical marijuana dispensary in the world. In a [Harborside blog post](https://www.shopharborside.com/learn/wellness-not-intoxication.html#) by DeAngelo he says: \n\n\"Benefits [of cannabis] can include the ability to spark creativity, extend patience and promote self-examination; to awaken a sense of wonder and playfulness, an openness to spiritual experience; the ability to enhance the flavor of a meal, the sound of music, or the sensitivity of a lover’s touch; to open the mind; to bring poetry to language and spontaneity to a performer; to catalyze laughter, facilitate friendship, and bridge human differences.\" It seems much like eating healthy and exercising, cannabis can help round out your personal wellness regime. \n\nRELATED: [CANNABIS: THE NEW HEALTH FOOD TREND](https://www.hellomd.com/health-wellness/57d7299fb35dd8000b68ccaf/cannabis-the-new-health-food-trend)\n\nCannabis can improve wellness by creating a positive and relaxed environment where you can embrace and enjoy life to the fullest. Wellness is about all the feelings that are encompassed in an improved mindset and well being, rather than a direct medical benefit like reducing the sensation of pain. Cannabis can help you live in the moment and free yourself from the burdens of daily life. Sometimes it is hard to compartmentalize your feelings, especially during trying times, but cannabis can help aid you in freeing yourself from excess baggage, allowing you to relax and enjoy the events going on around you. \n\n### Enhancing Everyday Activities\n\nIn addition, cannabis can help enhance the activities that may be important to you. Similar to what DeAngelo alludes to, marijuana can help you listen to music in a way that allows you to fully experience the moment. You can feel the melodies as you listen intently to all of the words, rather than just enjoying music on a surface level. \n\nMarijuana can help you enjoy food and the process of cooking on a deeper level by allowing you to slow down and taste every element of your meal. Even for people who enjoy cooking, sometimes it can just be a matter of getting food on the table, but with the addition of marijuana it can turn back into a stress-relieving creative outlet. \n\nSometimes it is also hard to fully enter a centered state while participating in activities like yoga and meditation. One of the ways that cannabis can help improve your wellness is by clearing your mind of unnecessary thoughts and allowing you to experience the moment. Cannabis can help you deepen into stretches and postures while truly focusing on your breathing, instead of what you need to pick up at the grocery store after your class. This ability for internal focus is one of the truly amazing ways that cannabis can be used to promote wellness in your life. \n\n### Wellness vs. Intoxication\n\nUsing cannabis for wellness is far different than using cannabis for intoxication, meaning it's not just about getting stoned. When consuming cannabis for wellness it is crucial to consume it consciously, based on what part of your world you are attempting to elevate by using marijuana. Walking into a typical dispensary, it’s quite common to be advised to purchase a 200 mg bar of chocolate or offered a gummy bear that may be anywhere from 20–50 mg of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).\n\nLuckily, this year we’ve seen the emergence of several new brands and products that have the microdosing cannabis consumer in mind. One of my absolute favorite new brands to hit the market in 2017 is called Satori. This California brand offers a [variety of low-dose chocolate-covered edibles](https://hellomd.com/articles/top-cannabis-brands-that-are-doing-it-right) in 1 mg, 3 mg and 10 mg doses.\n\nFOLLOW US ON [FACEBOOK](https://www.facebook.com/pg/hellomdcompany/posts/) & [INSTAGRAM](https://www.instagram.com/hellomd_com/?hl=en) \n\n### Microdosing Marijuana Explained\n\nThe [practice of microdosing marijuana](https://hellomd.com/articles/microdosing-101-cannabis-psilocybin-and-lsd) involves ingesting small amounts of cannabis to create a specific effect. For a medical marijuana consumer, this may be titrating a small amount throughout the day to treat a condition without feeling the effect of being high. For someone not seeking to treat a specific condition, microdosing may be used to produce a sense of well-being, reduce anxiety, focus attention or lift the spirits on a dreary day. Yep, in a nutshell, that’s microdosing.\n\n![Satori’s cannabis-infused chocolate-covered edibles](https://hellomd-production.s3.amazonaws.com/articles/58797273eb7401000b5ac214/embedded_images/58797302f00ad100085798ec/studio3.JPG)\nSatori pairs cannabis and chocolate in these tasty microdosed edibles.\n \nFor me, [microdosing cannabis started as a way to manage chronic pain](https://hellomd.com/articles/microdosing-cannabis-stopped-my-chronic-pain) effectively without feeling the psychoactive high. This worked very well for my chronic migraines and fibromyalgia. Over time however, I noticed that I enjoyed the relaxation and more subtle effects of microdosing. \n\nAfter a stressful day, microdosing a 3 mg cannabis-infused chocolate has a way of taking the edge off, similar to drinking a glass of wine. It should be noted that most people will not feel any noticeable psychoactive effects at around 2.5 mg and will begin to feel psychoactivity at around 5 –10 mg. As everyone is different, there are no hard and fast rules, but this applies to me. \n\nNow, I realize, if you’re an avid cannabis consumer with higher THC tolerances, such a low dosage may seem laughable. For those with lower tolerances though or for anyone who may have had a bad edible experience, this is a perfect way to onramp into the world of cannabis. \n\n### Satori Cannabis Chocolate Review\n\nFor my trial run with [Satori](https://twitter.com/satoriedibles), I chose to consume the 3 mg THC Wild Strawberries in Organic Milk Chocolate. Rather than sitting at home, I decided to test the 420 Games principle that [cannabis and athletics can go hand in hand](https://hellomd.com/articles/the-420-games-celebrates-athletes-healthy-living-and-cannabis.\n\nTo that end, I chose to attend a yoga class at my favorite yoga studio in San Francisco, Yoga Tree Castro, with my good girlfriend Valerie. (Valerie did not consume any cannabis.) I’ve been an avid yoga practitioner for the past 15 years, so I know both my capabilities and limits; I felt confident that 3 mg of THC wouldn’t put my downward dog (or me) in jeopardy. \n\nAs cannabis edibles must first be digested and then metabolized by your liver before entering your bloodstream, it can take up to one to two hours to feel the effects. With that in mind, I decided to consume my 3 mg Satori cannabis chocolate an hour before class time. Sitting in my car after I parked, I grabbed my Satori box. The packaging, which seems to be made out of recycled material, is aesthetically pleasing; it looks like high-quality-granola-meets-the-Whole-Foods-set.\n\n### Seeing Into One’s True Nature With Satori\n\nGoogling the word “Satori,” I came up with this: “The word is derived from the Japanese verb satoru. In the Zen Buddhist tradition, satori refers to the experience of kenshō, \"seeing into one's true nature.” Well, yes, I was feeling pretty good about everything at this point.\n\nOpening the box, I poured a handful of the cannabis chocolates into my palm. One of the first things I noticed was the chocolatey aroma wafting up intermixed with a faint scent of cannabis. I happen to like the smell of cannabis, so for me this was a pleasant experience. The second thing I noticed was that the size of the chocolates vary, and that they appeared to be panned, given the uneven texture. \n\nPanning refers to the practice of tumbling the chocolate over an object, such as a tasty dried strawberry. The only downside to panning with cannabis is that the dosage may vary. This is due to the size of the dried strawberry being panned and the amount of chocolate that actually coats the object. In other words, one strawberry might be 2 mg and another strawberry might be 4 mg. Unperturbed by this fact, I looked over the cannabis chocolates in my hand, chose a middle-sized chocolate-coated strawberry and popped it in my mouth.\n\n### First Impressions: This Is High-Quality Chocolate With a Hint of Cannabis\n\nOh, high-quality chocolate is what immediately entered my mind. Chocolate I want more of (which is somewhat problematic with edibles and requires restraint)! The other taste that came through was an earthy cannabis flavor, although it didn’t overpower the chocolate. The sweetness of the strawberry combined with the chocolate and cannabis flavor was pure bliss and unlike any other marijuana edible I’ve tried to date.\n\nUsually, it seems that manufacturers try to completely negate the cannabis flavor from an edible whereas Satori seems to celebrate it. Now, I would need to wait to feel the effects.\n\n![Cannabis chocolate to enhance my yoga experience](https://hellomd-production.s3.amazonaws.com/articles/58797273eb7401000b5ac214/embedded_images/58797276eb7401000b5ac215/studio2.JPG)\nGetting my zen on with Satori at Yoga Tree Castro in SF. \n\nAn hour later, I unrolled my yoga mat next to Valerie. Soon thereafter, I started to feel the effects of my cannabis-infused chocolate-covered strawberry as I began our first series of vinyasas. I felt a sense of relaxation and a deeper level of awareness within my body as we warmed up.\n\nOne striking difference was the emphasis I felt within my breathing and the sense of breath going to different parts of my body. As any yoga practitioner knows, this is a core tenet of yoga, but is often glossed over within the mind, which tends to wander and hold onto everything except the breath. I didn’t feel stoned; rather, I felt calm, focused and happy.\n\n### Feeling Happy From Satori’s Cannabis-Infused Chocolate-Covered Strawberry\n\nThe last word “happy” is a word I don’t often use when describing cannabis edibles. For the most part, when I take an edible, I notice a general sense of calm, but I also find them extremely useful for sleeping. With the Satori cannabis chocolate, I noticed a significant uptick in both my mood and energy level, which for me is quite unusual for any edible. If Satori could be analagous to something, it might be to the sativa marijuana strain. \n\nAs the class progressed, I went deeper into poses than I might normally go, while at the same time I didn’t feel as if I were stretching past any limitations. With the music going and feeling the flow both within myself and the class, I was really enjoying myself. There was only one point at which I thought better of a pose and stopped myself from doing a forearm stand, an upside-down inversion on the forearms. Considering I was about a foot away from my neighbors on either side, going upside down didn’t seem like it was in anyone’s best interest. \n\nAt the end of the 90-minute class, I was definitely feeling as if I were “seeing into my own true nature” as it were. I was extremely pleased with my experience with Satori’s 3 mg marijuana-spiked chocolate-covered strawberry. This is one cannabis product I plan to keep in heavy rotation and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone. Definitely a keeper.\n\nIf you’re new to cannabis and want to learn more, take a look at our [Cannabis 101](https://hellomd.com/tag/cannabis-101/) post. Let’s face it, carrying around cannabis flower is not always convenient and it is never what I might call discreet. In addition, many people look to find cannabis products that might carry the benefits of smoking, but they would prefer not to smoke at all. It seems this is especially true of those that may be new to cannabis as well as the senior community. For these reasons, the cannabis marketplace has been exploding with a wide variety of new products that explore a plethora of delivery mediums. One product which recently came to my attention is a cannabis lozenge by Strovia.\n\nStrovia solely focuses on the creation of lozenges and offers 11 different products with four different ratios: THC rich, CBD rich, Balanced 1:1 and “Just CBD”. When the cannabinoids CBD and THC are combined, patients benefit from the synergistic healing action of THC and CBD. There is also a variety of potency anywhere from 2mg - 32mg, which provides enough variety for the varying needs of patients. Doug of Strovia commented on dosing saying, “In plant-based medicine, each person responds differently to identical doses. Some people achieve a substantial benefit from a micro dose. However, they may encounter that same benefit at the low, standard or high potency doses.” \n\nThe lozenges combine familiar flavors such as echinacea, ginger and lemongrass, apple, mango, honey and even pomegranate. Strovia also touts their lozenges to be “infused with premium cannabis, cleanly extracted, lab tested and third party verified for both dose accuracy and purity.” \n\n### Delivery Method Matters\n\nIf your familiar with cannabis, you may know that different methods of administration yield different results. Lozenges are interesting in that the membrane of the mouth allows for the infusion of cannabis directly into the bloodstream, and quickly. This is different than a swallowed edible, in that the cannabis is metabolized by the liver and may be more susceptible to stomach acids and other digestive enzymes that can decrease the potency of the THC and CBD.   \n\nDoug from Strovia explained that “absorption through the oral mucosa is simply the most effective delivery method for reaching the [endocannabinoid system](https://www.hellomd.com/health-wellness/5751cbd970410e000b00003a/what-is-the-endocannabinoid-system). But more than that, lozenges are easier to administer to pediatric and geriatric patients as well as patients who have difficulty swallowing or holding down food down.”\n\nRELATED: [BLOOM FARMS CBD CARTRIDGE REVIEW](https://www.hellomd.com/health-wellness/57ba49a00bc21c000b6472c3/bloom-farms-cbd-cartridge-review)\n\nStrovia was interesting enough to us at HelloMD that we decided to do a road test with a few members of our staff. I felt relaxed and social. At the same time and my appetite was stimulated enough to enjoy the dinner and I found the lozenge to be delicious with just enough of sweet from the honey.\n\nThe second time I took the 10mg dose and it was after a particularly long day of work and I found it was just enough to take the edge off. In this instance it was like the background music was turned down to a whisper. This product is wonderful if you need to relax, especially for someone like me where I spend the majority of my time talking on the phone. I also found the soothing effects of the honey on my throat after a day of speaking, which is a wonderful effect of this lozenge.”\n\n_______________________________________________________________________\n\nVeronica - HelloMD Staff,\nStrovia Pomegranate Antioxidant,\nTHC Rich Strovia - 5:1 THC: CBD\n\nOne day last week after work, I decided to open up my new Strovia lozenge and it immediately reminded me of a jolly rancher. I popped it in my mouth and a lovely, strong flavor of pomegranate was what was immediately evident. After a few more minutes I detected a mild cannabis taste, which is fine for me. However, there was a cannabis after taste, particularly on the roof of my mouth, but a glass of water made it imperceptible.\n\nThe effects of the Strovia kicked in pretty quickly. What I immediately noticed was that I had less pain in my right knee, and I was able to perform deep squats and return to standing without struggle. My stress levels were reduced and my mood improved throughout the evening, and I was able to fall asleep right away. I enjoyed a restful night’s sleep without interruption, and woke up feeling refreshed.”\n______________________________________________________________________\n\nChris - HelloMD Staff,\nStrovia Lemon Honey Echinacea,\n20mg THC Rich\n\n“The Honey Lemon Echinacea lozenge is a nice switch from the traditional edible. The lozenge delivery is reminiscent of a Ricola, both in taste and overall experience, which I found incredibly pleasant. The onset of the 20 mg of THC was fast, but not in an overwhelming way. As a high tolerance user, I found the the high to be immediate but sustained over the course of several hours, which is unusual for me with this dosage, which I consider on the lower side. The lozenge itself is pretty big, so if you’re not a fan of hard candy, you may want to drop it in a cup of tea to dissolve as an alternative.”\n\n_______________________________________________________________________\n\nRyan - HelloMD Staff,\nStrovia Pomegranate Antioxidant,\n10mg CBD Rich\n\n\"I decided to try the Strovia at my work desk to see the impact of a CBD edible on my workflow. Anxiety can add a lot of noise to your thought processes and CBD clears this up for me. As a result, I am able to focus much better at the tasks at hand, in combination with fostering a relaxed and well adjusted mood. \n\nThe lozenge dissolved slowly and the effects also came on so slowly. I barely noticed a change in my own affect, a hallmark of a great CBD edible. I found that the rest of the day very went well for me, conversations came much more smoothly and I was able to focus on what I wanted to when I wanted to. In a series of upcoming blog posts I will review several new microdosed products that have recently come to the California marketplace, all of which are under 3mg a dose. The products I have selected for review are [Satori Edibles](https://hellomd.com/products/586593fb159af1000c6d05fc/) by CannaCraft, [PetraMints](https://www.hellomd.com/marijuana-edibles/petra-mints-moroccan-mint) by Kiva Confections, and Activation Spray by CannaAthlete. In the coming month I look forward to sharing my experiences with you and I hope you will share your microdosing experiences with me as well. If you are new to microdosing I encourage you to read on.\n\n### What's Microdosing?\n\nWhen people think of consuming cannabis, they often will think of the psychoactive high associated with THC. In cannabis lingo this is usually referred to as recreational consumption. On the flip side of this is the medical consumer. This type of consumer may or may not seek the psychoactive component, but mostly seeks therapeutic benefit for whatever condition may be ailing them. In theory, medical consumers will intake the smallest necessary dose, psychotropic or not, to create the desired therapeutic effect. This is where microdosing comes into play, but it is also not strictly constrained to medical consumption as microdosing can have several positive mood enhancing benefits, among other things. \n\nRELATED: [MICRODOSING: CANNATHLETE'S ACTIVATION SPRAY](https://hellomd.com/health-wellness/5895242981441900084c2b02/microdosing-cannaathletes-activation-spray-product-review)\n\nMicrodosing refers to the practice of ingesting small amounts of cannabis to create a specific effect. For a medical consumer this may be self titrating a small amount throughout the day to treat a condition without feeling the effect of being high. For someone not seeking to treat a specific condition, microdosing may be utilized to create a sense of well being, reduce anxiety, focus attention or uplift the spirits on a dreary day. Whatever the motivation may be, microdosing is not about achieving a stereotypical high. For me, [microdosing not only stopped my chronic migraines and fibromyalgia](https://www.hellomd.com/health-wellness/578da024fdc17e000700019d/microdosing-cannabis-stopped-my-chronic-pain), it has increased my sense of overall wellbeing. And I’m not the only one.\n\n### Microdosing is Trending\n\n[Recent studies have indicated](https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3566631/) that microdosing may have a more positive effect than macrodosing. This is in large part due to what is called the biphasic effect. Essentially this means that there is a difference between low dosing and high dosing; a substance at a certain point will induce a positive experience but past that point it may turn into a negative experience or a ‘downer’ when too much of a product is consumed. The biphasic effect is often referred to with both alcohol and cannabis. With cannabis microdosing, the aim is to always stay within the positive realm of experience.\n\nMicro dosed products will be one of the biggest trends you will see in cannabis for 2017. Why? People are catching on to the fact that not everyone who enters a dispensary is seeking to get blown out of their mind. In today’s typical dispensary, it is not unusual to see THC percentage levels being anywhere between 60%-99% in a large selection of products. As new consumers have come to the market, there is a new demand for smaller amounts of THC, which create smaller albeit noticeable effects. This has fortunately led to the emergence of the microdosing trend as well as new product development. \n\nPersonally, this makes me very happy as microdosing to date has been largely left up to the consumer. A responsible bud tender may suggest to a new consumer to down-dose products with high levels of THC. For instance a chocolate bar may have 150 mg of THC. In order to microdose that chocolate the consumer would need to cut a small piece off and guess that he or she is taking anywhere from 5-10mg. This is not an exact science and can lead to a bad experience.\n\nRELATED: [MICRODOSING: SATORI CHOCOLATES REVIEW](https://hellomd.com/health-wellness/58797273eb7401000b5ac214/microdosing-cannabis-satori-chocolate-edibles-review)\n\n### New Microdose Products Hit the Market\n\nFor the better part of two years I have been microdosing marijuana successfully. It has helped me as a medical patient but in addition I have also noticed the positive mood enhancement benefits. Microdosing also allows me to stay active both physically and mentally. For these reasons I have been a huge proponent of more microdosed products to be placed within the marketplace. New products will not only address a big gap but also will entice new consumers to give cannabis a try, especially those who are more fearful due to a past experience or from stories they have heard. \n\nFOLLOW US ON [FACEBOOK](https://www.facebook.com/pg/hellomdcompany/posts/) & [INSTAGRAM](https://www.instagram.com/hellomd_com/?hl=en) \n_______________________________________________________________________\n\nIf you are new to cannabis and want to learn more, take a look at our [Cannabis 101](https://www.hellomd.com/health-wellness/cannabis-101-your-quick-guide-to-medical-marijuana) post. Nothing is more romantic than curling up with your significant other as the rain or snow falls outside your window. There is something extremely sensual about winter and the contrast of cold outside while you are staying cozy and warm inside. I find that cannabis is a great way to enhance my sexual experience and help me keep warm in the winter. Perhaps I am one of the lucky ones, but cannabis provides me with a comfort and ease in my sexual experience, leaving me completely satisfied. \n\nOne reason why this may be so is that cannabis consumption is known to stimulate the production of oxytocin in the body. The production of oxytocin, also known as the bonding hormone, is closely related to the endocannabinoid system. Oxytocin is involved in a variety of human interactions, including sexual intercourse. Oxytocin is often released during orgasm, creating a bond between sexual partners that brings them closer together. The increased oxytocin production experienced while using cannabis during sex leaves me feeling deeply connected to my partner on a physical and spiritual level. Cannabis helps us achieve a level of closeness and unity that is truly unique. \n\n### Relaxing the Body & Mind\n\nCannabis provides the ultimate sense of relaxation and ease, leaving me free from any personal anxieties. Like many other women in the world, I have my own personal anxieties. Between worrying about how I look when I take my clothes off to personal performance, sometimes my internal worrying can make sex less enjoyable. Cannabis helps free me of that stress, allowing me to fully immerse myself in the enjoyment of the sexual experience. \n\nFOLLOW US ON [FACEBOOK](https://www.facebook.com/pg/hellomdcompany/posts/) & [INSTAGRAM](https://www.instagram.com/hellomd_com/?hl=en) \n\nCannabis can also help alleviate physical discomfort associated with sex. Whether physical discomfort is caused by mental anxieties or a medical condition, cannabis can help make sex more enjoyable. Marijuana not only increases physical stimulation, but it can also relax your muscles, making sex more pleasurable. Whether your discomfort is caused by chronic pain in some part of your body or due to hormone-related conditions like menopause, cannabis can help take the stress out of your sex life. No tipsy, no ‘2 glasses of wine’, no ‘just one more drink’. Either you’re sober, or fall-down drunk. If this was all we knew, would alcohol carry a stigma? Would more people stay away from it, or talk less openly about it?\r\n\r\nMuch has been said of the stigma surrounding cannabis. As we enter 2017, too many still feel obliged to whisper when referring to cannabis consumption. Or worse, don’t consume at all for some irrational fear of social retribution, or of repeating a bad experience from years ago. \r\n\r\nI don’t whisper. To the contrary, as an entrepreneur in the industry I exercise my responsibility to talk about cannabis whenever anyone will listen. Over the last two years, I have learned how astonishingly little people know about cannabis - including those who have been whispering in their basements for decades. \r\n\r\n### Creating Positive Experiences\r\n\r\nPeople seem to think there are still only two gears for cannabis – stay sober or get stoned. And ‘stoned’ is where the industry runs into trouble. Stoned is the negative image brought to mind by those who perpetuate the stigma. I get it; it would likely be the same if we thought fall-down drunk was the only gear for alcohol. But we know this not to be true for alcohol, and it is even less true for cannabis. \r\n\r\nRELATED: [WHY DOES CANNABIS MAKE YOU FEEL GOOD?](https://www.hellomd.com/health-wellness/why-does-cannabis-make-you-feel-good)\r\n\r\nOf late, we have been conditioned to think about cannabis as either medical or recreational. This may no longer be sufficient. Medical makes people think about disease and possible cures; recreational brings ‘stoned’ to mind. Yet there is so much more. Cannabis – depending how it’s consumed, when it’s consumed, what kind is consumed and most importantly, how much is consumed – can deliver a wide variety of positive, enhanced and safe experiences. \r\n\r\n### What About Cannabis for \"Wellbeing\"?\r\n\r\nIt’s from the people who have been using cannabis recreationally for years that I have learned the most about this. I’ve heard from those suddenly discovering that the right-sized edible has moved them off Ambien and into a healthy sleep pattern. I’ve heard from those surprised to find that a much lower dose than normal actually creates the perfect ‘background music’ to soothe what is otherwise high social anxiety. \r\n\r\nFOLLOW US ON [FACEBOOK](https://www.facebook.com/pg/hellomdcompany/posts/) & [INSTAGRAM](https://www.instagram.com/hellomd_com/?hl=en) \r\n\r\n\r\nI’ve also heard from those very pleasantly surprised to discover that a low-dose edible gave them mental energy unlike they ever experienced to knock out an all-day financially modeling session. And I’ve heard from those who realized that parsing out a fraction of what they might otherwise consume on a Saturday night gave them added focus to crush a work-out or a round of golf.\r\n\r\nBut what should we call these types of cannabis usage? I don’t know; call it wellbeing, call it therapeutic or call it your happy place. Just don’t call it stoned. New consumers, returning consumers and even heavy consumers have opportunity ahead of them to experience something different than they thought possible. And safely. Something that will bring a smile to their face. Now that’s worth talking about in 2017.\r\n\r\n_______________________________________________________________________\r\n\r\nIf you are new to cannabis and want to learn more, take a look at our [Cannabis 101](https://www.hellomd.com/health-wellness/cannabis-101-your-quick-guide-to-medical-marijuana) post. Like many people, I often set goals to reach a certain level of fitness and attempt to cut back on sugar or some other fat-inducing food product. Year to year though, there is one resolution that follows me, and that is to be happier and more mentally present in the moment than I have been during the previous year. \r\n\r\nEveryone experiences hardship in their daily life and stress and depression can suddenly begin to weigh on you. As much work as I do to create a healthier mental state, there is always room for improvement. Learning from experience, I now go easier on myself when I make mistakes and I respect my intuition when I think I need to take a day off for my own mental and emotional health. I've also realized that part of creating my happy place comes from a healthy dose of exercise and sound nutrition. These are tools in my toolkit, but there's also one more.\r\n\r\n### My Cannabis Resolution\r\n\r\nI'm going to say it out loud and stay proud, cannabis helps me improve my own mental health and well being. For this reason, I plan to continue to incorporate cannabis into my daily routine during coming year. Cannabis is praised for its ability to relieve pain and tension, but it can also help ease stress and anxiety that is part of everyday life.\r\n\r\nCannabis’s mental health benefits do not stop with anxiety, however. Marijuana has been found to lead to an overall more positive mood. A 2012 study, which was published in the journal _European Neuropsychopharmacology_, found that when the endocannabinoid system is crucial in emotional processing. Essentially, when THC is administered they responded less to negative stimuli compared to people who received a placebo. \r\n\r\n### Improving Mood & Outlook\r\n\r\nWhen people are more responsive to negative stimuli, they are more likely to have mental illnesses like depression, which cannabis can help to combat. Stimulating the the endocannabinoid system through THC consumption can help improve the mood through leading people to have more positive associations compared to negative associations. This study not only found that cannabis can help improve a persons mood, but it also found how deeply the endocannabinoid system is tied into emotional function. \r\n\r\nRELATED: [WHY DOES CANNABIS MAKE YOU FEEL GOOD?](https://www.hellomd.com/health-wellness/why-does-cannabis-make-you-feel-good)\r\n\r\nThe mental health benefits of cannabis do not stop with its most prevalent cannabinoid THC, but extend to the more than 80 different cannabinoids that are found in different plant strains. Non-psychoactive cannabinoids like CBD and THCA are gaining traction as elements in cannabis that can help improve your overall health. If there is one general health concept that everyone knows to be true, it is that inflammation is bad for you. Tumeric gained traction this year as a superfood that reduces inflammation, but CBD and THC-A both have similar anti-inflammatory properties. I don’t know about you, but when I don’t feel inflammation I tend to feel great!\r\n\r\n### Incorporating CBD & THCA\r\n\r\nPart of my New Year’s resolution to bettering my health involves consuming THCA and CBD that both will help improve my overall health. Reducing inflammation in my body through consuming these two cannabinoids also helps improve my mental well being and improve my happiness. CBD also helps relieve anxiety and causes calming feelings without being psychoactive. \r\n\r\nGetting the full benefits from cannabis involves embracing the whole plant, not just the components that are the most well known. Cannabis is also full of terpenes alongside its cannabinoids that help provide even more benefits. Terpenes may give cannabis different strains their signature smells, but they also provide effects like alertness, relaxation, mood elevation, and stress relief. Terpenes like limonene and linalool are particularly helpful at relieving stress and promoting relaxation. \r\n\r\n### Let’s Allow Ourselves to Feel Good!\r\n\r\nLet's be honest, cannabis just makes you feel good in general. Whether you're affected by stress or depression, cannabis can just take the edge off when you are having a hard day. Cannabis helps decrease the production of FAAH, fatty acid amide hydrolase, which breaks down anandamide in the body. Anandamide is a endocannabinoid that our body naturally produces that leads to euphoric effects. THC activates the same receptors in the body that anandamide does, naturally stimulating happy and joyous effects. \r\n\r\nCannabis is a great component to add to your New Year’s resolution on health, whatever it may be. To me, one of the most amazing benefits of cannabis is its ability to help me move away from pharmaceutical medications. Whether it be non-steroidal anti-inflammatories, anti-depressants, or opioids, cannabis is a great natural alternative to possibly addictive and harsh pharmaceuticals. Join me in making your new year one filled with health by embracing the amazing and wide-ranging benefits that cannabis can provide. \r\n\r\nHappy New Year to you from everyone at HelloMD and wishing you optimum health and wellness throughout 2017!\r\n\r\nFOLLOW US ON [FACEBOOK](https://www.facebook.com/pg/hellomdcompany/posts/) & [INSTAGRAM](https://www.instagram.com/hellomd_com/?hl=en) \r\n\r\n________________________________________________________\r\n\r\nIf you are new to cannabis and want to learn more, take a look at our [Cannabis 101](https://www.hellomd.com/health-wellness/cannabis-101-your-quick-guide-to-medical-marijuana) post. Between all the festivities, gift giving, short days and occasional sickness, there is plenty to be stressed about. Let’s face it, the holidays can act as a breeding ground for anxiety and the blues. \n\nSo how can you deal with holiday induced stress and anxiety? I asked some of our staff at HelloMD how they navigate through the holiday season with a modicum of cheer and they’ve offered up some of their favorite product recommendations for bringing the year to a close with a smile on their face. \n\n### CBD Gummy Bears \n\n\"Nothing eases my anxiety like a high CBD strain, however during the holidays I am not always amongst canna-friendly company. Even a quiet vaporizer puff can be too conspicuous amidst the wrong company, which results in more anxiety than I had in the first place! For this reason, I recommend keeping a few CBD canna-bears around for some discreet and effective anxiety relief.\" \n\nRyan - Customer Service\n\n### Kiva Terra Bites\n\n\"[Kiva Terra Bites](https://www.hellomd.com/biz/kiva-confections) are always a favorite of mine for tackling anxiety on the go. At 5 mg per serving these bite sized edibles come in two varieties, chocolate covered blueberries and chocolate covered espresso beans. A low dose of THC can serve as the perfect midday pick me up to combat stress and anxiety, and eating a little chocolate only seems to add to that effect. If you’re in need of an energy boost, be sure to go for the espresso bean flavor, as both chocolate and espresso beans contain caffeine.\" \n\nChris - Business Associate\n\n### Satori Low Dose Edibles\n\n\"[Satori](http://satorichocolates.com/) is a new brand that has yet to hit the shelves of most local dispensaries. These little chocolate love bombs are micro dosed anywhere from 1mg - 10mg. My favorite is to pop in a chocolate covered 3mg strawberry and follow it with 2 pieces of 1mg chocolate raisins every hour or so. Most edibles make me a little sleepy but these morsels put a smile on my face, making me giggly and happy, which is what I need! Satori will be widely available after the first of the year throughout California. Stay tuned, this brand is going to kill it.\"\n\nPamela - Co Founder\n\n### Flower Power Muscle & Joint Balm \n\n\"I don’t leave the house without my Flower Power Muscle & Joint Balm, especially during the busy holiday season. That's either sad commentary on life after 50, or just strong evidence that I finally found a topical that works! Much like the over-the-counter topical market – for pain – the cannabis one is flooded with products to choose from when looking for something to make pain go away. Flower Power is easy to apply and smells great – thanks to all the essential oils mixed for good measure. Mostly importantly, it just works. Flower Power is available in California. \n\nAnd for those of you elsewhere in the US looking to stop pain, I also highly recommend Apothecanna’s Extra-Strength Relieving Body Oil. As a bonus, it comes packaged as beautifully as any cannabis product I’ve seen.\"\n\nLarry - VP of Business Development\n\n### Jane’s Brew Coffee & Tea\n\n\"When I feel under weather a cannabis infused tea or coffee is what I need to cozy up by the fire. There are a number of these on the market, and availability will vary depending on your area, although I’m particularly fond of the Jane’s Brew chamomile tea. \n\nComing in a number of THC and CBD versions, be sure to choose which one is right for you. A warm cup of tea with a just the right amount of THC can go the a long way to help you melt the stress away from a long day. For added holiday bonus points, check out on of their infused hot chocolates.\"\n\nChris - Business Associate\n\n### Om Edibles Lion Balm\n\n\"Whether you are sore from the Black Friday brawl, get stuck sleeping on Uncle Craig’s couch, or are just a casualty of stress, the holiday’s pile on the pressure. I can handle the stress, however my back certainly cannot. The catch though, is that in the presence of my family, I would like to avoid discussing the primary ingredient of the balm slopped on my throbbing lumbar. \n\nOm edibles makes a fantastic balm that also comes in a stick form, much like a stick of deodorant. You simply slip the cap off, give it a twist, and slather it on a tightened back and neck. All of this can be done in a discreet motion, without plopping a big tub of “PROP 215 CANNABIS INFUSED” on the holiday table or retreating to the bathroom for a glob of cream.\"\n\nRyan - Customer Service\n\nRELATED: [CANNABIS CAN RELIEVE STRESS](https://www.hellomd.com/health-wellness/cannabis-can-relieve-stress)\n\n### Girl Scout Cookies\n\n\"[GSC](https://www.hellomd.com/marijuana-strains/girl-scout-cookies) is just the best strain in my opinion. I always have it around in one form or another (the forum cut, thin mint, and platinum varieties are all a treat). This doesn’t have a holiday twist. Anxiety free, 40/60 hybrid, psychedelic when you’re up and sleepy when your down; it is just the best strain for all over stress reduction.\"\n\nRyan - Customer Service\n\n### Platinum Kush \n\n\"Platinum Kush is my go to for stress relief. After hosting Thanksgiving for the first time with my girlfriend for 8 people my stress level was an 8 out of 10. Platinum Kush helps to take the edge off and get me back to a baseline. My preference is to smoke an indica which mellow me out and calm down. Platinum Kush apperently has trace amounts of CBD which relaxes my body and helps take my anxiety down a notch.\"\n\nBart - Customer Service\n\n### GrandDaddy Purple\n\n\"I always have an indica strain on hand, and love them for their deep relaxing effects. I tend to use indicas as a sleep aide as well. [Grand Daddy Purple](https://www.hellomd.com/strains/5a7cbbc4d520d60009f4f4a4) is among my top choices for an indica, but any other purple will do. A higher THC percentage at above 20%, it is fantastic for helping you unwind and get to sleep more quickly.\" \n \nChris - Business Associate\n\n### Chernobyl \n\n\"Laughter is certainly the best medicine and Chernobyl, being one of the few strains that gives me the giggles, will be my go to this holiday season. Too sweet, too sticky, too large, poorly packaged, too slow to come on and unpredictable with their effect. Lately however, I have discovered a new best friend that comes in a little tin box, and her name is ‘Kiva’ – the perfect marijuana edible.\n\nKiva Terra Bites are made by Kiva Confections one of the leading edible’s manufacturers in California. Their factory in Oakland, and the founding story of the company is impressive, and a wonderful example of how the thriving cannabis industry is uplifting the economy and providing opportunity to thousands of small businesses and their employees. \n\nFounders Kristi Knoblich and her partner Scott Palmer, were both photographers when the economy turned south in 2008. With prospects for photography work dimming, they started growing in their garden to help make ends meet. Upon visiting dispensaries to sell their crop, they observed a gap in the market for lab tested, professionally packaged and labeled edibles, that actually tasted good. With Kiva Confections, they set about meeting this apparent opportunity. \n\nTheir first product – The chocolate bar– sold well. But it was not long before they innovated further with a focus on the wonderful expresso bean, and the Kiva Terra Bite was created.\n\nKristi explains: \n\n“Patients began asking us for a smaller portion of our bars. They would make a motion with their hands, indicating a small, palm sized serving of chocolate. Scott concluded the chocolate covered espresso bean would fit the description of what they were looking for. The small, simple serving size would promise consumers convenience and the ability to dial down their dose, thereby mitigating their over consumption. And so, Terra was born in November of 2013. That’s what our company is all about: creating innovative ways people to consume cannabis, and have a positive experience!”\n\nKristi personally showed me around their impressive facility, and I watched in amazement as the espresso beans were created in large, turning cement mixer looking machines, each one carefully and skillfully manned by a production specialist. \n\n![](https://hellomd-production.s3.amazonaws.com/articles/582365ed65e8fd0008884100/embedded_images/582366cf65e8fd0008884107/Screen_Shot_2016-11-09_at_9.58.44_AM.png)\n\n**Kristi inspects one of the chocolate panning machines**\n\nKristi on how they learned the art of covering espresso beans with chocolate:\n\n“We spent some time in Ohio, learning the art of panning from the panning Guru, Kevin Dolan, who has since passed away. Panning is the process of coating the beans or berries in chocolate until they become the target size; it’s like the snowball effect. Now Kiva has a team of expert panners, and they practice their art right here in our facility in Oakland. Our Terra Espresso beans and blueberries have become our most popular products.”\n\nSo why is this the perfect edible, and why have I become such a fan?\n\n#### Portion Size (and dose)\nEach chocolate bean contains 5mg of THC. This makes dosing (or micro dosing) easy and consistent. Just eat as many beans as you want to dose. I personally like to take two beans together, and then might add a third about an hour later. This 10 – 15mg range puts me in a wonderful, happy mood for the evening, enhances the sound of music and leaves me sharp enough to cook and enjoy a delicious meal with my family. It’s the perfect Friday night wind down after a stressful week. \n\n#### Delicious Taste\nThere is no hint of cannabis in the flavor. It’s just a combination of great tasting dark chocolate (which I love) and roasted espresso coffee bean which you just chew up once the chocolate has gone. I am not sure the espresso bean is enough to provide a wake-up kick, but it might, and I personally don’t enjoy getting sleepy with cannabis and so this is an added bonus. \n \n#### Convenient \nThe beans come in a little round tin, and are easy to pack and carry. There is no wrapper to create trash, or look unsightly as partially unwrapped chocolate does. I have taken the beans camping with me, and to others houses as a dinner guest. Everybody seems to love them!\n\n#### Fast Acting\nI have eaten edibles that take a full two hours to take effect, which is really too long for my purposes. I can't say why, but my experience with Terra Bites is that you usually feel them within 20 minutes of dosing. Perhaps it's something to do with the chocolate delivery.\n\nAll I can say in conclusion, is that I now keep a ready supply of these wonderful treats. Please don't take them away!\n","image":{"childImageSharp":{"fluid":{"base64":"data:image/jpeg;base64,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","aspectRatio":1.1111111111111112,"src":"/static/65fd7abc8ab246eaa103856a33b3f117/14b42/6d4786ff94ae9014c48cf10bd4431662.jpg","srcSet":"/static/65fd7abc8ab246eaa103856a33b3f117/f836f/6d4786ff94ae9014c48cf10bd4431662.jpg 200w,\n/static/65fd7abc8ab246eaa103856a33b3f117/2244e/6d4786ff94ae9014c48cf10bd4431662.jpg 400w,\n/static/65fd7abc8ab246eaa103856a33b3f117/14b42/6d4786ff94ae9014c48cf10bd4431662.jpg 800w,\n/static/65fd7abc8ab246eaa103856a33b3f117/433c6/6d4786ff94ae9014c48cf10bd4431662.jpg 1135w","srcWebp":"/static/65fd7abc8ab246eaa103856a33b3f117/58556/6d4786ff94ae9014c48cf10bd4431662.webp","srcSetWebp":"/static/65fd7abc8ab246eaa103856a33b3f117/61e93/6d4786ff94ae9014c48cf10bd4431662.webp 200w,\n/static/65fd7abc8ab246eaa103856a33b3f117/1f5c5/6d4786ff94ae9014c48cf10bd4431662.webp 400w,\n/static/65fd7abc8ab246eaa103856a33b3f117/58556/6d4786ff94ae9014c48cf10bd4431662.webp 800w,\n/static/65fd7abc8ab246eaa103856a33b3f117/b6e4e/6d4786ff94ae9014c48cf10bd4431662.webp 1135w","sizes":"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px"}}}}},{"node":{"id":"Article_2225-markdown","title":"Top 5 Marijuana Strains for PMS & Menopause","slug":"top-5-marijuana-strains-for-pms-and-menopause","content":"### Cannabis Helps with Symptoms\n\nCannabis can help with many of the different symptoms of menopause and PMS.
